“I placed a takeout order at the Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh) location on 3/29, around 5pm. I live in SE Virginia and my son’s father lives in Aspinwall, we were meeting 1/2 way in Maryland for spring break so I asked him if he’d pick up and take out order for me at the FC restaurant, and bring it with him and our son. (Nothing in my area compares to Aladdin’s!!). When I called, an amazing woman answered the phone, I asked ONLY if they could put the sauce on the side for my Shawarma so it wasn’t soggy 8 hours later when I’d be home to eat! Without second thought, she offered to make both of the Shawarma’s “deconstructed” with everything separate so I could “build” the wraps myself!! I also ordered the Dawali! When my ex handed me the bag and went to the cooler to get my food, I noticed what the crew had done…. They put everything in separate takeout containers and even wrote instructions on the Dawali container for me to heat, when I got home!! Everything was separate and the amount of extra time that was spent on the order was above and beyond!! It may seem simple, but for them to take the time and effort to make sure my food was just as good as it would have been if I ate in the store was really refreshing!! So THANK YOU to the Fox Chapel location for packing my order with such attention and my ex will be bringing a cooler with Shawarma’s and Diwali’s each time we meet in Maryland!!!“

“We were passing through the area on a road trip from Toronto to Florida, followed by a Caribbean cruise, and stopped for one night at a nearby hotel. We decided to have dinner at Olive Garden, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience!

We were dining as a family, including one member with a gluten allergy and another who is vegetarian. The staff were incredibly accommodating — the General Manager even came out personally to discuss gluten-free preparation and ensure everything would be handled safely. That level of care really stood out.

The food was fresh, hot, and delicious, and every team member we interacted with was friendly and pleasant. It was a comfortable, stress-free meal, which was exactly what we needed after a long day of travel.

“I thought it was a very nice experience, with all of their ingredients being made at their local distribution center or in-house, including baked goods... no one may argue whether they're baked goods or is good as another bakery in along those lines, but my argument is that they have total vertical integration and therefore control over improvements.

In the end though my two cents are that this Lebanese restaurant would fit right in in silicon valley ethnic restaurants as being somewhere you can go to get the real deal, and not some Americanized version of their food.

“We are here every Saturday since the kids’ art class is nearby. Spend 2-3 hours dining in and having hotpot most of the time. My husband likes the Sichuan hot pot the most and I like the sour and spicy golden soup base. It’s a family owned restaurant. Fresh ingredients. I recommend it to my friends who are craving for transitional Chinese hotpot. Pittsburgh doesn’t have much options. This is a very good one.“

“my boyfriend and i tried pelegrino’s after we got sent a menu from them in the mail. we each got a pizza, and the cost was INCREDIBLY lower than the other pizza places we’ve ordered from. they deliver as well, which is nice. what i also appreciate about pelegrino’s is the option for online ordering, which allows me to pay & tip so i don’t have to fumble whenever the delivery comes. it takes some time, but it’s always worth the wait; we’ve never been disappointed!! this is our go to pizza spot!!“

“Adesso is a staple. I am from Canada and whenever I visit, I always take morning walks to see Frank and grab a coffee.

He is always kind, warm and welcoming and knows all his customers. Small cozy family ran cafe with outdoor seating. Coffee is great and it radiates good vibes. Can’t recommend enough!!

The food was yummy, our server was excellent, and we got our catering squared away! They chose Olive Garden since there is a great variety for vegetarians and carnivores. Her side is all vegetarians, while ours is primarily carnivores. The pasta stations worked great for this! Plus, the lasagna is an add on vegetarian option. Plenty of salad and breadsticks and the menu was set perfectly!
The day of the wedding the food arrived on time, was set-up for us, and was hot and delicious! They were outstanding!

“we have been a family of customers for about 30 years to all locations .when we come to Pittsburgh for anything we make sure we stop we LOVED their food .well unfortunately they are under new owners/management and we were unaware .we got our over $40 order home and the disappointment started ! the "super" steak was anything but super we know what it taste like normally and realized they replaced the steak with some type of soy burger and the dough was flat burnt and crispy like breakable crispy .it was so gross we could not even eat it .I called and spoke to management and he said yea they switched their steak and basically said others loved it and he doesn't know why I wouldn't. “Finally getting to writing reviews for the best few vendors from my August 2019 wedding. I am a little hesitant to post this since their Facebook page seems to have gone silent and reviews on other platforms indicate that management and menus may have changed in the last 6 months. But I was so pleased with my experience that it only seems fair to give credit where credit is due…. If you are looking for a rehearsal dinner location in Cranberry and have 30 guests or less, I highly recommend the private room at Ember and Vine in the lobby of the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Cranberry. We researched every restaurant in the area and Ember and Vine at DoubleTree delivered a perfect solution. Their facilities are beautiful and modern, and the staff was so nice and accommodating. Although they can do traditional seated banquet-style meals, we wanted something distinctly different from our wedding dinner the following day. We chose to order off their regular restaurant menu and have them cordon off a portion of the lobby area next to the private room, where a buffet was placed with different flavors of wings, woodfired pizzas, salad, and their oh-so-yummy crispy brussels sprouts. Not only were they flexible with the setup and menu (accommodating multiple food allergies), they also provided the option to have a limited bar within the private room or have our guests use the full bar in the lobby. Having the private room but also the cordoned off lobby area gave us extra area to mingle and a great balance between private space and the fun energy and ambiance from the restaurant and bar. Our guests loved the food and had loads of fun! Other factors that made Ember and Vine a clear winner for us were: - They had a very low minimum spend. Other locations with private dining had a ridiculous minimum spend that would be difficult to meet with a 20-30 person guest list. - The large parking lot. We looked at other options closer to our venue and parking was limited. - Flexibility with timing. We gave them a general time frame for arrival, but not knowing how long the rehearsal would take, they told us just to call them when we were 20 minutes out. Thanks DoubleTree and Ember and Vine for a classy venue and excellent food that let my husband and me and our closest friends and family relax and have a great time before our big day!!“

It really needs to be redone and thought out in an orderly fashion to make it more clear and easier to order. I told our friends we had gone there for breakfast and her husband said “you have to be a detective to read that menu”. It was all over the place. That is my only recommendation. I ordered the 10 inch with intentions of only eating half, but gorgeous down the entire thing in one sitting.
