“Let me say it’s a beautiful restaurant. It has a nice grand feel. Service was very good. Food was ok. Duck was very good but it could have been half of it and cheaper. Potato wedges kind of boring. Pork tenderloin was overcooked. Demi was very good. Mushroom soup was excellent through I believe people really only like cream of mushroom so putting a few pieces in the bottom I did not like. The rolls to start the meal are boring. It needs something more exciting and maybe a flavored butter would be great. We will be back though.“

“First time here on a Thursday night.Service was excellent.I wasn't a fan of the steamed dumplings at all but my pho was pretty good as were the spring rolls. The fried rice with egg was good too.The others in my party got the calamari and they said it was good.I was lucky to get a good parking spot less than a half a block from the front of the restaurant.“

“I usually get the same items about once a month. The oil and vinegar requested on the side of my cold sub was opened, dumped all over the bag, and got onto the hoagie roll making some of it soft/mushy. The cold sub I ordered was warm because it was put in the bag with hot food. The small pizza: The crust was different this time (heavier/thicker) and the cheese was all over the box lid due to putting food on top of it. The tiramisu: it is usually a light dessert that highlights flavors of amaretto/coffee. What I received was an attempt at making it look like tiramisu but there are no hints of coffee/amaretto and it's very heavy (almost like a cheesecake consistancy). When addressed, Sophia's basically said I don't know what I'm talking about and everything was made as it usually is. For that reason, they lost me as a customer.“
“STAY AWAY...unless...you want the absolutely most amazing cookies you have ever had in your life! I will no longer bake because I could never even come close. The Salted Caramel???? To LIVE for!“

“Gotham's vigilance extends beyond the shadows, even to the quaint corners of Reading, PA, where Batmanjawn, recently ventured into a unique and historic building. It was Judy's on Cherry, which stands as a beacon of culinary excellence, a sanctuary where even the Caped Crusader can find respite from the eternal battle against crime, a haven of culinary delights where heroes and ordinary folk alike can find solace in the simple pleasures of good food and great company. I was greeted by the warm glow of vaulted wooden ceilings and the aroma of freshly baked focaccia bread, a sensory experience fit for a hero. Gail, the hostess, with her gracious demeanor, welcomed me with the warmth of a trusted ally, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. The butternut squash soup started the meal off Bat-tastically. The old fashioned packed the punch of the Batmobile's turbo boost. The filet mignon, tender as a villain's heart after a night in Arkham, paired perfectly with a side of mashed potatoes and veggies that would make Alfred proud. But it wasn't just the food that left me in awe; it was the service, embodied by Steve, a stalwart guardian of hospitality, a waiter of unparalleled dedication and charm, whose smile could rival even the Joker's grin. With 17 years of service under his utility belt, he exemplified the hospitality that does justice to Judy's reputation of excellence. The unique cigarette-turned-magnet dispenser, made me marvel at the ingenuity of humanity, the resilience of the human spirit. It was transformed from nicotine machine to an artist’s dream. Poetic. As I stood atop the payment folio, passing my Judy’s gift card like a torch of patronage to Steve, I couldn't help but feel that Judy's on Cherry isn't just a restaurant; it's a sanctuary for the soul, a refuge where heroes and artists alike find solace in a world fraught with chaos. To Judy's, I say: may your lights never dim, your flavors never fade, and your legacy endure like the legend of the Batmanjawn.“

“Stopped in for a slice of stuffed steak pizza to take home! Comes with a side of marinara for dipping. OMGsh! It was so so good. Has steak, onions, and sweet peppers inside. Right up my alley. This place just has the BEST marinara sauce, too! And everything is hot when you get it - not luke warm and then cold by the time you get it home.“

“We were in town for a concert at Santander, and we went to the Pike Cafe for dinner first. Plenty of parking, easy to find in downtown Reading. It has a sports bar vibe, lots of tvs everywhere. The atmosphere was casual and family friendly. The food was good. Get the skillet brownie sundae to top off your dinner so yummy!!! Service was top notch. Really friendly. Looked like a fun place to hang out, but we didn't have time.“

“I was having a crazy day. On the way to the zoo, my car was hit by a golf ball. At the zoo, I witnessed a crazy tussle between 2 zebras. After that, I needed a break. I needed to feel normal again. I went to Panera. I got my sip club beverage and a suggestion popped up for a $2 bakery item. And I thought, Why yes! I think I will! I got the orange cranberry bread and it was amazing. I may never forget the black and white hoodlums, but I am glad I can relax at Panera.“

“We cannot speak highly enough about Stokesay, their entire team, and, most importantly, Hannah Kufro, our Wedding Coordinator that we worked with! My wife and I signed our venue contract one-year to the date ahead of our big day, with a different coordinator, one who ultimately ended up transitioning to a different organization just a week before our tasting was scheduled. For a couple planning a wedding, especially so close to their big day, this would normally have been an incredibly stressful change to hear about, however, we were expeditiously contacted by Hannah and met her days later at our tasting – immediately after meeting her we knew we were in great hands, and we both agree that our initial impression was spot on. Hannah’s attention to detail, flexibility, and knowledge have continued to impress ourselves, our parents, and our guests who experienced a phenomenal wedding just this past weekend. She not only hit the ground running with our event, but confirmed several details and was able to work with us to ensure our wedding day was as perfect as possible. While I have personally sent messages to several friends I know who are engaged and looking for venues, I wanted to share this note here for those couples looking for venues – Stokesay should 100% be on your list; the charm, history, venue, and staff will all make your big day as perfect as you could ever dream of – if anything, just go check it out – once you see this in person you’ll see exactly what we are talking about. With deepest gratitude, Blake and Lindsay Tobias“
