“Not sure about the bad reviews, as I’ve never had any issues the many times I’ve gone to this Master Wok. Their General Tso’s chicken (across multiple locations) is some of the best I’ve ever had and the food always tastes fresh. It’s my go-to Chinese food spot when I’m in the area.“

“There should not be so many negative reviews for this establishment. It seems like the people who are upset are just upset that they couldn’t scam the employees lol. I love the food here. It tastes better than most local takeout Chinese restaurants. I highly recommend the pepper chicken and generals chicken. Everything I’ve eaten here is sooooo delicious and the portions are HUGE!! I got two different chickens, roasted potatoes, and lo mein and it was 13 dollars and some change and they absolutely STUFF the container to the brim! Also the employees are not the least bit rude, there’s just a slight language barrier. Thats why people are being so rude. Don’t believe the reviews!“

“Listen Kay was not bad. He has a lot of potential. I really do think he try’s hard but lacks the skill of time management. I definitely do think he can throw a jab one two with his “heavy hands” on the soda machine(lil cherry). He hooked me up with that little cake good work. He did bark at me though. All in all he’s been hustling. Kay get yo money up not yo funny up lil bruh. Much love, Wroof-Wroof.“

“We had my grandmother's 91st birthday celebration here in April. It was a party of 18, family style, and it was the best experience ever! The food was delicious, a great variety, beautiful plate presentation, and a warm atmosphere. The staff was attentive to our every need, the restaurant was clean and inviting and our entire group had an amazing experience! We will definitely be back!“

“I love the lemon grass soup w/the scallops & shrimp & rice noodles. It’s actually the only thing I have been getting there for the past 2 years. Yesterday the scallops were HUGE & whole...they’re usually broken, small ones!“

“CASH ONLY. They have an ATM on site though.
This place is great!
Typical Chinese takeout spot with a pretty standard menu. They have a great lunch deal during the week where you get an entree and either a soup or soda for like $10.
I’ve tried a bunch of things here and have never been disappointed. Portions are a good size and I usually have leftovers.“

“It’s by far the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. Not only is the food delicious, the owner, Cary and his staff are the nicest people. I highly recommend them! Also, they deliver. #wontonsoup #exceptional“

“This is definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. The food itself was delicious and high-quality. One thing I noticed, however, is that there seems to be a slight difference between the menu offered to Chinese patrons and non-Chinese guests. I saw some people ordering dishes that weren't on the standard menu—I’m not quite sure what they were, but everything looked authentic and tasted great. If you're looking for solid Chinese cuisine, this place is definitely worth a visit.“

“I was looking for roast crispy duck. I didn't want to go to Chinatown because its gotten rundown, yucky traffic, expensive parking and horrible SEPTA. I decided to stay in my neighborhood so I could walk. I worried about it being expensive. Chestnut Hill is high end and the restaurant looked pricey. What a WONDERFUL SURPRISE! I was a solo table but still treated like a queen with lots of servers checking in, giving water and smiling. The roast duck in black bean sauce on the cast iron plate was SCRUMPTIOUS. It comes with a healthy side of white rice and delicate, flavorful bok choi. The skin was crispy yet NOT oily or greasy. The CHUNKS of tender duck meat were excellent. The sauce was thick, savory and yummy. FOODGASM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The portion was so healthy that I was able to take a container home for lunch the next day. Then I ordered the Mudslide ice cream pie for dessert. PERFECTION. Dense, creamy, sweet but not cloying with nut accents, fresh strawberries and cream as garnish. Cool treat on a humid Summer night. When the bill came, I was shocked that it was less than $40. I did not order a cocktail because I wanted to concentrate on the food. I gave them a big tip and said I am absolutely returning. I am also addicted to their spring rolls too. Two perfect crunchy flaky rolls filled with a balanced combination of shrimp, cheese, and cabbage that you can dip in duck sauce or mustard or just enjoy plain.“

“The best Chinese around us. We drive all the way from north Doylestown because their food is so flavorful without being greasy. My entire family loves everything we order from here. The wonton soup is especially good as is the fried rice, hunan chicken, fried dumplings, and pork lo mein! The owners are so nice as is their son who is there whenever I pick up.“

