“Great food. Inexpensive. Great location but bad neighborhood. No parking, only street. Small inside with 6 tables But lots of Food options made daily and Fresh. Great staff, only really speak Spanish, little English, but understood everything, and served me all my needs. This place is up and coming with all their fresh food.“

“I've been to Bolo too many times to count since it opened. The food here is excellent, the service is great, and the ambiance is unlike any other place in the city. It is a true Center City gem. I always go for the Vaca Frita with a side of Maduros. Easily my favorite meal in Philly.“

“My date and I checked this restaurant put after craving for some Latin food. Friendly staff and waitress at the door to start our dining experience on the right foot.
Our appetizers were the Empanadas and a Sopa de Pollo(chicken soup). Soup was delicious and I recommend getting the chicken empanadas over the beef due to more flavor.
My date had the Ropa Vieja, a stewed flank steak, while I had the Churrasco Colombiano with garlic shrimp, which is a grilled ribeye steak in medium temperature. Excellent dishes and the spices were great with both the meats and shrimp.
Definitely check this place out for a filling Latin dinner experience!“

As someone who’s quite particular and familiar with these dishes, I can confidently say that the quality and care put into the preparation were top-notch. “There were nine of us who dined there last night and we 100% agreed that the reviews are spot on. I got the Mexican Style grilled shrimp tacos and they absolutely slapped. We got the Latinas Bites for our app and finished off the night with the Dolce Quesadilla and Xangos for dessert, which were both uniquely and indulgently sweet. During dessert, I had pointed out that you'll know how good the food is because nobody's talking and everybody's eating. The first bite was as savory and delicious as the last and you must be prepared to bring food home. If you're familiar with the 7 Elements of Taste, this is definitely the place for you. I'll easily give Latinas a 9/10 and I will definitely be back, since there's so many more things I want to try.
Dietary restrictions: They have both flour and corn tortillas for those who have a gluten sensitivity. Make sure to ask about what's gluten free.
Kid-friendliness: There is a section of the menu dedicated to kids, so they definitely have some options.“

“My family loved the food. We ordered four pupusas with beans and cheese, four more of those with cheese and loroco, guacamole, and maduros. The generous portions made it enough for two adults and two little kids, and we had leftovers too! My only complaint is that they only have their stuffed plantains available in the morning.“

“Hidden gem! Don’t let their location intimidate you. I go here at least once a week! Their beef and cheese empanadas with a passion fruit drink! Spot on fire and fresh. “I’ve been following the owner for years now and when I found out she settled in Philadelphia, since then, I’ve traveled countless times from New York just to have a taste of THIS Dominican food and I’ve got to say it’s absolutely amazing. Very authentic, flavor is delicious, customer service is super friendly and welcoming. The drinks are refreshing and are made CRISP daily, the atmosphere is cozy and a great space just to vibe. Summer time dinning in has AC and it’s on BLAST making the atmosphere comfortable. If you’re looking for great authentic Dominican cuisine in Philadelphia I’d recommend KAKU.“

“The experience was ok we waited so long for our food. Then the wrong food was brought out so we had to wait longer for the correct food. Lastly someone else’s bill was given to us which we paid until we noticed items that we did not order was on the bill. So we had to wait for the correct bill and change to come.“

“Food was fantastic and the order was on time for the requested pick up, I even got a call back to confirm my order was ready. I didn't get platters this time, I ordered everything a la carte, by the pound. We got Pernil, chicharron, tostones, arroz con gandules, stewed beef, guineo, beans, and white rice with extra gravy. Online ordering was also a breeze, the layout was straight forward and very intuitive. It gave you options and even a small section for special requests. Definitely one of my new favorite spots to drop in to for a hearty meal. I'll be back again to try the rest of the menu and looking forward to grabbing some pastelillos.“
