“Once again, another wonderful meal! I ordered the Brussels sprout salad which I had not tried before. Glad I did! Lovely mix of crunchy sprouts, cranberries, walnuts, apple& Gorgonzola with dressing that complimented all of the flavors. Also had the salmon appetizer which is reliably excellent. Main courses of doradd & short rib delicious. I loved the chocolate cake & the “taste” of crème brûlée & ice cream are a great way to try several desserts. Veronica was lovely & helpful. Can't say enough nice things about Blackfish.“

“Valley Green is a great place for a special dinner — or just a night out somewhere different. The atmosphere is lovely. If the weather's nice enough, sit outside on the porch. Did and service are very good, and there is something for almost every price range. To top it all off, they make it clear which dishes are (or can be made) for those who are gluten-sensitive. All around, a great place for dinner!“

“We had reserved a table for 16 for a 21st birthday dinner. They put us in a semi private room, although we were the only party. The service was great, food was hot and good. We went because of the gluten free menu and reviews and it didn't disappoint! Shout out to Brittany! Already booking another event for graduation.Dietary restrictions: Great selection of good gluten free food.“

“The food and service were great as always, but this was the first time we were in the back room. The noise level there was a little bit too much for us . We will be back as this is one of the most consistently good places on the mainline for us. We'll just request not to be in that back room.“

“Had dinner at Bar Sera for the first time in 2023-06-16 for a 7pm reservation. We got seated right away, not waiting at all. All our drinks and food came out on time and was absolutely delicious. We had the best server named Rachel. She had many tables but still was amazing, very attentive and would engage in conversation with us as. She made the dining experience so much better than any restaurant I’ve been to in a while. The food overall was amazing. I highly recommend this place. If you can, ask for Rachel, she won’t disappoint.“

“I recently worked as a photographer at this bar/restaurant space that was being used for a wedding. There is a small space in the back thats great for pictures and small parties. They also have a bar upstairs and ample parking across the street. The appetizers were delicious and creative. Its a nice venue to hold a small event or to have drinks/dinner.“

“Apparently a tavern that was in existence at the time of Valley Forge. Very nice dining room and bar area. I had Lafayettes Onion soup which was good. Also had the chicken pot pie. The crust and ingredients had good flavor but the broth in the pie was relentlessly bland. I kept adding salt and pepper but it never helped. It was so bland that biting into a chunk of potato gave a pop of flavor. My wife had the tomato basil soup and she thought it might be the best such soup she has had. The club sandwich was typical. It was a good experience and I'd recommend it, but not the pot pie.“

“My husband and I were visiting the area and found the Gypsy Saloon through Yelp. Thank you to all the reviewers who suggested this great find. I was a little concerned, based on a few reviews that mentioned they were rushed, but we had no issues at all. We were seated immediately (it was cold and rainy at about 6pm so I am guessing that was in our favor) and felt welcomed throughout the entire visit. Husband had the gnocchi, which he polished off and I had the halibut special which was just fantastic. It was so nice to find a place with great food and atmosphere and away from all the mall chain options. Looking forward to going back to the Gypsy Saloon when we return to the area. Highly recommend.“

“Looking for a place to grab a cold beer, burger, and/or sushi? We'll look no further the food and service at Guppy's are top notch w/ very reasonable prices. They even have their own sushi chef and specials weekly. Lori and get squad are the best!“

“This is a fantastic brunch spot. Although they don't take reservations, we only had to wait a few minutes for a table to be arranged and cleaned. I ordered the crab Benedict, which featured perfectly poached eggs. The bread, thicker than a traditional English muffin, complemented the dish well. It was served with standard potatoes. The highlight was the Butter Pecan pancake with caramelized banana—possibly the best pancake I've ever had, though crispy edges would have made it even better. I also ordered orange juice, which was good but less impressive due to the pulp. Overall, I highly recommend this place for brunch and am looking forward to returning.“

“This is a place we frequent for comfort food. We recently went there for a late breakfast. We had Breakfast in the AM and Sunday Morn. Our server was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is that of a sports bar with TVs all over. The breakfast was good.“

“Went to new location . It’s a lovely setting and the food was outstanding. Delicious tasting and unique presentations. The only downside is most of the portions seem to have gotten much smaller and costs up. But I guess that’s the case everywhere these days.“

“Stopped here for dinner tonight and enjoyed it! The hot roast beef was very tasty, and so was the rice pudding! My husband and I split an order of chili cheese fries, which were okay. The atmosphere was a little lacking- the place felt old and a little run-down, and everything was served on small plastic plates, which was a little cheesy. That being said, id still go back if I was really craving a roast beef sandwich!“

