“We just had dinner and drinks here this past weekend for my birthday, Marie was our waitress and she was hands down the absolute best waitress I have ever had. She was hilarious and so personable, she really made the whole night a memorable one for us. It’s not often you go out and find people like her anymore, we sure hope she sees this review! 💕“

“while i LOVE this place. I will tell you we had some of the worst service I have ever had in my life. we come here often and today we had a reservation at 3:15 and our server was awful. we sat for 20 mins before even being greeted and only after complaining. he never apologized and still never gave us his full attention. he waited a table immediately when they sat down and we had been her for 15 mins at that time and he had never waited on us at that point.“

“By far well worth the price which wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I’m not sure what the waitress name was but man was she awesome. She was so attentive and super kind. “Stopped here for trivia night, trivia host did a great job. Food came out very quickly, only got the hula fries (bacon cheese fries) portion size was huge, and they tasted very good. Bartender took time to talk to every customer, and spent time with everyone.“

“We unintentionally took advantage of their 9-11 pm happy hour on a Friday night, and enjoyed a 20 oz beer for just $2.50 and a mule for $4.80! All alcohol.is half-price!
The giant signature sandwiches were great, too. They would have been even better if the bread wasn't cold.
Update: on our next visit, we asked for the bread to be toasted!“

Another table close by also complained of wait time. we were given the excuse that a large party came in ( not true) and large number of take outs (?). “While in Pittsburgh for a conference, I came across this place with the groups of ladies I was with. The food was AMAZING!!! I have been dreaming of the roasted carrot taco ever since! My husband asked to plan a trip to Pittsburgh next year for the NFL draft- I only agreed because he promised me we could eat at this restaurant! Looking forward to that a year from now!!!“

“What a fun little spot to stop in for a drink before & after an event. We dropped by for the 1st time b4 the Pens game (& after if course). The owner Jimmy was so gracious, so friendly to talk with. The crowd wasn't too bad (we even started taking to a few other PENs fans, that was nice) , the food was really good. So if you're looking for a good place to hang out, grab a bite & a drink be sure to stop at Shale's. I know I'll definitely be back.“

“We dined here Friday evening for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and the service was superb and prompt! My husband always orders cheesesteaks everywhere we go and thought the one he ordered at Mulligans was one of the best! My kids loved their wings and my shrimo and fry basket was tasty! We'll definitely return!“
