“Incredible food, drinks and service! The atmosphere is lovely as well, it's a treat to dine in the garden when the weather is warm. They have very creative and delicious cocktails, I enjoyed their take on an old fashioned with chai tea and smoked cedar. I recommend ordering family style so you can try as much as possible. The roti with chicken curry, pork satay, tuna laab, 17 ingredient salad, stir fried morning glory and mushrooms, chicken jungle curry and khao soi beef cheek were all delicious!!! We also enjoyed the coconut ice cream and Thai custard for dessert, it's hard to go wrong here when everything on the menu is so good. Tables are hard to book, but if you can't get a reservation you can walk in if you show up 15-20 minutes before they open“

“Hands down the best Thai food I've ever had. the steamed pork dumplings are addictive sometimes I'll just get 3 orders of those. Their Pad kee Mao is my favorite dish, the flat rice noodles hold the flavor amazingly and this is also the first Thai place I've ever encountered that a 10/10 spice is too much for me. 6-7 is so rich with spice without the overwhelming heat. “APTEKA is AMAAAAAAZING! It was my first time here. We got there right at 5 pm, and there was a line already (though it went fast!) Menus were handed out while in line by a very friendly and gracious staff member. You order and pay once you enter the building and before sitting down. (You can add on later, if desired, for example - dessert.) The atmosphere is so pleasant, service is friendly, and the food is simply DIVINE. (And the water, served from glass bottles is delicious - I’m fussy about the water I drink and this water is obviously filtered and clean.) We got the pierogi and it was delicious. APTEKA is a wonderful 100% vegan experience. We will definitely be back. If we didn’t live 2 hours away, we’d be there weekly and make it a goal to try everything in the menu. RUN, don’t walk, to APTEKA!“

“We were walking around on a Saturday afternoon, and this was one of the few places open. We were so glad! Night before we ate at a place that had high reviews but we were super disappointed. Lot 71 was great! Everyone stole my sweet potato fries with sweet butter dip, and my jalapeño steak wrap was just the right heat. My son said his burger was great and my wife had leftover Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. We will definitely go back when we visit my son.“

The burger was juicy and grilled to perfection. The loaded fries had a remarkable homemade cheese sauce and fresh cooked bacon. The boneless chicken chunks were very fresh with mouth watering sauces of honey barbecue and Tai Sweet Chili. My husband said the Cajun Chicken Mac was the best he has ever had. Parking is tough...because it's Shadyside. If you go for an early dinner there is never any wait.

My quoted time was 40 to 55 minutes. We waited an additional 30 to be told that I wasn't checked in properly. Waited a total of an hour and 20 minutes and still was not seated.“

“My husband and I stopped by yesterday with our young autistic son. We gave the staff a heads up that eating inside may or may not work depending on our son and how he was able to handle it. The people were so kind, understanding, and accommodating and did everything they could to try to make our visit possible. From giving us the choice of where we'd feel most comfortable to sit, to offering cartoons and crayons. They even made up a batch of fries before we came in so our son would have something to eat as soon as we sat down. Unfortunately we weren't able to eat inside but we did get our food to go and it was delicious. “At the time of writing this, Alta Via has an average rating of 3.7 and I cannot, for the life of me, fathom why. The food was fantastic and served quickly. The portions are generous, and the pricing for a half vs full is linear (half portion is exactly half the price) which is not typical-you’re usually charged a bit more than half in restaurants. Our service was great; Anna was attentive and took questions to help us navigate the menu. The atmosphere is just right with respect to volume and very tidy. Somehow they made the seating comfortable yet fine and all pleasing to the eye. The pricing is deeply reasonable-our meal would have been $100 if not for the wine bottle, and that’s an appetizer, four half portion entrees, and desert. The food is creative, and entrees have been crafted carefully and thoughtfully. Frankly, it’s just way too nice to be that close to a Primantis.“
