“We had a great dinner experience at Rustic Kitchen with a group of six friends. They accommodated us perfectly with a table for six, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Our seasoned waiter was training a younger waitress, and both of them did an excellent job. The young man helping with cleanup and table service was also very attentive and hardworking.

Everyone was constantly checking on us, making sure we had everything we needed and asking if we were satisfied with our meals and drinks. The food was excellent across the board. Our group ordered everything from the half roast chicken to the orecchiette pasta and chicken parmesan, and every meal was delicious.

The portion sizes were very generous, and the pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the amount of food and drinks we had. Overall, it was a great night with excellent food, attentive staff, and a very enjoyable atmosphere. We will definitely be back.“

“My daughter had a pop-up cookie booth slangin’ samoas down the street, so we do-si-do’d into Bistro to explore more of their menu, father/son tapas edition. The ambiance is quiet and low-lit, tough for menu reading post-40 but just what the doctor ordered after a loud, busy, sensory-filled day. My tag-along insisted on the clams, not knowing what etouffee was, and he really questioned the roasted peanuts on the sticky Asian ribs, but they reeled me in. There was a lot going on with the prosciutto wrapped dates, and my best guy steered clear of the adventureful bowl, but between bites of crispy prosciutto and sweet date, with a pronounced blue cheese and hot honey kick, I was cleaning up that hummus like I was a butternut squash ambassador. Not to be outranked, the Southern fried chicken tacos may have been the best bang for our buck; they were absolutely delicious and you can't even get fast food chicken tacos at that price point; very impressive. Can't wait to get back!“

“Marty’s seems to have been a firm family favorite and suggestion to others for….well, since I can remember. Seems like they’ve been open since the mid-80’s, circa my start date as well. I can’t really say it’s a ‘hidden gem’ because it’s notoriously mentioned in many circles as the “have you ever been to THIS place??” place, but people usually answer YES, with wide eyes and a few memorable dish notes. We went for a mid-week date night, and there was a constant flow of seemingly satisfied diners. The ambiance was warm and cozy, not too dimly lit but very deliberately paced with the huge portions they offer; the service was top-notch, friendly and knowledgeable, always checking back at the right times and knowing what we would need as guests. We ordered several of their suggestions with no reservations, and they delivered. My fiance still talks about that apple cider margarita and it’s firmly on the list of not-too-hard-to-make restaurant favorites we roll out for our guests at home. The stuffed mushrooms had a ton of crab meat and far less breading than most, without being saturated or too heavy to start the meal. The salads are certainly slept on; neatly arranged but never the star when pitted up against their hearty steak or cajun offerings, their house salads are hard to beat, unless you're paying up for a meal-type salad. As good as those two items were, the scallops I had with their cracker-encrusted light breading were the epitome of simple, sauteed, buttery-by-nature seafood; they were the best version of scallops like that I’ve ever had. And the dessert…just perfect for so many reasons; crispy and gooey caramelized bananas, a good amount of vanilla ice cream and the best cinnamony syrup sauce that I couldn’t stop lapping up. Really, a fantastic experience, we’ll be back!“

They do NOT serve "fast" food, they serve outstanding food and if you order steak as I did it is more than worth the wait to receive an excellent steak prepared exactly as you asked for. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!“

“The Cafe is a comfortable spot for lunch or dinner. The food choices are posted on the wall for customer consideration and ordering at the counter. The food is mysteriously delivered by a member of the staff. I chose a chicken Caesar wrap. It was full of chicken but was a bit dry on this occasion, more lettuce and dressing was needed. It was served with potato chips (meh) and a pickle chip. My friend ordered a club sandwich with special modifications. It also was served with potato chips. We each enjoyed soft drinks -- lemonade and Sprite. A full bar is available which includes specialty coffees. I recommend this long-standing restaurant.“

“Went to lunch here with my mom during an extremely busy lunch time on weekend and it was still such a great experience. The staff were all so pleasant even though they were running around like crazy. They took a bit to get my tea and I didnt even mind but yet they gave us free cookies at the end of our meal just as an apology, which they didn't even need to do, I understood fully they were just busy. We will absolutely be back!!! Wonderful customer service, worth every penny.“

“We had my Son & Daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner there on 10/10/2025 in their event space upstairs. We had the event room & outside patio for about 50 people. I live in Vermont and communicating with Chef Jimbo was a delight. He was quick to respond and offered suggestions and was very enthusiastic and helpful. Chef Jimbo went above and beyond to make this event special & memorable. The food was delicious south western style food and service was outstanding. All of our guests were raving about how delicious the food was. After dinner it became a welcome party for the Wedding guests in town - a most memorable & enjoyable evening. If I lived closer and had to host an event they would be #1 on my list.“
