“Stopped in here on a Friday early evening for dinner. You order at the counter and then they call you when your order is ready. I thought the prices were very good for the portions you got. I enjoyed a hummus bowl that had veggies in it and falafel. I got a meal so i picked a salad and a bottle of water to go with it. There was so much food! My boyfriend liked his dinner as well! The restaurant looked fairly new. Nicely decorated and clean. I will be back for another hummus bowl!“

“The food here is seriously tasty. My daughter absolutely loved it, and she's usually a picky eater. She said it was the best meal ever! The atmosphere is really welcoming too. Everything on the menu is good, but the goat karahi was something else – really outstanding.“

“Forgot to take a picture because I was too excited to try this place! I got the Main #4 to try a slider and a tender + fries. The guys working were super helpful and kind with my indecisiveness. They actually let me try one thing at the medium and one thing at the screamin spice level for the things I got. (I went with a medium slider and screamin tender). They put ghost pepper in the screamin' spice, so its definitely spicy, but so good . I do have a really high spice tolerance and i'll describe it as on the same level as the samyang buldak ramen (iykyk). The slider was also great. The slaw does well to mask the medium spice and pickles were super fresh. The fries have a spice mix on them as well but they're not spicy, more like cajun seasoning. Note: I would recommend eating there if you can for the best crunch factor. Overall, I really enjoyed everything I got, and I would definitely come back with some friends that can handle their spice.“

“I have been to my fair share of Halal trucks in Philly. This has proven to be my favorite. Some would claim they are all the same but the consistent quality of this location is what puts it above the rest. Comb over rice, extra red sauce. At least once a week.“

“There were bunch of mediterranean food places near by where we live at. Had coupleplaces in mind to try from, and for thistime we went ahead with Sama Grill.We ordered chicken shawarma & chicken kebab entrees with side of hummus & tzatziki sauce respectively. The rice had such a subtle flavor , along with the chickenshawarma well cooked topped of with garlic sauce.Their chicken kebabs were pretty amazing , juicy , nice herb flavors , and very light. Hummus was great with Pita bread.Their tzatziki sauce was disappointing , which tasted just like a yoghurt with no such great flavor in it. The hot sauce was not good , either I have mistaken it for hot sauce or it might have been something-else. Either ways I will not try their red sauce personally.We also have tired their Turkish coffee which was an interesting flavor, coffee with cardamom flavor in it. Felt like the cardamom flavor dominated the actual coffee flavor. However it smelled great and tasted decent.Overall after having food at Sama grill it felt very light on stomach given their such subtle balanced herb flavors and well cooked juicy chicken. Glad that we tried out this place.“

We moved to a different part of the city but went tonight for takeout.Not only was the food delicious (falafel is always so incredible) and the portions are huge, they remembered me when I walked in the door! “I visited the truck during my lunch break to pick up lunch for me and my mother. We both got the chicken over rice with the salad. The man in the truck was very nice and personable. The person in front of me ordered six plates, and he served them promptly. When it was my turn order, he greeted me warmly and served the food fairly quickly. The food is delicious and the portions are great, the meal comes with a drink as well. it's a plentiful serving because I only ate half for dinner and had the other half the next day for lunch and it was just as delicious. “Just so that you know it is a street cart and not a brick and mortar place. This kind of places remind me my old days when I used to work in one of this during my master in NJ. Food was ok and prices are always reasonable in such a cart. Chicken could have been more chopped and juicy. Overall it was a decent lunch.“

“This place has a special spot in my heart. They are open 24 hours so I used to walk here at all hours if I forgot an ingredient I needed for cooking Sicilian food and for interesting finds. I haven't tried much of their hot food so I can't really speak to that. But I have tried some of their homemade desserts which are also pretty good. They even had imported, packaged Frutta Martorana a couple times that I went which was a lovely surprise for me. I just wish they also had fresh produce here!“

Recently I've heard a lot of great things about Asad's Chicken on Cottman and Boulevard. And Percy's Chicken on Frankford. First I went to Percy's, it was shut down by Health Department(ceased of operation paper). Then I went to Asad's, the line is ridiculously long and they only served sliders and smoothies. We decided to drive a little to Khan's Halal Food. It was empty when we arrived, but that didn't stop us from dinning in. We decided to get Khan's #2 and Chicken Over Rice. The Chicken over Rice was our favorite. The meat wasn't dry or stringy. They weren't stingy on the white creamy sauce. Everything in that platter mix very well together including the brown rice, lettuce and the cucumbers. Khan's #2 gives 2 sliders and fries. I had paid extra for cheese fries. The two sliders meats were very juicy. Even though I ask for hot(one lower spice than extra hot), it wasn't spicy at all. The only thing that I was hoping they do carry is fruit smoothies. Because both Asad's and Percy's carry those smoothies. Unfortunately, Khan's only have sodas, lemonade, iced tea, and half&half.“