“whenever I am in Chestnut Hill I always say that I am going to try this restaurant. Well today I did and It did not disappoint OMG…. The restaurant is quaint and cute. The service was excellent and the food was very good. I ordered the broccoli quiche with turkey bacon on the side. That quiche is like none I have ever tasted, flaky crust and the filling reminded me of soufflé but much taster. I also brought 2 cups cakes carrot and coconut to go. I’m sure they are just as good. I can’t wait to go back because I hear there is a different quiche each week. This is my new breakfast place for sure.“

“Try Every Room! You'll Be Glad You Did! I've only had dinner in the booths that separate the Sycamore Room from the bar. For the lunch of a dozen oysters and a lobster roll (excellent!), we had to try the bar. For a dark wood ambience, it's pretty lively with the vintage musical instrument displays and album cover art. With different themes in each dining room, it's like four restaurants in one! As for the menu, I haven't gone wrong yet with anything I've chosen.“

“Great breakfast/diner-ish food--I'm partial to the creamed chipped beef. Mostly takeout (few tables), all Styrofoam + plastic--goes with their mostly takeout biz..Orders seem to flow smoothly, prices are better than fair and parking is plentiful.“

“Although I am born and raised in Delco, I have to admit I had never been here before. We had friends visiting from Vegas and took them here for brunch. From beginning to end the experience was a 10/10!! Great service, great food, relaxed atmosphere, great music and best coffee. We will be back again soon. Our waitress Jean was amazing!“

“My friend and I came across this lovely winery while out and about for New Year’s Eve (2024). We snagged a seat at the bar. Andrew was a great server, Very friendly and personable. I would like to come back for their cuisine, however they have an array of a wine list! I tried a few from dry to sweet and processed to ask questions, they’re extremely knowledgeable and proceeded to even look for an ice wine for me just by mentioning it. so far my favorite would be the house rosé. (and I don’t usually like the dryer side). Thank you for this experience, I am looking forward to many more and happy new year!“

“service was impeccable! everyone seemed to be on a conveyor belt with how smoothly things came out to us. went about 430-5 for dinner. a few people in the bar, not too crowded. our waitress was so nice! I order dry wings which were crispy but juicy. & I ordered the chicken joseph. i ordered it for my dad who's name was Joe & Stingers was one of his favorite restaurants... the dish was plated & executed perfectly - just wasn't to my taste, sauce/gravy for chicken was a little too sweet. my mother ordered the same dish & loved it! so it's just my taste. looking forward to going back & trying new items! 10/10 recommend!“

“I ate at Bar Avalon last night and both the food and service was extremely exceptional. We were attending an event and on a time crunch. Our server was attentive and was quick with recommendations. “The food was very good and the restaurant was very lively. It's much more of a family oriented restaurant than I realized. I would go back with kids but probably not just with adults. It was very loud so not ideal for quiet conversation. But if you're looking for a lively family friendly restaurant, this would be a great option!“

“A wonderful 5-star lunch experience ! Coming back from a mid-day center city concert, decided to stop in @ Tavern On the Hill rather than MacNally's...SO glad we did ! Bartender Mackenzie couldn't have been better : super-efficient AND super-personable ! I've had many excellent meals here before, lunch and dinners, today was no exception. Straying from our regular menu favorites ( tough to pass on the always great burger or turkey'n' brie sandwich),we both had the same "special"...a smoked kielbasa/ kraut sandwich. Not an item I'd usually rave over, it was just perfect...the best I've ever had. Great kielbasa, nicely toasted roll, homemade-tasting kraut...and even a high-quality tasty brown mustard. You just won't go wrong here... where else would somebody rave about a kielbasa sandwich ??? Can't wait to return for lunch OR dinner...“

“First time trying this place and I probably will go back. The food is very good and the wine and drinks menu is varied. The service needs help. From the hostess who seemed lost as to where to put us to the server who walked past our table multiple times without checking on us, it was very frustrating. Our drink order (wine and a cocktail) took 20 minutes and the server didn't bother to come back and take our food order in that time. The food came out quickly after we ordered, but at the end of the meal, the waiter dropped the check without asking if we wanted dessert. Everyone was friendly enough but ineffective.“

“Sabrina’s is always a hit for me. Depending on what time of you day you visit, it can get really busy. The service is always good, & the food is always delicious. Lately, I’ve been sticking with the chicken & waffles. The chicken is always seasoned, & the waffles are always nice and fluffy. The french toast is good, but I never seem to finish it.“

