“Always a nice place to take your kids on a hot day. Not a ton of seating if you plan on staying but the staff (mostly students) are all very friendly and generally very helpful.Parking: On a busy day, parking is near impossible in the lot as it's pretty tight, and there aren't many spots, but street parking is always a viable option.”

Many of the dishes have kept me up at night from the french toast to the cheesesteak and the jackfruit medianoche.Chef Mark has always been hospitable and attentive, and you can tell how much passion he has for his plates and his community. This restaurant is truly a gem in Philly and the team behind its magic deserve all the success. If you’re looking for a place to try, you cannot go wrong by visiting Primary.”

“I've been here a few times, it's a fun place to bring people because of the whole speakeasy vibe. They don't take reservations so it's hit or miss if you can actually get in. Drinks are hit or miss for me too. Over time I've done drinks from the menu and the bartenders choice. I know it sounds silly but I really dislike the ice they use! It's like ice chips which cheapens the drinks, which seems to go against the suave swanky vibe. I got the pickle mule this time though and really liked it.”

“Stopped by here for a quick dinner during Wrestlemania 40 weekend in Philly. Such a cool place with neat decorations through out. If you're a metal head/horror enthusiast, definitely come here. Service was excellent and I started with the Mac And Cheese Balls, which was delicious. Then, I had the spaghetti with 'meatballs.' Good, but thought had way too much tomato sauce.Again, the decor was awesome, atmosphere is chill and had horror movie scenes/commercials playing on their TVs. Would recommend!”

“Bought shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, esquites, chicken tacos and guacamole. The only downside is that the chicken tacos were made with dark chicken thigh meat, I wrongly assumed it would be chicken breast (my fault for not asking).Otherwise good decent food!”

Flavors were amazing. I love seeing the reactions of the other patrons as the eat the courses! Will definitely be back many time hopefully. Well worth the drive great neighborhood ample parking. Beware of the non descript building.At $158 you will be very satisfied with every bite. The ala carte menu has some great add ins priced accordingly 20-38$. “Very small intimate space with the open kitchen directly on the floor. Had an incredible experience here! The staff was super friendly and bantered with us all night. The stand out to me was the scallop toast, it practically melts in your mouth. Though everything we had was excellent flavor and presentation wise. I will absolutely be back!”

“Love this place. It’s a favorite for brunches. On weekends expect a wait - today we were told a 30 min wait but in reality it took maybe 15 mins. There’s a cute plant shop nearby you can browse while waiting.Shakshukas are both excellent. The petit steak is also delicious and hearty (they are pieces of steak mixed with potatoes, so don’t expect an actual steak). Salmon was also delicious and refreshing.Highly recommend for brunch in Philly. Some of the best brunch food I’ve had in the East Coast to be honest!”

The burrata and focaccia was a delightful favourite.The Caesar salad was overdressed and the croutons were too hard for my preference. The pepperoni pasta was exactly that - not the worst but it was something I'd make drunk in my kitchen at 3 am. Fries were meh.A solid 4 on the food front. It didn't seem like a place that aims to put pizza on a pedestal rather a well put together representation of desired traits specific to the Philadelphia dining scene. The pizza leaned towards a bar pie, that was executed by someone who has a devout understanding of the dough and the other ingredients involved. The soft serve was well spun and tasty. Overall the hype is real and was a real joy to visit!”

“An exceptional dinning experience, but getting in is a bit tricky. The restaurant opens advanced online bookings in intervals of two week blocks, on the Sunday prior. There are two seatings each night, 6:30pm and 8:30pm. If you can’t get a reservation for the released block time, you can request to be added to the wait list. That’s exactly how I received my dinning spot. The experience is intimate, warm and friendly. It truly is like being invited to a friend’s house for dinner, except your friend won’t be serving you these yummy dishes. The food creations are amazing and the courses numerous. The chef announces each dish before it’s served, explaining the ingredients and inspiration. They also provide an extensive wine list and delicious craft cocktails. Highly recommend!”

“This is the second year in a row that my DAR group held our Women's History themed tea at Elwood. Stellar service, I tried things I never normally would like the scrapple (not a fan of it generally), it was a little piece of heaven! All the food is small bites for tea service. The chicken salad on a mini croissant ?. The biscuits, clotted cream, strawberry jam made by the owner's mother! Absolutely scrumptious!!!”

They were very accommodating for my gluten sensitivity, and when we called, they took their time to go over the entire menu identifying items they could make gf. The Florist and The Beekeeper were tasty cocktails. We had the meatballs and the smashed & fried potatoes for appetizers, the scallop risotto and chicken with gnocchi for our mains, and then the s’mores pot de crème. Get. Out. “I have only good things to say about this place. I thought at first it was a little odd to have steak tartar served with fries but the pairing was actually really good! Everything was amazing. I have never had such a complex gnocci dish and it's probably the best I've ever had. The scallops were perfect. Mussels, snails... all of it. Everything was just amazing; I cannot stress that enough. I can't wait to go back!”

“One of our favorite places to pop into. Love the little enclosed outdoor environment, the consistent and very enjoyable german food, and of course, the beer! It can get a little loud inside, but we've never had a bad time here. Will be back soon!”
