“Came here yesterday (Saturday) to celebrate a family birthday with dinner. The five of us had never been here before but some of them heard one of their steaks was very good. We parked in the lot in the back, walked around front and entered in the front door. You have to walk through the bar in the front to get to the dining room in the back (there is a side door too, although I'm not sure if that's open all the time). We had made a reservations and were given to large booth which was great. It felt like a corner bar to me (corner bars are a favorite of mine!). Nothing fancy but expect cold beers, good food and great service! Karaoke had just stared in the bar area when we sat down so you could clearly hear every word being sung but it didn't bother us-we we're still able to hold a conversation at our table. Our waitress was wonderful (I don't remember her name...might have been Cara)! She took very good care of us during our visit. The food was good! I had the tuna steak special. The other three adults got the princess cut steak (I forget the cut of steak but it's the one they are known for). Everyone loved it! It was a fun and successful birthday dinner!“

“Really cute little dinner with a simple breakfast & lunch menu. The food was good, and the bacon was the highlight of my meal. The real winner here was the service! Everyone was so friendly and kept coming around to check on us & offer coffee refills even as it started to get busy. Definitely recommend for a friendly diner experience.“

“Theo Yanni's has a very wide selection to choose from on the menu, ranging from steaks & fish, to Gyros and other Greek style dishes. I ended up ordering the Firecracker Fish Sandwich, which is perfectly spicy and generously sized. This was my 2nd trip to Theo Yanni's, and the service was adequate both times-- nothing super memorable or notable, but drinks were refilled on time and wait staff is fairly friendly. It was busy this recent time, so it did get a bit loud, but we were still able to talk and hear each other pretty well. All in all, it's a great choice and it's worth repeating visits to explore the menu.“

“Have been a customer for a very long time. The service has always been very good. The food as well as the environment are amazing. I have had the fish sandwich, off of the lent menu, three times already this Lenten season. It is really good, and comes out very hot. Everyone should give it a try!“

“Four of us was there Friday afternoon, 3:00pm. Wasn't that crowded at the time. We needed two separate checks, waitress told us she wasn't allowed to do that. Had two shrimp dinners, which was very good, but we both had onion rings for a side, which wasn't done, the onions were shimmy.Parking: Very little parking spots available, parked in the back lot.“

“Hidden gem with great food and staff. Husband and son always stop here when they are in the area. Young lady behind the bar quickly sat us down, gave us the option of sitting in bar area or dining area, and service was great. Don't pass it by!“

“One of the rare places I'll give stars more for the atmosphere than the food. Can't believe I've never been here before but what a cool, cozy retro mid century looking throwback of a restaurant in beautiful Avella. Service was the best. Prices great. Food was ok but I'll give another try for sure. Was in area because of the great antique store Poor Johnny's which is right down the road.“

“I am so happy that The Ole Hickory Inn is under new management and has a new cook / chef. Several weeks ago my son and I had the chicken piccata and the whole dinner was excellent. One day I stopped in and had the reuben sandwich and was very pleased. Last Friday we had their fish and shrimp dinner specials and we're very pleased again. I really hope that the word gets out that the kitchen is up and running again. The atmosphere was comfortable and the service was excellent.“

“What a great place! Truck friendly. It was moderately filled with regulars but has plenty of seating at the bar and booths. Wednesday is $0.25 wings, something I haven't seen in a decade and they were absolutely delicious!! Fast service, hot food, cold beer and friendly staff. I definitely hope I get to get back here again!“
