“I love this place I have been coming here for atleast 15 years and the food is always fresh made and delicious the owners are always so friendly and their children who helps them are very nice also. Everyone has to go their and eat their Alcapurrias, relleno de papa, empanadas and the “
“I placed an order because I had this food at another event, and the food was fantastic. When I placed my order by phone, the woman who answered was very polite and helpful. She was very busy, but called me back within just a few minutes. I will purchase from this restaurant again!“
“I dined here after the K. Michelle concert at the Santander Arena. Parking: street. Atmosphere bright! Cafeteria vibe with a bar in the back. They played Latin music. Service: It was good. There was a language barrier at times, but I was able to get what I wanted. The women were nice, and they worked together to make sure I was good. Drink: passion fruit mojito: delicious! It had a good kick!! They also give you chips and salsa. Food: mofongo salmon y churrasco. The steak was very flavorful!! The salmon was a little overcooked. The mofongo was delightful!! Dessert: flan. It was ok. I've had better. Overall, I enjoyed my food. I would definitely go back here if I'm in the area.“
“The food is always delicious. The service was excellent. The lovely ladies that work there really want you to enjoy your meal. The music and drinks where incredible and I think I have a crush on the owner, a beautiful Latina lady. Let me tell you she can cook. You should try it out, you won't be disappointed.“
“If you are looking for authentic Dominican food, this is the place to come. This is a mom and pop establishment with the mom doing the cooking. They are open until midnight and have a variety of foods that are already in a steam table prepared so you can eat quickly or you can order off the menu. The daughter is Naomi and she was our server and speaks English. I know a few words in Spanish, enough to order my food, but thankfully, Naomi spoke perfect English. It is a small place with a small parking lot. If you are looking for ambience, this is not an elegant restaurant, but more of an authentic feel. While we like elegance, we much prefer this home style experience. The service was quick, it was wonderful, and very helpful. They have juices made on premise. I had guava, and my husband had soursop. That cow foot stew was one of the best I have ever had anywhere. This is a little gem in Reading and in walking distance of the Santander arena and the Doubletree Hotel. This is a perfect spot if you happen to get into town late because most of the restaurants close very early. We arrived a little after 8 PM, and many things were already shut down and shuttered. El Tronco de Lily's to the rescue.“
“Tried their Beef & Cheese Empanada and the Chicken Empanada. Beef & Cheese was the clear winner. Juicy and flavorful with no need for the hot sauce. Generous amount of filling. The crust or tapa was excellent. The Chicken was a little dryer and not as flavorful but still good with the (mild) hot sauce. I’ll definitely be back for the Beef & Cheese.“
“I was so excited to see this place pop up here in reading. I love to find my favorite Latin spot, it makes me feel nostalgic for my grandmas cooking as a kid. The food is amazing, the smell already won me over but the taste is unbeatable. The owners and staff are so lovely to chat with. We will definitely be coming back as regulars :)“
“A very well hidden Peruvian gem. The place is very clean, Melissa is very friendly and explained everything on the menu. The fried mojarra (fish) was very well seasoned, tender and crisp with fried yuca and white rice. The chicha morada is super refreshing. First time, and it won't be the last...“
