“The wind shut down restaurants due to power issues. That didn’t stop them! They were kind, they were not complaining due to the extra business close to closing time. All smiles and good services. I’m glad my normal Chinese restaurant was closed and forced me into their hands! Note I’m never going back to my old restaurant. Yeung’s House is now my new go to because their food is better (didn’t even know that was possible). P.S. shout out to the man taking orders because he remembered who ordered what and it was busy!!!!!”

“The food is always spot on. Great pizza, the fries are the best. Hoagies are delicious. The staff is wonderful and friendly. Highly recommended. Have never had “bad” food from there.”
“I'm confused. I grew up in this area and I thought it was called "Drinks"...? Was the name changed to "Westview Grill" recently?... either way.. No matter what the name is. It's a nice local bar. One of the few places you are able to smoke in.. Whether that's a good or bad thing it's your personal opinion. But it's a friendly local haunt....”

“I placed a mobile order and once I got there it was not ready yet. No biggie at all I had placed the order about 10 min prior to arriving and it’s not an issue to wait.We waited maybe 3-5 minutes (if that)before getting our food. They were very apologetic and gave us coupons for the wait and inconvenience. Absolutely shocked by this amazing service! Especially for a evening shift! You really don’t get that nowadays and this honestly made date night so much better! Their attitudes towards the situation was perfect! WHO EVER WAS WORKING DRIVE THRU AT THIS LOCATION AROUND 5-6pm DESERVES A RAISE!!!”

“We have dined here multiple times and each time it somehow gets better. Service is exceptional, food is incredible and the vibe and atmosphere is one-of-a-kind in Pittsburgh. Just wish it wasn’t so hard to get a reservation each time 😂”

“A group of 5 of us visited Dish last night and the meals were amazing. Grilled Squid, the best I have ever had. Where else can you find it not breaded and fried? Add to that their amazing sardines so fresh and good. Pasta Funghi another high. Exquisite detail to taste in every dish. The owners go way out of their way to make you feel welcomed and happy and very satisfied. A must visit when you are lucky enough to get a reservation though other friends have happily sat at the bar for dinner just to be there!! Kudos to Dish!”

“Had high expectations for this place but the food just wasn’t that great :/ I ate solo and even tried to fit in 3 dishes but neither of them really hit. Pierogi were nicely crisped on the outside but the romesco-like sauce on the bottom made the dish more on the acidic side, especially since there was already pickled relish on top, and I found myself wishing for more fat or sweetness. I actually used ricotta that came with bread and it tasted much better with it. Lobster roll filling was excellent but I wished they’d actually toasted the bread on the inside and not on the outside. Eating soft white bread of which there was a lot just didn’t feel great. Finally, the skate had good flavor and shishitos were a cute touch but the fish was severely undersalted (it’s a thick fillet) and the sauce on the bottom was, again, mostly acidic and didn’t help much.
Super romantic vibe inside and excellent service. Drinks were good, not great (I enjoyed their version of penicillin but the funghi one had no funghi flavor).”

“Look for our server, David M. Friendly, great sense of humor, provided advice on food and drinks. I wanted a Porter or a stout, and he joyfully replied “Left Hand Milk Stout!” He nailed it.”

“I cannot stress enough how amazing your restaurant and staff are. We’ve been patrons for years and have never experienced any issues. Our most recent two visits with our 3 young grandchildren were effortless! We love the food and staff so much. I will mention Vince as he waited on us both times and is so attentive as ALL the staff we have had. We love the mother/daughter staff, but I regret that I don’t know their names. My personal favorite is the custom calzone. I asked for thin dough and both meat and marinara sauce on the side. I was delighted that it was all perfect and I took half home! It was just as delicious reheated in my oven. Thanks Nick and staff!!! ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟🏆🌟⭐️🌟⭐️”

“This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)”

“The restaurant was too cold. It was uncomfortable. There was no where to sit in the entire restaurant that was warm other than the ladies room.”

“Love this hidden little gem! Always loved chatting with the owners and workers, but always just passing through and got my coffee to go. Today my internet went out at home and I got to work there for a few hours - just the nicest people and great coffee!”

“I have known about this place for many years, from when I was newer to Pittsburgh and helped manage the Dunkin Donuts nearby (a pretty dreadful experience overall), to hearing about it on a Rick Sebak documentary. But until today, I had never managed to stop by.
I was looking for a restaurant that was open for late breakfast on Memorial Day (one of the more rare days my entire family has a morning off together), and Isaly's fit the bill. The location is awash in the yesteryear- it truly feels like not much has changed inside in a many decades, which gives it a special nostalgic touch, if you're into that kind of thing.
I had the Barnyard sandwich, and I was a bit surprised at how good it the mishmash of items was. The rest of my family all enjoyed their various choices, and the waitress who seemed to be manning the entire small dining room was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a nice breakfast at a fair price in a place that eeks history and tradition of the area- I'd say it's worth a stop if you're in or around the West View area.”
