“The people there are great!!! Although I decieved them of my Uncle's birthday. We, a dozen of us, from out of state where in the area to visit the house he was born in 95yrs ago in Eckley miner's town. They came with cake and song for him. When they over heard my grandson's (9yrs his great, great nephew) birthday was the next day. They did the same for him. Also, When we left there and was waiting for our family to gather outside. We met a women who offered to guide us to my Uncle's parents cemetary. Which would have been a challenge. And by chance, when we reached our destination. Her sister, a passanger, knew my uncle while growing up there.

“First time in the Caribbean Smokehouse this morning and I had an excellent breakfast, delicious hot coffee and also had the pleasure of meeting the new owner who was very friendly and courteous to all the customers in her establishment. I will be back for sure“

“My husband and I recently ate here while staying in the area. We’re both from NYC and when I say that this is one of the best meals we have ever had from a Chinese restaurant, we mean it !!! The food felt so healthy to eat and it was of good quality taste. Def recommend this place!“

“What a hidden gem! (Maybe not hidden, but new to us; haha.) I took my guy here for the Chocolate and Bourbon pairing experience as a little birthday surprise. Neither of us had been here before, and we were so impressed. Janice was knowledgeable, kind, warm, and patient while we asked a bunch of questions. They have such a unique product with a lovely story behind it. The price for the experience felt more than fair, especially given the personalized attention you get. Full disclosure it was just the two of us during our booked experience, but I can’t imagine it being any less enjoyable with a larger group as long as everyone’s respectful of the host!
I work in customer experience and was a little bummed to see the few less positive reviews. Feedback is important, but it’s clear this is a small, family-run business, and expectations should reflect that. There’s a small team here, and honestly, if you come in expecting lightning-fast service while hanging out with friends for drinks, that’s on you. Although I imagine it's just fine anyway. Grab a small plate, buy a bottle, and enjoy the wait (if that’s allowed!) They have clear signage about their 21+ rule, a super informative website, and set expectations clearly. Highly recommend. We can’t wait to go back!“
