“Awesome lunch here. We got the red snapper which was great, filleted in front of us and came with fries. Staff were friendly and probably a fair price. Would recommend here for sure and to make sure to check reviews before eating in cascais as we nearly missed this place!“

“Location is worth it for the view of the beach. Very friendly service. Reasonable food. Very tight spaces. The restaurant is on top of the wall so there isn't much space. Not recommended on a hot day. It's a good restaurant to leave the beach, have lunch and return.“

“Fresh bread, relaxing and casual atmosphere, and my moules were so good! My boyfriend ordered meat and was not disappointed either. Favorite place in Cascais. I will definitely return next time I’m here.Ps. If I could wish for one thing, that would be sweet potato fries!“

“An incredible find for those seeking authentic, delicious Portuguese seafood dishes. Alex, our server was outstanding and attentive. The Lemon mousse was a perfect follow-up to the pan fried grouper and paella. An excellent choice for those seeking a break from tourist traps!“

“The restaurant is situated by the sea - we went twice running. First night we had the padrone peppers and the grilled octopus. Second time we have the padrone peppers again (delicious!) sea-bass and grilled cod. All was delicious and service was excellent - highly recommend“

“I came for lunch here several months ago, and we had a great time, in an idyllic setting facing the sea. We returned this 24/3; I had fish soup and sole fillets. We had a great time. But a few hours after the meal, I suffered from violent vomiting and fever, characteristic of food poisoning, which lasted more than 24 hours.I don't like to leave this kind of review, especially when the food is good, the service attentive and the sea view just perfect... but given what happened to me, I feel the duty to report it.“

“Our tour group Collette brought us to this quaint little restaurant. We were so warmly accommodated. I felt welcomed and loved. The sour dough bread was Devine. Soup is highly recommended in Portugal. We had a cream carrot and green bean soup. Amazing! My main course was a white fish with a gravy sauce of onion and garlic with a side of baked potato wedges. This is beyond a 5*. Thank you“

“While visiting Cascais, I came to have lunch at the Vela Azul Restaurant, a small, family-run space where traditional Portuguese food, especially fish, is the house specialty. The starter came with Bread, Toast, Butter and a Fresh Cheese. The main course consisted of tasty Grouper Fillets accompanied by naughty Tomato Rice and perfectly well prepared, full of aroma and flavor. I also ordered a Mixed Salad which was generous and well seasoned. I accompanied the meal with House White Wine and finished with a homemade Queijada. Meal around €26 per person. I recommend!“

“I have already left a review for the hotel without knowing that I could also review the restaurant individually. Therefore, here is my rating for the restaurant. The sushi was the best I've ever eaten. My wife had sushi for the first time and was also fascinated. After that, I couldn't eat sushi in other restaurants for a long time. The service was excellent. We arrived for dinner quite late, around 10pm, and there was no one there. We politely asked if we could order anything else, and the waitress and the boss had no hesitation in preparing everything and making room for us. The service was first class, we never felt unwanted or pressured. On the contrary, the waitress was very attentive. We ended up paying around €85 for a large platter of sushi, white wine, a bottle of sake and a coffee. As we found the service great and it was our last evening in Portugal, we gave just over €100. I wish the hotel had been as attentive as well. Many thanks to the team and see you soon.“
