“A lowkey spot but great food and very clean. We so happened to stumble upon it and we were genuinely pleased from the 1st bite. We over heard someone picking up take out say that it was the best sushi he’s had and it was true. The price was great too. One plate of fried rice was enough to satisfy 2 people and then had about 18 pieces of sushi in total. Once finished, it didn’t make you feel sluggish and gross after eating. Great to see an owner who truly cares about their craft and customers. We’ll be back!“

“I’m a sushi snob all the way from nyc and I must say this place is DELICIOUS. So many rolls, I had a hard time choosing and I wasn’t disappointed with anything! I even tried some new rolls I never had before and it totally hit the spot…So flavorful, fresh and did I mention it’s delicious??? I can’t wait to go back here next week, you’ve earned yourself a new customer who’s too tired to cook but always craving bomb sushi 💣“

“I’ve been frequenting this place since early 2000’s and their consistency and simple elegance of their sushi is simply phenomenal. Even Hawaii doesn’t offer such delicious sushi without making you pay 100’s of dollars for even the mediocre. Cho Cho San is incredible, can’t give it anything less than a 10/10“

“I’ve been coming here for a couple of years, and the owners have always been incredibly friendly. Prices were also very competitive—especially the party trays, which is why I’m still leaving this as a 5-star review.
That said, my most recent visit was a bit concerning. There have been a lot of changes lately, particularly to the menu and pricing. The menu has been streamlined and modernized, but prices have gone up significantly across the board. Party trays in particular jumped by about $15 on average, with some increasing closer to $20. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any noticeable increase in portion size to go along with the higher prices.
This is a bit disappointing, because competitive pricing was what really set them apart from other sushi spots. The quality has always been slightly above average, but the value was a big part of the appeal.
I’ll still be coming back, but with these price increases, other places’ party trays have definitely become more tempting.“

“Hayabei Sushi Restaurant is hands down one of the best sushi spots in the area. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and relaxed. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel appreciated as a guest.
The sushi is incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Every roll we ordered was packed with flavor and perfectly balanced — you can really taste the quality of the fish. The specialty rolls are creative without being overcomplicated, and the classic rolls are executed perfectly. Even the appetizers and soups were excellent.
Portion sizes are generous for the price, and everything came out quickly without feeling rushed. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, the quality stays consistent.
If you’re looking for fresh sushi, great service, and a comfortable dining experience, Hayabei is a must-visit. Definitely a go-to spot that we’ll keep coming back to!“

“Had lunch there yesterday. The pork gyoza were delicious and so were the three rolls we ordered. The AAA roll is one of my Ooka favorites. Food arrives quickly and the wait staff are so friendly and polite.“
“This is takeout only inside of the Weis grocery store. The selection is abundant and the freshness is always great. They are prepared daily and the quality is good. They have sushi, rolls, salads, sashimi, wontons and a few Japanese desserts. Prices are not bad either. Keep in mind this is not a high end restaurant where they prepare it as you eat but I have never had a bad experience with their products. As you enter the cooler is to the right near the deli.

“Excellent service and everything we ate was delicious. My husband and I were amazed to find such high caliber Japanese food tucked away and nearby. It’s on the level with the trendiest sushi places and izakaya spots in LA, Vegas, Manhattan and San Francisco and we are so glad that it’s right here. Also the warm and welcoming owner/chef and friendly wait staff make this our go to sushi spot. The few Korean dishes on the menu are also amazing.“

“My family and I had an incredible dining experience tonight at Umai. We had a special, Kinmedai aka Golden Eye Snapper that was so fresh and tasty, out of this world good! We also had a treat with broiled tuna cheek that was also outstanding. Otoro was so velvety and rich, spicy hotate, sweet ebi, unagi, fried crabs, incredible sushi rolls, savory Akadashi (my son ordered a second it was so good) and everything else we ordered tonight was just incredible. Thanks so much to Rae and his wonderful staff for one of the best meals I've ever had - the best sushi in this area for sure and such friendly excellent service to accompany it! 🙂 Thanks for such wonderful hospitality and all the extra goodies Rae. It was wonderful to meet you and sample the fruits of your masterful culinary skills!“