“We enjoy dining out at all of the White Dog locations. Haverford is much quieter than the Wayne location. The cocktails and food are awesome. Tried the new Swordfish special and it was delicious as was the Pork Shank. Service was fine but entrees did take some time to come out. Server was apologetic. But that is better than being rushed out as some other restaurants do. You never get a bad meal here.“

“Great Happy Hour! Amazing drink selection and apps. Great quality for the price. We go there a lot for HH then catch a movie at Ambler Theater across the street. Wish they would change the hours to 4:30-6:30 for their HH though. Movies are usually at 7 and hanging there for an hr before film starts is a bit of a wait.“

“When one of my closet girlfriends chose this place for dinner I was pleasantly surprised. I actually live in Lansdowne but had not seen this restaurant but I kept seeing things on social media. So boom you walk in and it is really nicely decorated. The vibe is very inviting. The music was a very nice jazz fusion. I loved it! Lets get into those appetizers!!! The oxtail pot stickers were very good but the Goat (yes capital G) were EVERYTHING! MY GAWD!!! I was not ready for them to be that delicious! So much so i didn't share with my friend. Lol we both had the lamb with a side of spinach! I cant even begin to describe the flavor the tenderness. Omg!!! They have a customer for life! I just need to know can i get the goat empanadas to go The only thing I would complain about is the waiter. He barely checked on us and forgot our drinks. But other than that AMAZING!“

“Whatever you do, if you go here for brunch you must get the biscuit board. The honey butter + the crispy/fluffy biscuits that do not fall apart like every other biscuit I've ever had was the most delightful appetizer I've had for breakfast. Espresso martini was average at best, would recommend just a regular coffee instead of a breakfast cocktail.“

“The Corner has been on my list of places to try for over a year, mainly so I could try the Huevos Rancheros, and I finally had the opportunity to try it recently with one of my daughters. It was a bustling yet comfortable little restaurant, split into two separate rooms. My daughter and I sat on the side with the grill, which had extra windows since it's on "The Corner" and some nice green plants that brightened things up a little more. The Huevos Rancheros didn't disappoint - I ordered mine with the coffee rubbed short rib. It really was good and it was cooked perfectly. The crispy potatoes were so good and actually crispy, unlike most other places that just have a little crisp to them. I adore home fries, and they can be hard to cook just right, so I really enjoyed these. The service was great and the waitress was so friendly. Oh, and there was an earthquake while we were there - and my daughter was the only one who even felt it LOL Overall, it was a yummy and fun visit. I'm glad I finally got to try it out, and I will definitely go again sometime.“

“People make the difference, no matter the business. Kelly, the General Manager is a pure example of that looks like, as well as her team. Customer service is top notch here. The food matches it. “Miscommunication on the phone with the order which is perfectly fine because we are human beings. My issue was with the guy on the phones, very curt. I’ll still give a a perfect review because the pizza really is top notch and I honestly appreciated how the staff handled the situation (except the one guy). Mistakes happen but being rude is a choice. Overall I suggest everyone to keep ordering from this place because they are consistent with their product and the guys cooking seem to take pride in what they do. Owner was pretty cool as well, seems to get hospitality which is appreciated. Great location as well. You can park while you wait which is nice. Place is very clean as well. If you’re in Delco area lansdowne, Drexel hill, upper Darby, etc… great spot to order.“

“We enjoyed a fabulous dinner last night… still thinking about each item we ordered and excited to be back to taste everything on the menu. The octopus was so tender and one of the best I have experienced. My entree, short rib, was wonderful and all agreed. Our table also had the branzino and the pasta special, each were outstanding. How have we missed this gem? We will be back!!“

“This is the cutest BYOB with large portions. The food is delicious! I have been here twice in the last month. First was a brunch with family. They have a covered patio that makes it perfect for a little party. 16-18 people at most! I had the shrimp and grits. Great flavor. The grits could've been cooked a little longer but a lot of people enjoy the gritty grit of it best. The pancakes were divine! With just a drop of syrup you have perfection. When I came back for dinner, I got the coconut shrimp. Butterflied with an orange marmalade you can't get any better. Crispy, crunchy and light. I think it is the higher quality meat that made the cheesesteak egg rolls better than I've had in the past. A thicker roll dough with seasoned ketchup! Delectable and the provolone cheese hit the spot. The Milan salad was perfect. Initially I didn't think thousand island would be good on it so I asked for it on the side. It DOES work! I'm always too full to try dessert but it is a must next visit.“
