“Golden Star is an absolute gem! I stopped by on a whim, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly cooked food had me excited. I ordered the teriyaki beef sticks and sweet and sour pork, and wow—each bite was better than the last! The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned, while the pork was crispy and paired wonderfully with the tangy sauce.

“Great food. The vegetables were great. One of the things about stir fried food, is that the veggies often get soft. These vegetables were nice and crisp, not overcooked at all. And the shrimp was very tasty too. The egg rolls were so good, we tried the pork but they have more than one type. The egg drop was so delicious. It has a hint of sesame in it. I had never had any quite like it. Word of warning, the soup and egg rolls are served very hot! I believe it's because they seem to be mostly for to go orders. We ate in and definitely had to wait to eat it.“

“I love beef & broccoli its my go to. But from here the beef is always chewy so i switched to Chicken & Broccoli and its 10x better. Same broth as the beef version which is definetly a plus and their chicken is just a class above their beef. The egg rolls are hit n miss, depends on how recent they changed the oil“

“This Chinese restaurant was fantastic! They delivered late—around 10:44 PM—and everything arrived piping hot and fresh. The woman who took my order spoke excellent English and was incredibly kind. They even included free Chinese donuts, which was such a nice surprise. The delivery driver was polite and friendly. The General Tso’s chicken was amazing, and the crab rangoons were the best I’ve had—just remember to ask for sweet and sour sauce if you like that pairing. “I DoorDash regularly and have done dozens of deliveries for Peking Chef. Ya know, sometimes the woman at the front is a bit cold, but I also have to remember that she is working her butt off in there and handling all sorts of things at once. I’m sure it’s exhausting working so hard for the entire day, 5-6 days a week. Sometimes I have got upset, but at the end of the day we are all on the same team. Food always looks good when I bring it to my customers and they are popular from what I can tell. They didn’t accomplish that not making decent food…
…also, my orders are 99/100 always ready and on time, which in the doordashing world, is crucial.

“They are my favorite Chinese restaurant! The food is always delicious, and the service is consistently great. Their Krab Rangoon is by far the best in the area. I hope they continue providing the best food in town for years to come. 🫶🏽“

“Best Chinease food in the area! Fresh all the time. Great dough for dumplings, won tons, etc. Fast, and friendly young man @ the cou ter. Prices pretty decent. Generous portions.

Vegetarian options: Won Ton soup is loaded with wontons, freshly made @ lunchtime. Best egg fu young I've ever had. Plus the vegetables are cooked perfectly every time.

Parking: In a busy area but parking is right on the side. Also, Hazel Mart gas and convenient store is right across the street!

Kid-friendliness: Small waiting area, no tables or anything, but very fast hard workers. Bubble gum machines, and super ball, toy.25/.$.50 machines, they look out the big windows sitting on a bench.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get a chair in there's a small bump, but very small.“

“Fine Chinese restaurant with the typical dishes available. Staff is friendly and the service was good and quick. Only reason for 4 star instead of 5 is I did feel like this place has slightly higher prices then some others I've been to.“

“We ate crab rangoon, walnut chicken, spare ribs and lo mein. Food was very good and very affordable. I could prob feed two people with one order of food.

I recommend the walnut chicken for creamy nutty and sweet/savory dish, the type that melts in your mouth like that one ratatouille scene.

And the complimentary soup that comes with the lunch special is great way to cleanse your mouth for another refreshing bite. Will come again“