“SIMPLY THE BEST CHINESSE RESTAURANT IN THE AREA. We go all the way from Hatboro to this place because is good. They put lots of different vegetables. It is the best in this area. It is not gourmet but the average Chinese restaurant is the best. The people is super nice. The guy cooking is real Chinese and you can tell that he cares. You go to other places, and they just put a bunch of broccoli with a little bit of sauce and they call it Vegie Mix, here, you get a variety of vegetables. The food WAS NOT salty at all, natural.“

“Our go to Chinese place! The only place in the area that is consistent in pricing and food items always being the same with every order.
We have ordered from here several times and will continue to as long as we live in Newtown!
Will start posting pictures everytime we order, they need more food pictures to show the quality and freshness of their food! (Which is always spot on)“

“The Panang Curry Chicken is an 8 out of 10 when they serve it to you. Then if you dont finish it, take it home, reheat it the next day, its an absolute 10 out of 10. The sauce gets thicker and the flavor gets richer and its downright delectable.
I really like this place. The service is better than most similar places, the appetizers we get are all great. I love their lo-mein, they do a really good bourbon chicken, my girlfriend LOVES the green jade. Everything I've tried here has been top-tier.“

It's the only Chinese restaurant I will order from in the future. Also, the person who took my order was so friendly as was the delivery person. And the food was nice and hot when it was delivered! “This was my go-to spot for delicious takeout food when I lived in Philadelphia. I'd drive out of my way to pick this up. The mango basil fried rice is amazing! I also liked the hunan shrimp. I moved away years ago but got some food again last week when visiting the area, it is still just as yummy as I remember it! The inside is bit rough around the edges but that's normal for takeout spots. Whenever I'm in the area the mango basil fried rice is a must get! Definitely a hidden a gem!!! 😋“

“My family and I 5 generations have enjoyed your food over the years. From my granny (who has now past) my mother, myself, my children, and now their children. The food is always fresh, tasty and having moved down south trips back up North include a 30 - 40 min drive from New Jersey. Love the family, when we come for food we often talk about our children as we are in the same age group and update on the new things. Visiting soon will be making a trip over.“

“The lunch specials are a great deal. The Mapo Tofu was great (and well portioned) and the wontons in the wonton soup were well made (the broth of the wonton soup was pretty middling but at the end of the day you're getting the soup for the wontons not the broth).“

“Got a general tso combo platter. Super fast, the staff is very friendly, and the portion size is easily double anywhere else in east mount airy for a dollar or two less. Downside is the chicken was not crispy, and it was barely in the box for 5 minutes so i know it didnt get soggy that way. Also the fried rice and egg roll were only so so. Because of the huge portion im having some of the chicken for lunch the next day, 100 percent better cold so it isn't soggy.“

“Best Chinese food we have had in a long time! The staff were friendly. We all ordered different items and everything was delicious. The meat is hand breaded and fried. Towards the back you can see the staff hand making and stuffing dough. Would recommend to anyone in the area!“

