“We have been to the Dive Bar several times and the food and service have been very good. The only complaint my entire family had (including my 93-year-old Mom), is why is it so bright in the bar area. It was not a relaxing vibe at all and we left sooner than we normally would because it was just so darn bright!”

Starbucks 4801 McKnight Rd, Ross Coffee Shops • $$

“There are some things we know. Starbucks is good. Target is too. Why not combine them both?! The beauty of this location is that, despite its small size, it's conveniently located right inside the popular McKnight Target. No worrying about making an unnecessary stop beforehand, it's all in one place. They take points from the Starbucks app or 5% off if you use your Target RedCard! This shop has also been recently renovated along with the rest of the store, so it's up to date and fresh looking. I've never had problems here and the baristas/Target team members are helpful and up to regular Starbucks standards. They also have merchandise and seasonal flavors too.”

I went here with friends tonight, and was so impressed with everything. The service was great, the owner is so sweet, and I can not talk more highly of the food. This is a huge asset to the area and I wish them nothing but success.”

“Beyond being some of the (if not the sole) best Italian food I have ever had, what stands out most about Dish Osteria is their commitment to true hospitality; we arrived early to have drinks at the bar, and from the start we were treated with care and true personal interest. The bartender was so insightful and walked us through the menu, answering any questions we might have so that we could order our dinner with ease (it was last Wednesday at 8PM— I forget his name, but please give him his flowers. He was amazing!). I had the Little Bird bourbon cocktail and absolutely loved it. This level of care continued as we moved to our table for dinner. Our waiter and host went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal, refreshing our bread without us having to ask (that homemade focaccia was dangerous— we couldn’t stop eating it!), suggesting wine pairings, and also allowing us to taste two options when we couldn’t choose. Every single dish we ordered was phenomenally crafted and delicious ; we ordered the Gamberi shrimp and grilled artichoke salad to start, followed by the short rib ragu gnocchi and rigatoni with smoked scamorza for our entrees (I will dream about both of these dishes for some time). For dessert, we had the lemon cello cheesecake, which was perfectly balanced with sweet and tangy flavors. Our waiter also provided us with a complimentary glass of moscato with our dessert. This was a phenomenal first experience at this restaurant and I cannot wait to come back. I’m also gifting a visit here to some of my friends for their anniversary and can’t wait for them to try it as well!”

The staff was very kind, and the food was just excellent. The spices were perfect, just right. We got the B2B chicken as an appetizer and it was amazing: perfectly crispy with a tasty breading, and the sauce was so good I licked the ramekin clean. I'll definitely be back.”

“This place is AMAZING! My mom and I are in town for a college tour, and many people were walking around with the ice cream so I suggested we give it a try. Immediately the two guys in there were delightful and very helpful and cheery. The atmosphere was so fun the moment we walked in. The flavors were amazing and I almost couldn’t choose between the Thin Mint and the Pittsburgh Pride. I ended up going with the latter. It is like brownie/oreo/cookie chunks and butterscotch. There might be another thing added. My mom got the pear flavor. We are both extremely satisfied with our choices. They did say that the flavors change up pretty often - for example, they’re getting ready for Blackberry Lemonade. But Pittsburgh Pride will always be available. So if you’re looking for a cute little dessert place after dinner, this is the place!”

“I searched Google looking for doubles, the same ones I get in Brooklyn and came across this Gem! I went in today hoping to fulfill my craving for doubles but unfortunately they’re only sold on the weekends. My second choice were oyster wangz but there wasn’t any today. End up ordering the bowl (with coconut rice stewed soya, okra and chickpeas) fried oyster mushroom sandwich, sorrel wine, tamarind ginger drink and a vegan chocolate chip cookie! My total was $41 which I felt was a great price! I was displeased with the sandwich bc it was overcooked and the small amount of sorrel wine. The taste eas not that great for me but it may be for someone else. The tamarind ginger drink vegan cookie and stewed soya was so so delicious!! I will come back to try the doubles and roti! I appreciated the cleanliness of the small restaurant and the presentation of the food!”

“Senyai has some amazing Thai food. I really love their Pad Medmamuang. The crispy chicken in roasted chili sauce with cashews give it a superior taste. It’s absolutely delicious and if you like chicken, you should give it a shot. Their Grapow Kai Krop is also one of my favorite. I have tried grapow in other Thai restaurants but senyais just taste better. This time I tried their red curry with tofu. The tofu was so soft and delicious. The curry was okay. They also have the patio open which makes senyai one of the few places in Pittsburgh to allow outdoor seating even in winter. Overall, the place is cute. I recommend making reservations over weekend as it gets really busy.”

My fiancée had thier Italian hoagie which he felt bad and gave me half of his sandwich to eat. The bartender did ask if I liked it. I did let him know about the pizza not being too good. He just looked and didn't say anything and walked away. I'll still come here. But that flat bread has to go. I don't even see how that one is on the menu! The only down side was that I wanted a Bolognaise pasta and Wendy told me that it was not on the menu, but they could make up a batch for me. First off, unlike the other pasta's on the menu that were amazing, the Bolognaise dish that the chef threw together for me was mediocre at best. Not to mention, I was charged $46 for the sauce and $3 for the noodles? For a plate of pasta that was not good at all. When all of the other dishes offered much more of a delicious pasta at half the cost. Long story short, don't order off the menu and you will enjoy this very much.”
