“I was able to visit Bolo as a walk-in last week, and I had such a wonderful experience from start to finish.
The hospitality stood out immediately. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the host, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. She was Dominican, and it was so nice to be able to speak Spanish with her right away. It made me feel comfortable right away and added such a personal touch to the experience. She was very young, and I regret not getting her name because she truly made a great first impression.
After I was seated, my server, Devon, continued that amazing level of hospitality. She was attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely one of the best servers I've ever had. She checked in at all the right times, made excellent recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my meal. I honestly cannot say a single bad thing about this team. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, every single staff member I interacted with was friendly and wished me a good night. It's rare to find a restaurant where every employee contributes to making guests feel so welcomed.
As for the food, I have absolutely no complaints. Yes, it's a little pricey, but that's to be expected for the Rittenhouse Square area. Every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully prepared, and well worth it.
And the drinks... don't even get me started! They were phenomenal creative, delicious, and some of the best cocktails I've had in a long time.
Overall, Bolo delivered an outstanding dining experience. The food and drinks were fantastic, but what really sets this restaurant apart is its incredible staff. Their genuine warmth, attentiveness, and hospitality made this a meal I'll remember, and I can't wait to come back.“

“I chose to celebrate my birthday with brunch at Mamajuana based off of the social media posts I noticed on IG. Needless to say, it did not disappoint. My birthday brunch experience was amazing. The ambiance and energy were perfect. This is the exact vibe I was going for to celebrate my birthday. The service was great and I tried something different in terms of food which was also tasty. I highly recommend based off of my experience and would definitely return again. Shout out to Judy my hostess/server who was very attentive!“

“Hands-down, one of my new favorite restaurants! My boyfriend and I went to last night for New Year’s and the staff there was insanely amazing and kind and thoughtful and generous. My boyfriend had a medical emergency which resulted in us having to leave via ambulance and the staff there just handled it was so much grace. I can’t believe I’ve never been before but I will 100% be going back again and again and again! You guys are amazing and we are forever grateful!“

“La Esquina del Bronco is an absolute gem in the neighborhood to get some amazingly authentic Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 food! Everything is in the hot case so you get served quickly. It’s all so fresh and delicious. As others have mentioned I agree that the portion sizes are very large! If you’re not sure what to get you can ask the owner and they’ll recommend you something. It’s located right by the York Dauphin L station, just a block away. Prices are reasonable. You can eat in or get takeout. I recommend everyone to try!“

“I stopped by this little spot for a quick bite and ended up blown away! I ordered the grilled chicken wrap, veggie fritters, and a side of fries — everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The chicken was juicy and seasoned just right, easily some of the best I’ve had in the area. The fritters were crisp on the outside and soft inside — absolutely delicious! The staff was super friendly, quick with service, and the place was spotless. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. This has definitely become my new go-to food stop — highly recommend!“

“My family loved the food. We ordered four pupusas with beans and cheese, four more of those with cheese and loroco, guacamole, and maduros. The generous portions made it enough for two adults and two little kids, and we had leftovers too! My only complaint is that they only have their stuffed plantains available in the morning.“
