“The food was SUPERB! Very tasty and LARGE portions! Staff were polite and friendly. We did not feel rushed when ordering our food and with asking questions about ingredients in a few food items/choices. Ambiance: So this was my first time here. Very delicious food and pleasant staff, however I was shocked to see the TINY tables for eating. I have never seen tables so tiny, in a cafe/eatery setting, ever in my life...for eating! I was afraid the food wouldn't all fit on the table and that we would have to hold a plate in our hands. The seating is VERY tight, like a packed sardine tight, like I wanted to leave and go elsewhere with roomier seating tight, but my man wanted to treat me to delicious food, so I chalked it up and said nothing. Otherwise food and staff were awesome, and you get what you pay for; i.e. their portions are LARGE and very yummy. I rated them 3 stars, although I really wanted to give them 2, solely for the seating setup. Otherwise, I rate them 5, for their food and service.“

We all chose to be adventurous and go with the specials recommended by our waiter Fathi. That gentleman exudes charisma and is the embodiment of good service. We loved everything we were served even though they were all exotic dishes, which can be a gamble.

FYI. There are no alcoholic drinks and you cannot BYOB. We were disappointed about that at first because we like to enjoy a couple of drinks with a nice meal but that was soon forgotten. We travel a good bit and have enjoyed nice meals in many countries. This one ranks high on our list. Bon Kif Grill is a do not miss.“

“Hosted a mixer event for close to 70 guests. The team here was exceptional. Great food, accommodated dietary needs of a diverse group, and the presentation and service excellent. Cozy and relaxed setting with attentive wait staff. Our guests really enjoyed themselves. Highly recommend for a lovely evening out or for an informal event venue.

“Young American hosted my 40th birthday dinner party, and we had a wonderful time! The food and drinks were delicious and affordable with good portions. “My family and I (5 of us) were visiting Philly this weekend and were looking for a nice brunch place. Continental Midtown was perfect. The food was amazing. I had the Chilaquiles. The flavor was pure yum. I ate every morsel on my plate. My wife loved her Eggs Benedict with Salmon. The eggs and sauce were perfectly cooked. The service was perfect. Our server, Sela, was so hospitable and sweet. She took our order and the food came out quickly as if it just came off the grill. Will certainly return the next time we are in Philly. Wish I took some photos of our food but we devoured it in no time.

I picked the classic flavor, and it was sooo good. It wasn’t overly sweet. It was moist too.

“Nice back patio on a sunny and cool October afternoon. It's a big space inside and out. I had some kind of fancy burger that was amazing. I ordered it medium rare, and it was a perfect medium rare, which is pretty unusual in my experience. The side salad was simple and excellent. Service was great. The only reason for 4 stars on the atmosphere was the giant commuter tracks running above Front Street. That's just what you get when you pick a restaurant there. Prices were reasonable. I'd go back for sure.“

I recently discovered Good Karma Cafe and I'm hooked! This charming spot exceeded my expectations with its warm atmosphere, top-notch service, and delicious food.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, happily answering our questions about the menu. We indulged in their mouthwatering chicken sandwiches on sourdough bread, paired with refreshing lemonade and iced tea. The cozy back dining room, adorned with vibrant art and lush greenery, made for a pleasant dining experience.

Their breakfast and brunch menu boasts an array of tempting options, making me eager to return. Standouts include the Colonel Mustard sandwich and almond croissant.

Good Karma Cafe excels in:

“As an avid fan of Indian cuisine, I decided to give Tiffin Indian Cuisine a try. Following my usual approach when visiting a new restaurant, I opted for some of the simplest and most traditional dishes: vegetable samosas as an appetizer, chicken tikka masala for the main course, and rice pudding (kheer) for dessert.

The service was prompt—my food arrived within 10 minutes of being seated. One thing to note: you have the option to either sit and wait for a server or order at the counter.

Starting with the samosas, they were quite good overall. Made traditionally with peas and potatoes, the only slight drawback was the strong presence of cumin, which slightly overwhelmed the other flavors. While I know cumin is common in Indian cuisine, I found it a bit too dominant here. However, the three accompanying chutneys—peach, tamarind, and green chutney—were delightful. The peach chutney was my favorite, offering a perfect balance to the spices in the samosas.

The chicken tikka masala was exactly what I hoped for. It was prepared traditionally and the flavors were spot-on. There’s not much else to say—it was a solid dish, well-executed and flavorful.

Unfortunately, the meal ended on a slightly disappointing note with the kheer (rice pudding). Kheer is supposed to be creamy and sweet, but this one was watery and lacked the usual richness. It tasted mostly of milk, with none of the complexity or sweetness that typically makes kheer so enjoyable.

A few additional notes about the restaurant itself: their QR codes on the tables didn’t work, which was a bit frustrating. Also, their website could use an update, as it didn’t reflect the full menu that was available in the restaurant.

As for the atmosphere, it was fairly simple and didn’t scream "Indian culture" in an overwhelming way. The decor was plain but featured subtle touches, like Indian photography on the walls, which I personally enjoyed. While the space didn’t feel overly themed or immersive, the minimalist approach worked well enough to create a relaxed dining environment.

Despite these minor setbacks, I would still recommend Tiffin Indian Cuisine to anyone looking for a traditional Indian food experience. I’m looking forward to seeing their improvements in the future.“

Their menu items often change, incorporating new and exciting ideas often. Some yummy ones that I tried are tiramisu, pavlova, caramel cheesecake, pumpkin cheesecake, fruit tarts, and more!
