“We had our rehearsal dinner here with ~40 guests and I can't imagine there is a location around Philadelphia that could be a better fit.We went for the family style service in a private room. All of the food was delicious (especially the Brussels sprouts) with generous portions (we took home 8 to-go boxes).“

“First time eating Brunch in this restaurant yesterday. Not too busy. Assigned a table for two. Floor directly under my seat was wet from spilled coffee so I asked a server to wipe it which she did half heartedly and not thoroughly. Took longer for her to attend to us despite the not so busy time. Luckily another very pleasant server was kind enough to step in and promptly served us with a beautiful smile and attitude.Food was great! Original server didn’t bother to check back in with us if we needed anything else like, um, water?Came time to pay bill in front and the amount was just about right. Paid the 20 percent tip somewhat reluctantly (I think that was the minimum if I recall) and was told by the somewhat frosty and disengaged front person that the card came through only for the tip(??). Had to swipe card for second time making sure to ask lady I don’t have to tip again. Made me feel it was my fault, no apologies or anything.I would give this place 5 stars except for the front desk reception(not as welcoming as other places) and our first inattentive server. The other server who helped out was great. Food more than made up for this so, 4 stars. I would eat here again but maybe try a different location.“

“Awesome spot in Ambler. The cheesesteaks were huge and they were delicious. We got the buffalo springfield, austin city limits, and jawn popper cheesesteaks and they were all amazing. We also got mango habenero, sweet thai chili and hot honey garlic wings which were all awesome as well. Great spot, cool people running it. We will be back!“

“Once again, another wonderful meal! I ordered the Brussels sprout salad which I had not tried before. Glad I did! Lovely mix of crunchy sprouts, cranberries, walnuts, apple& Gorgonzola with dressing that complimented all of the flavors. Also had the salmon appetizer which is reliably excellent. Main courses of doradd & short rib delicious. I loved the chocolate cake & the “taste” of crème brûlée & ice cream are a great way to try several desserts. Veronica was lovely & helpful. “Visited for lunch on a sunny Sunday. Solid wine and beer list and fantastic food! The only downside was that there is limited seating and we were near the windows. The sun was streaming in and there was no window shade. Not only were we warm, we ate the whole meal with the sun in our eyes! “I recently worked as a photographer at this bar/restaurant space that was being used for a wedding. There is a small space in the back thats great for pictures and small parties. They also have a bar upstairs and ample parking across the street. The appetizers were delicious and creative. Its a nice venue to hold a small event or to have drinks/dinner.“

The sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crunch. I also liked that there were sweet potato skins that were so crispy and crunchy. “About a month ago I was at an outdoor event by WHS boys lacrosse. The place was full of adults and teens and very hectic. All the food and drinks that we ordered were handled quickly and perfectly. The assigned staff of Jessenia, Skyler, and Megan took care of us and all patrons with ease and professionalism, never showing a sign of stress. You are in good hands when they are on the clock. The highlight was the Butter Pecan pancake with caramelized banana—possibly the best pancake I've ever had, though crispy edges would have made it even better. “My husband and I were visiting the area and found the Gypsy Saloon through Yelp. Thank you to all the reviewers who suggested this great find. I was a little concerned, based on a few reviews that mentioned they were rushed, but we had no issues at all. We were seated immediately (it was cold and rainy at about 6pm so I am guessing that was in our favor) and felt welcomed throughout the entire visit. Husband had the gnocchi, which he polished off and I had the halibut special which was just fantastic. It was so nice to find a place with great food and atmosphere and away from all the mall chain options. Looking forward to going back to the Gypsy Saloon when we return to the area. The beef was high quality and free of gristle..but a POUND? Maybe 8oz. MAX before cooking. I've eaten several pound steaks, and this ain't one. Fries were very high quality frozen, served piping hot in a cute mini fry-basket. Wife's wings were crispy and didn't get soggy in the plentiful hot sauce. Drinks are very reasonable and staff attentive and friendly. I guess the "Jawn" is a kind of novelty, and the price may reflect the beef grade as opposed to weight. Adorable atmosphere. I'll return, but try the Italian dishes where I suspect they excel.“

We had the best server named Rachel. She had many tables but still was amazing, very attentive and would engage in conversation with us as. She made the dining experience so much better than any restaurant I’ve been to in a while. The food overall was amazing. I highly recommend this place. “Apparently a tavern that was in existence at the time of Valley Forge. Very nice dining room and bar area. I had Lafayettes Onion soup which was good. Also had the chicken pot pie. The crust and ingredients had good flavor but the broth in the pie was relentlessly bland. I kept adding salt and pepper but it never helped. It was so bland that biting into a chunk of potato gave a pop of flavor. My wife had the tomato basil soup and she thought it might be the best such soup she has had. The club sandwich was typical. It was a good experience and I'd recommend it, but not the pot pie.“

Great service, amazing food, and the atmosphere was exactly what I wanted.As you walk in, it can be a little disorienting with so much going on but as you begin to take it in you see how important the local hero’s are. These guys care about the men and women who serve our country. The staff greeted me warmly and when they discovered it was my first time they spent time walking me through the whole menu and explaining the style of food. A gentleman gave me a coupon for a free sandwich as a gift for my first time.I ordered the pulled pork with a side of Mac and cheese. Amazing. Man did it hit! They have lemonade and sweet tea, but I mixed it half and half and my gosh. The food was literally some of the best I had. I used the mission belle and smokehouse sauce. They offer 6 hot sauces on the table. Lisa was cleaning and serving the table, she helped me so much, was very attentive, and cleaned up the table for us. There were quite a few things on this menu that looked good so don’t be surprised to see a follow up on this at some point, but had to talk about this sandwich and experience specifically.So we went on a Friday night around 7pm (had just landed in Philly at the airport) and the place was packed! We were lucky and a couple was leaving shortly after we told the hostess about our party so we sat fairly quickly. Cool vibe in the place, tin mugs hanging from the ceiling and sports on all the tv’s. Like I said though, crazy packed so it was loud and a bit chaotic.The Schmitter is a pretty odd sandwich honestly given what’s on it. Basically a cheesesteak with onions, tomato’s, salami, and their sauce that is similar to a Big Mac sauce. I’d never have thought to add salami to a cheesesteak, but here we are. The flavor was quite good, it was on a round Kaiser (you can order long roll if you want) which reminded me of donkeys place a bit, and the tomato added a nice freshness as well. The price is what you’d expect, maybe a tad bit more, for the sandwich and it comes with basic ridged chips.My girlfriend also got a chicken cheesesteak that was good but looked awful. They use a broiler/salamander to melt the cheese and it came out looking burnt, but it tasted fine.All in all I enjoyed it and will come back again and get another or sample other items. The adult menus were large and had a lot of things to choose from and the plates, utensils, cups, and bowls were clean and sanitary. The waiters were very nice, respectful, and patient when we ordered our drinks, entres, food, etc. They have a good variety of drinks. After we ordered our drinks it didn't take long before they quickly brought us our drinks, even though the restaurant was kind of busy. If we ran out of water they would refill it even if we didn't ask. I ordered chicken tenders and fries and the rest of my party ordered their food, I looked around and I could see that many children/teens were eating with their family. It was kind of loud where we were sitting but, again the restaurant was already pretty busy. And there were many people around the bar and seated around us. The food arrived not long later, our food was fresh and hot as we could tell. The food was also presented well and organized well. I've ordered chicken tender and fries lots of times in the past at other locations but the ones here are one of the best. The food was good and everyone in my party enjoyed it.“
