“Went the other night for the first time for dinner. Service was excellent and friendly, and did a good job answering questions. We got an appetizer of the beets that was delicious. The short rib risotto was out of this world - tender, flavorful and absolutely delicious. The goat however was a big miss. Came out as a round rolled piece that seemed unfortunately overcooked and tough. I was expecting a braised goat closer to a braised short rib. The couple next to us had the same two dishes and I noticed they didn't enjoy the goat either. The creme brulee desert was also spectacular. The atmosphere gets 3 because on a cold night, and with the restaurant being as small and cramped as it is, anytime someone comes or goes there's freezing cold wind that blows in. I wish more restaurants here did what they do in NYC with the plastic vestibules in front of the doors to prevent that.“

“Needed a bathroom, this place was open. I walked in and I got hungry from the delicious smell of fresh meats being cooked. I got something I've never tried before. It was deep fried burrito filled with steak and veggies and sour cream. It was damn delicious. Great find.... And yes, I got to use the bathroom while I waited for my food. Win win.

“I recommend that you double check your on line order before leaving the store. I ordered 2 bowls and the bag they gave me was 1 bowl and one burrito. Fortunately I checked before driving home and having to return. It took about 15 minutes for them to correct the order.“

I ordered molcajete mixto (not a regular menu item) and it was fantastic! My daughter got a lengua burrito and she said it was terrific. We also had agua fresca and finished off the meal with tres leches. Everything was top notch. Prices were reasonable and the portion size was just right for a big eater like me. We will be going back soon and bringing friends with us. Highly recommended. They also have a store attached that carried a lot of hard to find Mexican style meal ingredients and other goods. The shop/restaurant combo reminded me of Cracker Barrel. 🤓 The decor is festive!“

Salsa verde has avocado in it, not a guacamole but creamy and delicious. Salsa roja was spicy not too much, and had that spice flavor to it. We ordered tacos which were well served, with fresh onions and cilantro. Longaniza, suadero y lengua were a hit with my family. We also ordered the sopes and these are not your traditional sopes (small round) but the original from Michoacan flat, long, with beans and the meat of your choice. Topped with sour cream and salsa mmmmm can't describe the flavor. It takes me back to México!! FYI cash only! Solo efectivo!!“
