“Amazing home cooked food items. The meat pie was incredible and the desserts were fantastic. My only problem was figuring out which dessert to buy as they all looked so good. They have a fabulous green house as well. A great selection of plants to choose from.”

“We were looking for a celiac safe place to eat and this came up in a search. What a great place, that supports local fishermen and farmers. The take care in the quality and preparation for a celiac safe experience. The food was fresh and service was great. My oldest who is celiac and I had fish and chips (regular and gf) and my other daughter had a regular chicken ceaser wrap. Thanks for a great lunch!”

“A family run restaurant- Grampa fishes, grandma and mother cook in the kitchen, daughter is the server. This place is the best kept secrets in PEI. The locals love it, and the tourists are finding out it’s the best lobster roll, potato salad, fish tacos, chowder, etc. you are going to find. The service is top notch from Brooklyn as she is a total sweet heart and is literally running all day from table to table! Everything is prepared in house. This is food prepared with love that only a family run restaurant can provide. Come try it and see for yourself. Tell them Chris’s sent ya!”

“Ok!!! Let me start by saying that we had a mixed group of 15 individuals from Ontario, Montreal, Halifax, Fredericton and NL. There was a mix up in a reservation (we were at wrong restaurant lol) and there was no space inside. The girls there, manager I believe suggested a small place on their deck where they put up a wall for us to block any wind, which was great and beautiful at the same time having an exceptional view of the water. Ok, so now 15 people how quickly and good will food be. These waitresses were like nothing we have ever seen, worked together, drinks came fast with smiles. Appetizers came shortly there after and then the mains, near perfect timing. Then the food! No question, best muscles I have ever had in my life and I’ve ate a lot of muscles!! The fish cakes, the lobster Mac and cheese, the salads, unreal!! I hope whoever owns this place appreciates and realizes the great staff they have, because they were perfect in every way and same for the chefs.. We have all ate in lots of restaurants and this is a must if you’re heading to North Rustico, you won’t be disappointed!!! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is nice, and the view is just as good. A perfect date night. And when she offers meals to-go, you can re-create the culinary magic at home with just a simple re-heat. So yummy!”

“We absolutely loved our meals (yes, we went more than once during our time in PEI)! The garlic fingers were amazing, and the bacon-cheeseburger quickly became a family favourite. “Me and my 5 other family members stopped by at Avonlea Village and were hungry. We got seated right away, with water shortly after. We decided to split 2 pizzas, the Fungi E Gorgonzola and the Siciliana. They were amazing and took such little time to make! They were so good we ordered another, the Margherita.
