“Love this spot. Just moved to the area and already addicted to the apricot tart. Ordered the Classic on a Croffle (croffle was a bit too greasy in combo with the hash brown for me) with provolone, sausage and avocado, garlic aioli and tomato bacon jam on the side (tomato bacon jam wins hands down: Sweet & Savory). London fog with oat milk was steamed great with a thick layer of foam that didn’t make it home. My only issue is there is not enough seating and nowhere convenient to wait for your order, just feels like standing in the middle of the room blocking the menu.“

“I saw this place on social media so wanted to check it out. You have an amazing idea here. I thought the Z thing was only for the menu but they have their employees substituting Z’s for everything. It’s funny, it’s an experience. Great customer service IMO.Y’all need to update your address or business page on google maps, this location shows one place. I saw another location on your website, this review is for the truck at 3400 Fox St. I’m not even sure what this business page address is for. Maybe this is an old location?Onto the chicken cheesesteak. I got one with fried chicken tenders inside, lettuce, and I think they put some kind of hot sauce as well. The bread this comes on is incredible. If you want anything HEALTHY, DO NOT come here, I’m reading that it’s deep fried bread. Whatever they do to it, I could’ve ate it alone. The fried chicken inside is seasoned well. It’s kinda too much and falls apart as a result but who cares, eat some first with a fork then eat the rest. I got fries here but they were just okay. I want to come back and try something else.“

“Food was fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. Beware of the pickled jalapeños if you are sensitive to spicy food. Both their beef gyro and falafel were the best I’ve ever had. Please keep in mind that I don’t even like meat and I’ve been struggling with anorexia for decades. So it’s very difficult for me to eat anything unless it’s super fresh and extraordinarily tasty. This place is a true gem and treasure.Service was outstanding, The owner-host made us feel immediately welcomed and at ease. She let us customize our order and was very prompt with our food. She was very knowledgeable about the ingredients they use, as well. The seating area is small, but that is to be expected in this area.Overall, this was by far our favorite restaurant to visit in the Philly area.Vegetarian options: they have falafel, grape leaves, hummus, baba ghanoush, salads, you name it! they offer endless customization options if you’d like, as well.Dietary restrictions: they serve halal, and they are knowledgeable about the ingredients they use.“

Mila's Cafe Breakfast • $

“Where to start!!! I happened to be at Upper Darby HS this morning doing a favor and decided to see what Yelp recommended near me. There were the usual (Tank and Libby's....Sabrina's....Kettle....etc), but I'm a common guy by nature and wanted to get back to my corner, neighborhood diner roots. All these fancy places starting me to talking with a Main Line accent when I grew up in New Castle.... lol.... This place showed up, and although there weren't many reviews, they were all excellent. Plus, looking at the pics, this was the vibe I was looking for. Walked in and was greeted by Patty and Marla. Within 5 minutes, they made me feel like a regular, when I had never even been there before. I ordered a cup of coffee while I checked out the menu. I NEVER would've expected such a great cup of coffee from a corner spot. It was worthy of La Colombe. For breakfast I decided to have the 2XL egg mixed grill. This included...... get this..... two scrambled eggs (i added cheese), home fries (I added peppers and onions), two slices of thick slab bacon, two pieces of sausage, two slices of ham, and one piece of scrapple and toast on the side....... All this...... for only $11.95. While I was eating this hearty, delicious meal, in walks the owner, Jason. Young man is doing the damn thing. Owns this diner and the mechanics shop across the street. Very personable. So many of our young black men are out there doing positive things like this and you don't hear about it. I'll tell you this. I live 40 minutes from here but I will support and promise to have my a** in one of those chairs at least once a month.“

“My cousin took me here while visiting Philly. What a fun way to enjoy yummy cakes. I appreciated the time taken to create each of the whimsical desserts like the polar bear vanilla mousse cake and the mango mousse cake. My favorite was the mango mousse hands down! The mango mousse had delicate layers to it. It was not overly sweet and a nice portion size. At nearly $10 for one, I think it is worth it on special occasions. If I were to go again, I would just buy multiple of the mango mousse. The polar bear cake was my second favorite. The mousse is very light and smooth. The least favorite was the hazelnut cake. It was a bit too dry for me and not nearly as good as the mousse cakes.“

There is an interesting mix of people, from the homeless guy angling for a free coffe, to the serious millennials on their laptops. Dogs are welcome as well, so it's a fun and lively atmosphere. “I have been coming here for over 2 years! During the late Spring through early Autumn there are open mic nights with talented musicians. Weekends are often busy and popular social eatery.Outside patio has a view of the Schuylkill River and lots of opportunities to listen and watch birds. The head chef and managers pride themselves on fresh, high quality ingredients, food preparation, kind and patient service. Their servers are always friendly and sweet. Highly recommend! Outside seating is dog friendly!Vegetarian options: Cucumber salad!! Several types of sandwiches and sides.Dietary restrictions: They have options for gluten free, non dairy, egg free, tree nut free, and vegan.Kid-friendliness: Extremely. Lots of seating, outdoor space to walk around and even play, and good for strollers. Some tables are small café style and some are larger for families.Wheelchair accessibility: This café has mostly flat seating area, the staff will help open door but the entrance may be a tad narrow to order if it’s busy.“

“We were having a birthday breakfast for my girlfriend, and had the pleasure of having Basil as our server. He was absolutely AWESOME. As we are super particular about food, Basil helped us with suggestions on the menu, was absolutely hilarious, so helpful and made our entire day! She and I have both been in the customer service field for a very long time, and he again was just super great. Lemon ! Ricotta are phenomenal tooKid-friendliness: I would take my 12 yr old here no prob, the menu is very kid friendly even outside the kids menu“

“Everything is good: good service, good food. Nothing is great though, and it's quite expensive (think $32 for some flank steak strips with frites). There are better restaurants right on the other side of the Schuylkill (like Vernick on Walnut), so this one is really just for when you happen to be in the neighborhood.“

“I cannot recommend this París Baguette location more highly - not just because they’re a nice cafe to have a cup of coffee and a pastry in, but because my wife and I had them provide a cake for our wedding that got rave reviews from all of our guests.A few years ago during the early stages of the pandemic, my wife (then girlfriend) and I picked up a blueberry yogurt cake to have on a weekend getaway. She’s a baked good snob and was skeptical of a cake from a chain bakery, but was BLOWN AWAY by that cake - so naturally, we devoured the whole thing over that weekend. We’ve raved about it to friends and family and stopped in for slices of it a bunch. When we were thinking about what we wanted to do for our wedding cake, we looked at Paris Baguette as an affordable option. Unfortunately, we saw that their celebration sheet cake didn’t come in the Blueberry Yogurt flavor. But then we thought what the harm was in asking if they could do a custom cake - and Diana at the University City location was willing to help us out. We ordered two Celebration Sheet Cakes that she and her team customized with the blueberry yogurt icing for us. We also ordered a smaller Blueberry Yogurt cake for our cake slicing pictures. On the morning of the pickup, I was freaking out (pre-wedding jitters and all) and showed up 30 minutes early for pickup. The team at this location was so sweet and patient with me. They even offered me a drink on the house and a staff member helped me load up the cake into my car.At the wedding, a family friend who doesn’t eat any sweets had TWO SLICES (compliment of the highest degree). Everybody loved the cakes, people were asking where we got them, and we were so happy with our decision to go to this location.“
