“This little ice cream shop has been here since I can remember and has amazing ice cream. Even on a cold and rainy day, they have steady traffic, and there's a reason for that. The black raspberry ice cream and mint chocolate chip ice cream are personal favorites. If you're ever in the area, I recommend stopping in.”

“I had lunch at Barnhart's for the first time. I have lived in the area for 32 years and never heard of this place. We had fish and french fries. It was some of the best fish I have ever had! The fries were fantastic too. The food was very hot. You place your order at a counter and they bring your food to you. They have iced lemon water for free. Serve yourself! I am told this place is known for its ice cream, but I didn't have any. If you're looking for a great place to have lunch or dinner, this is it! Prices are fair. It is a little bit of a step back in time as far as decor goes, but, who cares when the food is fantastic?”

“Never had a bad dish. The refried beans are great but I bet they're the good the first time they're cooked too. I don't understand why they cooked the beans so early in the day that by the time I got there, they needed to be refried. Maybe they should wait and cook the beans around 11am, then the people at lunch could just have beans and the people at dinner would only need them refried. Just a thought, I don't know.The Chipotle chickens pretty good too.”

“Stopped by for lunch and greeted right away. The nice person who welcomed us and took us straight to the table and pulled out my chair. It's very rare these days.Order steak hibachi with fried rice. The sushi was fresh and delicious.The Yamato roll is salmon with avacodo and cream cheese, and it was crispy and delicious.The spicy girl roll was spicy tuna, topped with spicy salmon. Very fresh.The asparagus roll was a nice refresher between the two spicy rolls.Our server was polite and wished I would have caught her name. Ensured we never had an empty cup and checked on us frequently. The restaurant was busy when we were there. Great service.”

“I visited this dinner the other day and want to express my concerns about the service. I am local resident in the area and have dined here multiple times over the years with the family. The food was excellent as always. This review is about treating a repeat customer like they are worthless and not providing customer service satisfaction. As I went to pay the bill, I seen a sign advising of a 4% surcharge. I have been in the merchant service industry for 9+ years and have a solid working relationship with multiple big players acquiring banks and can write contracts with any U.S. merchant. I keep up to date with laws, policies in the industry and trends. I have serviced merchant accounts all over the U.S. since 2015. A year or so ago, one of the card brands made the announcement that the maximum surcharge you can charge is 3%. I tried to explain this to the cashier, but she didn’t care…. She then pulled the manager to the side and told her what I had said. The manager didn’t come over to counter to have a conversation. She talked from 6 or 8 feet away. I wanted to advise who I was and my background in the industry. I want to help them to make sure they were compliant with the card associations. The manager wouldn’t discuss the details and walks away. Advising that’s how they do it and that is how their processing company does it. I didn’t have enough cash on me and just used my credit card with the 4% surcharge fee. The cashier signs my name for me on the terminal. I said “No” redo the transaction and allow me to sign. She gives me the receipt and it didn’t have any line about surcharge with then grand total. When surcharging is being done, its very clear that the surcharge amount is printed on the receipt. I tried to explain this and nobody would listen or have a conversation. I decided to just leave and file a VISA/MasterCard complaint. As I am saying goodbye to family on the sidewalk/parking lot, the manager comes out and yells about how I talked to her cashier. If the cashier had listened and took my card or info and passed it on to the owner or when the manager got involved, she had a conversation and took my information to pass on to the owner this could have been resolved. Nobody wanted to discuss and remedy a problem at the register, but it’s fine to follow me out to the parking lot and confront me and my family outside. Yes Folks…That is what I said !!!… The manager comes out of the building and tries to start a fight/argument when we are in the parking lot going to our cars. I am very disappointed with the level of customer service and professionalism with the manager that evening.”

“Went on Taco Tuesday. So the place was packed but there were seats at the bar. Atmosphere was awesome. And the digital jukebox helped a lot. Love the bartenders the two times i went because the mix drinks were made perfect and foods was finger licking good. Almost bit my finger.”

“Great beer selection. Limited but good food selections, flatbreads, hot/cold variety of sandwiches, salads and some apps. Restrooms were clean and consist of a men’s room with one urinal and one stall, no changing pad and a women’s room that has two stalls, complementary women’s necessities, and a changing pad. No one ever adds info on restrooms so I’ve decided to start.”

“We have a fundraiser card with buy one get one free coupons for Tropical Cafe so we went there for a take out supper. What a great group of people on the evening shift! We weren't sure how big the flatbreads would be so we ordered salads also. Both of the chicken pesto flatbreads and Thai chicken salads were fantastic. The gentleman who took our order was very helpful and patiently explained all the menu options and what we were able to purchase with our coupons. We didn't try a smoothie so we'll have to go back for that.”

“I made reservations and got sat immediately when we arrived. It's great to not have to wait to be sat at a table. The server Heather was absolutely fantastic in presenting opitions for gluten free items and went out of her way to bring an accommodating side so that an appetizer could be enjoyed by everyone. Food came to us in a good and timely manner. The quality of the food was absolutely top notch! I will definitely return in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant to those looking for a great dinning experience.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, cauliflower pizza was fantastic!”

Maybe stop by and shoot a game of pool or through some darts The Jukebox has a great selection, and check out the 80 inch flat screen,for sporting events. A great crowd and staff. If your lucky you may run into the owner whose always glad to see you.”

“If I were just rating their cold subs, they would get 5 stars, because in my opinion, you can't get a better one in Butler. As far as their hot subs, there are local places that have better ones. Their roast beef seems to be superior to anyone else's and their club supreme is da bomb! For me, they are all best "Mike's way" (oil, vinegar & spices) w/mayo added. Often the help engages in small talk with the customers. It's not always just 'what would you like', sometimes you get a 'how's your day going' or a 'how's the weather'? LOL”

“When I walked in, it reminded me of an old smokey bar. I don't believe smoking is allowed now. It is still kind of dim inside giving that old vibe. I ordered a fish sandwich and fries. Both items were delicious and cooked to perfection. I don't know about other items, but recommend the fish.”
