“My husband and I really miss Friendly's. We saw the sign and said let's get lunch. They nolonger have the parry melt, my favorite and my hubby love mozzarella sticks. “I have lived here for 5 years and finally made it to this place for Mother's Day. All I can say is: YOU ALL THROW DOWN! I was impressed by how well you treated my mom by giving her the Au Poivre with a medallions of perfectly cooked filet mignon. And the steak sauce was so silky and rich. She also really enjoyed the Margaritas and the service. My entree was a Cobb salad (watching my carbs) and it was absolutely perfect, with tons of blue cheese and bacon. My husband and I got married this year on 9/21/24 and decided to have our reception at Cappy’s. Here is my completely honest, detailed review of how everything went:

To say that we saved so much money having it at Cappy’s rather than using a traditional wedding venue, is an understatement, because I can say without a doubt we must’ve saved thousands of dollars on our reception. You truly get the best bang for your buck here at Cappy’s, with the drinks and price per plate being extremely fairly priced. We were allowed 4 entrees, 2 sides and a dessert option for our buffet style dinner which was amazing, as we had guests with different tastes in food, which made it even more curated to our wedding and guests overall. We were also allowed to bring our own cake and cupcakes to add to the dessert table.

Jennifer was our event coordinator, bartender, and wedding expert extraordinaire for our rehearsal and wedding night. She did the most incredible job of calming mine and my husband’s nerves and assured us that we were going to have the best night ever. She had answers to every question we had, kept us up to date and asked us questions months leading up to the wedding, and had plenty of tasteful ideas when it came to decorating the space. My husband and I, and our entire wedding party adored her and her amazing customer service skills. She even had decor to offer us from “Cappy’s Closet”, which helped us tremendously to fill in any missing spaces that we had in the reception decor. We were even ahead of schedule by a full 30 minutes and Jennifer made sure to keep in contact with me and the DJ throughout the whole night when the timeline got thrown for a loop, she adjusted everything perfectly and nobody even knew that we were off schedule.

Cappy’s was big enough to seat 67 guests (including my husband and I) WITH a sizable dance floor and a DJ. This was a huge must for us as 67 people really is not a small wedding, Jennifer once again worked her magic and made everything fit perfectly. It is a beautiful space that we were able to decorate how we wanted, which I loved getting to be able to do. We were allowed lots of flexibility and freedom having our rehearsal and reception here. If you’re worried about parking on Main Street as well, don’t be, my guests got parked and seated extremely quickly, even for a Saturday night wedding, there are plenty of spots and parking decks for your guests to park at.

Overall, if you’re looking for a review to convince you to have your reception at Cappy’s, let it be this one. I was extremely picky about how I wanted our wedding to go and how I wanted it to look. Cappy’s and Jennifer not only exceeded our expectations, but I cannot express how perfect the night was. I wish I could re-do my wedding night 1000x over because of how incredible it was. My guests cannot stop talking about how much of a good time they had. It was everything we wanted and more. From the food, to the value of what we paid, to the space itself, to the event coordinator, to the freedom of decorating the space how we wanted it, this place is a hidden gem in the Poconos for weddings. I will only be having my big events here from now on!“
