Sorry to hear they closed. This was where we ate before I proposed to my partner at hickory run state park last September. We both had their kfc bowl. Was fantastic. Hope to see them in the future.
I've been vegan for 8 years and this is my all time favorite vegan restaurant. I was even lucky enough to work for them at one point and good god everything they make is pure serotonin. If there is such a thing as vegan gods they are some of them. Order their serene bean chili (named after me because it's my fav side) or coleslaw, their ice creams are all incredible, their nachos are to die for, basically anything you eat from them is going to leave you fat and happy.
Everything is made from scratch from the mock meats to the ice cream, and they serve the french fries piping hot.
Umami Gorilla is a vegan restaurant that serves incredible food, leaving customers feeling satisfied. The staff is helpful, and the menu offers a wide variety of options like serene bean chili, coleslaw, nachos, and delicious ice creams. Despite some minor issues with the ambiance and cleanliness inside, the tasty burgers, nachos, and shakes make up for it. Parking might be a bit tricky, but it's worth the visit for a fat and happy experience.
