“Stopped after our grandson's soccer game (we're from Somerset.) Not fans of chain restaurants, we always look for local restaurants and pubs. We're happy to have found Churchill Haus. It was GREAT!“

“A big thank you to Kevin for providing the perfect venue for my husband’s surprise birthday party. Kevin is great to work with when planning an event. We were able to decorate and bring in outside caterers. Along with the selection of local beers on tap and fabulous wine, Kevin made a special barrel aged cocktail just for the occasion.“
“probably my favorite bar on earth....and I own a popular bar. every place needs a bar like this...“

“If you like hood bars this is the place to go. They have pool tables and food but I never ate there but I heard the food is BOMB! You also have to try those jello shots that Auntie makes which are very strong. My only GRIPE is that they use the state regulated pours so the bartenders really can't show you little love but at least they don't charge you an arm and a leg“

“Gotta be some of the best bar food in Pittsburgh. The pierogi in spicy garlic parmesan sauce are one of our favorite bites in the city and the hand cut fries are terrific, always with a nice crisp on them. A very good craft beer selection and great service as well. Order a trash can if you're feeling frisky 🦝“
“This is a nice venue with top quality music acts, very friendly employee's and very clean. There is a small parking lot and street parking. Very minimal noise level. They don't serve food but everyone goes to a place two doors down and brings it back. I highly recommend Moondogs!“

“A 60-something local rocker, when I asked him which bar in Pittsburgh best captures the spirit of the beautiful ’60s–’70s, said: “Squirrel Hill Cafe.” I think he was right. There’s no pretentiousness here. Food is just food, drinks are drinks, service is service, and quality is quality. Time seems to have stopped here — and that’s a beautiful thing.“
“Favorite traditional after work Pittsburgh neighborhood bar....add some of Pitt's best and brightest, a lot of fun.....Trivia nites on Wednesday are entertaining as the crowd is generally younger and the kids have a unique sense of humor....“

“Varied music genre’s and groups; other activities as well such as karioke, thoughtful owners, expanding food menues based on recommendations and concerned about the surrounding community regarding noise a debris created by some late night customers. Pizza coming to the menue this week!!“

“Dive dive dive. Perfect dive bar feel. Jukebox was old and lovely with great options. Bars in a pretty residential area. Smoking inside, beers in cans and seating in the front window. It’s very divey, beer and cig vibes. Pool table in the back, bartender was an older chill guy with a badass attitude.“

“This place ROCKS. I really can’t pinpoint what it is, but every single time I’ve walked through that door, I laughed till I cried, drank good and danced all night long. Julie behind the bar is a very important piece to this puzzle. Best bartender ever, hands down!“

“My wife's friend had a little party there and we had a nice time and the fried chicken was on point so I definitely want to thank the cook. The drinks were pretty good too but if there was one thing they could improve on it is making Margaritas which weren't too good but I will still give 5 stars ?“
“Slavs Club is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is super friendly – you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The staff are warm and attentive, and the vibe is relaxed but lively. The food is good – fresh, flavorful. Whether you’re dropping in for a quick bite or hanging out with friends for the evening, it’s a great spot. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a laid-back place with good food and great people“

“I recently reserved the confidant (the speakeasy connected to the Goldmark) for my proposal to my now fiancée. The entire process was incredible. Nicole and the staff are kind, responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to help make the night go just as planned. Nicole helped me plan every detail, including personalized drinks and coordination with a photographer. I would definitely recommend the Confidant if you are looking for great drinks, a cozy atmosphere, and amazing service. Our time there could not have been better!“

“To Randy Kovac, All I have to say is BS, to your review, and how could you see the bartender ignoring your call?? Lmao. If you was there and needed cigarettes, no matter what time or whoever was there, employees or customers. And needed cigarettes, you would have received cigarettes even if you didn't have any money. So why don't you say anything about you abusing dogs? Or what about someone saying something about you that's not true on the internet?? Wouldn't like that would you.. and the animal abuse is true. “Picture if you can going back in time to an era when there was major industry in the valley. Elrama Generating Station was running full bore as well as West Penn Power and the mines were open supplying coal to these giant power houses Well that era is gone!!! But not the people, they still come get drunk and swing down memory lane. A patron played a song on the juke box " Country Road" by John Denver. Everyone in the place sang along and smiled a simple song for simple people Beware of the bartender though she skims 5/30/2018 The sign is back on!!!! Come on in, enjoy a cold beer on a hot day“

“If yinz find yourself passing through Munhall,PA like we were you’ve simply gotta stop in at the local tavern on Main Street! We stumbled upon Main Street Tavern and are thankful we did. This joint has big screens to watch an assortment of sporting events, copious options in the beverage arena and an assortment tasty food crafted by their cook (make sure you check the schedule ~ you won’t be disappointed!). Yinz know the show Cheers, right?! It was evident that the owners of this local establishment know everyone who walks through their doors by name. The greetings we’d witness as folks arrived was cheerful and when it was time to leave they’d give a shoutout “see yinz next time!” We bellied up to the bar and ordered two draft beers … what kind you ask … Yuengling of course! Do you know the story of Yuengling; it’s one of the American Spirit. It’s a tale of shared dreams, individual tenacity & an unwavering dedication to standards of quality. Like many American stories it starts amid the dreams of countless young immigrants looking for opportunity and emerges from the strength & will of one family determined to build their legacy in a new country. The story of America’s Oldest Brewery began when David G. Yuengling arrived from Wuerttemberg Germany to settle in the sleepy, coal-mining town of Pottsville, Pennsylvania. As I digress, like a story being shared with new friends over a cold beer I’ll get back to our visit at Main Street Tavern. We ordered draft refills to accompany the wings & hand crafted pizza we ultimately chose; the menu is filled with taste bud tempting & oh so many yummy in my tummy choices. The crust of the pizza is sourced locally along with most of the food you’ll find on Main Street Tavern’s; it’s an impressive menu. The meatballs are homemade & sought after by many (that’s what I gathered by listening to banter across the bar). The rabbit food aka salads galore I doubt will leave you hungry by the portions I saw being served causing me to second guess my choice but not for long, those first nibbles into the perfectly cooked wings & crisped drumsticks drizzled in sauce had me wanting more. The wing sauce was scrumpdillyicious & fingers were licked while our pizza was easily devoured as we shared this feast while bantering with the locals, staff and owners as college football played on the screens. Folks were filtering in and out, some playing pool while others shared stories of their week. It’s was kind of neat spending time in a local neighborhood establishment, the vibe is unique and very much welcomed. We learned that Main Street Tavern is a staple in the community and gives back regularly hosting an array of charitable events like chili cook-offs, Santa was just there for pictures with the kids, karaoke & local entertainment. Ugh! Now we had a problem of the most basic kind. Being in town only for one night we couldn’t enjoy other items offered on Main Street Tavern’s savory menu and the company of friendly folks that shared our evening; perhaps our return trip east in the spring requires a delightful detour?! So in review … this gal encourages you to divert yourself off the highway, head on over to historic Munhall (a borough in Allegheny County, PA on the west bank of the Monongahela river). At Main Street Tavern we found ourselves warmly welcomed as we stepped inside, filled up on an assortment of vittles, beverages severed with a smile & locals who were happy to sit alongside us as we conversed about our travels across our country.“
