“I placed a takeout order at the Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh) location on 3/29, around 5pm. I live in SE Virginia and my son’s father lives in Aspinwall, we were meeting 1/2 way in Maryland for spring break so I asked him if he’d pick up and take out order for me at the FC restaurant, and bring it with him and our son. (Nothing in my area compares to Aladdin’s!!). When I called, an amazing woman answered the phone, I asked ONLY if they could put the sauce on the side for my Shawarma so it wasn’t soggy 8 hours later when I’d be home to eat! Without second thought, she offered to make both of the Shawarma’s “deconstructed” with everything separate so I could “build” the wraps myself!! I also ordered the Dawali! When my ex handed me the bag and went to the cooler to get my food, I noticed what the crew had done…. They put everything in separate takeout containers and even wrote instructions on the Dawali container for me to heat, when I got home!! Everything was separate and the amount of extra time that was spent on the order was above and beyond!! It may seem simple, but for them to take the time and effort to make sure my food was just as good as it would have been if I ate in the store was really refreshing!! So THANK YOU to the Fox Chapel location for packing my order with such attention and my ex will be bringing a cooler with Shawarma’s and Diwali’s each time we meet in Maryland!!!“

“Adesso is a staple. I am from Canada and whenever I visit, I always take morning walks to see Frank and grab a coffee.

He is always kind, warm and welcoming and knows all his customers. Small cozy family ran cafe with outdoor seating. Coffee is great and it radiates good vibes. Can’t recommend enough!!

“This was our second time here but the first of this location second time in probably 10 plus years. The first time was in McCandless and when I asked to have my steak sandwich hot they wouldn't do it so I walked out. I noticed recently that they started making their sandwiches hot so I went in to try the steak sandwich again cheesesteak of course having to have my sandwich how I want it I asked that they would Grill the inside of the bread which I did at the previous location. The first response was we can't do that and I laughed. I said you have a grill I simply want you to toast the inside of my bun because I like it more like a toast as opposed to Raw bread that gets soggy. She went back she asked a supervisor and they said yes. I don't understand why it's such a difficult proposition. In any way shape or form we got it and it tasted really good. We also got the old fashioned and it was really good as well for my wife. We'll probably be back again at some point try something else“

The food was yummy, our server was excellent, and we got our catering squared away! They chose Olive Garden since there is a great variety for vegetarians and carnivores. Her side is all vegetarians, while ours is primarily carnivores. The pasta stations worked great for this! Plus, the lasagna is an add on vegetarian option. Plenty of salad and breadsticks and the menu was set perfectly!
The day of the wedding the food arrived on time, was set-up for us, and was hot and delicious! They were outstanding!

“Finally getting to writing reviews for the best few vendors from my August 2019 wedding. I am a little hesitant to post this since their Facebook page seems to have gone silent and reviews on other platforms indicate that management and menus may have changed in the last 6 months. But I was so pleased with my experience that it only seems fair to give credit where credit is due…. If you are looking for a rehearsal dinner location in Cranberry and have 30 guests or less, I highly recommend the private room at Ember and Vine in the lobby of the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Cranberry. We researched every restaurant in the area and Ember and Vine at DoubleTree delivered a perfect solution. Their facilities are beautiful and modern, and the staff was so nice and accommodating. Although they can do traditional seated banquet-style meals, we wanted something distinctly different from our wedding dinner the following day. We chose to order off their regular restaurant menu and have them cordon off a portion of the lobby area next to the private room, where a buffet was placed with different flavors of wings, woodfired pizzas, salad, and their oh-so-yummy crispy brussels sprouts. Not only were they flexible with the setup and menu (accommodating multiple food allergies), they also provided the option to have a limited bar within the private room or have our guests use the full bar in the lobby. Having the private room but also the cordoned off lobby area gave us extra area to mingle and a great balance between private space and the fun energy and ambiance from the restaurant and bar. Our guests loved the food and had loads of fun! Other factors that made Ember and Vine a clear winner for us were: - They had a very low minimum spend. Other locations with private dining had a ridiculous minimum spend that would be difficult to meet with a 20-30 person guest list. - The large parking lot. We looked at other options closer to our venue and parking was limited. - Flexibility with timing. We gave them a general time frame for arrival, but not knowing how long the rehearsal would take, they told us just to call them when we were 20 minutes out. Thanks DoubleTree and Ember and Vine for a classy venue and excellent food that let my husband and me and our closest friends and family relax and have a great time before our big day!!“

“we have been a family of customers for about 30 years to all locations .when we come to Pittsburgh for anything we make sure we stop we LOVED their food .well unfortunately they are under new owners/management and we were unaware .we got our over $40 order home and the disappointment started ! the "super" steak was anything but super we know what it taste like normally and realized they replaced the steak with some type of soy burger and the dough was flat burnt and crispy like breakable crispy .it was so gross we could not even eat it .I called and spoke to management and he said yea they switched their steak and basically said others loved it and he doesn't know why I wouldn't. “My family and I stop by often for a healthy salad bar. It’s always fresh and delicious. Today we met a nice young lady, Kate, who was bussing tables. She went out of her way to get my husband his favorite dressing when it wasn’t on the salad bar. She was super friendly and made our stop there extra special today.