“You can order online from a website that kindly reminds you what it was like on the internet in the 00's, before every millimeter of your screen was optimized and monetized. Things are misspelled (Chicken w/ borcolli; Singapore Rice Noodel) in a way that doesn't interfere with intelligibility, and provides yet another reminder of charm from a past you might not have experienced but can still, if only faintly, remember. Similarly, the interior harkens to a China that likely doesn't exist and never existed, but is convenient for the American perception. A large palm stands tall yet sheds two or three yellow leaves, suggesting that most attention is paid by staff behind the counter, not in front of it. A calendar shows an impossibly skinny Chinese woman looking at you genially. The wallpaper combines shades of jade and a muted yellow which, alongside the mahogany-colored chairs and tables, creates an inviting environment to wait for your food, seemingly on accident (though one can never be too sure).
It's a casual experience from start to finish. It weighs only very lightly on you, and the action causing the most resistance is when you try make a final decision on what you'll be ordering. The prices are cheap--one order of food, for just one person, could feed you for three whole meals. Therefore, this decision has a three day consequence--and don't be fooled by the casual nature of everything, there are definitely wrong choices. Any non-breaded chicken you order will be soggy and formless, and most beef will be similar. However, the spare rib and the breaded chicken (specifically General Tso's) are full of flavor and savory texture, as is the pork-fried rice, as are the eggrolls. The canned sodas from the fridge even taste better than store bought.
The family who owns the place are incredibly kind, even in the face of hardship. I ordered on Christmas Eve when they were absolutely swamped, since no other restaurants in the area were open. In total I waited 2 hours for my food, as did other patrons whom I waited with. We were all given an entire bag of Chinese tea candies as a token of the staff's appreciation, as were handed the bag with a disproportionate amount of glee and genuine cheer. I also live near some of the people who own/work the place, and they are some of the only people in the neighborhood willing to be vulnerable enough to smile and wave as neighbors cross their path. They are caring and patient towards their young children as well, and they work their tails off.
American-Chinese takeout, like most things for sale in today's markets, is both great and terrible for you. The levels of sodium, if consumed everyday, would cause severe inflammation in your body. However, your pockets will be happy that you chose to settle down with a 9 dollar 3000 calorie deal instead of doordashing Popeyes and paying $30 for it. And, most importantly, something in your soul will feel called to, catered to, held, and loved. Food is love, and that is one of the few human universals. New China JAMISON is a method for tapping into this love on an as-needed basis, and offers even more in terms of nostalgia and warmth for those with the minds open to perceive it. I give them 4/5 stars.“
“The food is amazing! Flavors are rich and spicy. The service was excellent! The restaurant is clean and welcoming. My only complaint (the reason for 4 stars) is a very big screen tv showing the news the entire two hours we were there. Not good for the digestion. .“
“I’ve been going here since they first opened, this small family run business is amazing! Their quality for the food is excellent for the pricing and the service there is very friendly. I do pickup and the time that the food gets ready is always quick, My family always loves to go to this place at least once a week. I’ve tried delivery before but it was a little slow but I understand because their busy sometimes, overall I would recommend!“

“I make a 40-minute drive every time I crave Chinese food. This place is my go-to! Of course, being across the street from a bar means I have to deal with the occasional drunk men hitting on me, but it’s all worth it. As long as they don’t get disrespectful, it’s a small price to pay. Plus, I always order ahead, so I only have to wait about 2 minutes, if that, when I get there. The staff is incredibly friendly and takes their time when you order through the phone. My favorite dishes would have to be the Beef Yat and Boneless spare ribs!! Hands down, this is the best place for Chinese food!“

“The food is good one of the better black bean noodles I’ve had. My only complaint is not giving me what I ordered which was seafood black bean noodles($20.99) because when I came home there was no seafood in sight so I basically got the regular black bean noodles($12.99).“
“Been going here for about 12 years. Just me and my family, and then I put my coworkers on. They never looked at another restaurant after this. I've never ever had a problem with service or food in this place...EVERRR!!! TAP IN!! THEY GOT A 5 STAR RATING..LET THAT SINK IN“

“This gem is tucked in a shopping center with a way too-tight parking lot. Not an eat-in restaurant though there is a counter with stools by the window. They keep increasing prices, but they've kept the quality of the food and portion size. This made the increase acceptable (to me) in these crazy economic times. I ordered in-store rather than online, and it was prepared fresh and fast. Highly recommended.“

“Sesame chicken and general tso chicken were both really tasty. I've tried several Chinese restaurants since we moved here going to find somewhere decent (I'm a bit of a Chinese food snob and most places nearby are not too my standards) and this place meets my criteria. I will say, no they don't seem to have wonton soup, and they brought out cups for tea so I was expecting complimentary tea but they never brought any.
TLDR: Food is good. No wonton soup, crispy noodles, or complimentary tea.“
“I'm very sad to see this place is closed . It's a little out of the way but I found it by accident a few months ago and the family was very friendly and the food was very good especially during lunch unfortunately it was never busy and that may have contributed to it closing but I thought the place was actually pretty amazing and still worth putting a review about even though it is closed . I wish the family the best of everything in their new adventures.“

“I was in town for work and looking for a place to eat. While looking I came across China Garden Inn. Now from the outside it looks like a basic plan Chinese restaurant, but when you go inside wow. The staff is friendly and great you right away. The decor is amazing and your can't miss the giant fish tank in the middle of the restaurant.
Now onto the food. I order steamed dumplings, beef with broccoli, which also came with choice of soup, fried rice and egg roll. All the food came out hot and flavorful. I can't wait to go back to this restaurant and enjoy something else off the menu.“
