“Y’all! This place is so beautiful. The furniture is comfortable. The lighting is flattering. The service is excellent. The wine selection is fantastic. The view is great. Yes… I said all that without even mentioning the food yet. The sushi so fresh and beautifully presented. And it’s delicious with some very unique flavor combinations. We had an absolutely wonderful experience here.“

“Very good site. 2 spacious and very elegant rooms, very good service and very well prepared food and lots of quantity. We left very happy and we will return.
You can try many typical dishes of the city but it is not a tourist place packed with people. Very good experience“

“Nothing particularly interesting in this francesinha and in this space. Maybe it's a matter of taste, but the sauce is extremely spicy, which I don't like and doesn't allow me to fully taste the other ingredients. The sausages were nice, but the steak was too rare and dry.
The service is relatively fast but quite depersonalized. When we arrived, we waited 10 minutes at the door without any type of interaction from the staff who completely ignored our presence.“

“Very pleasant restaurant, a great atmosphere, we were able to taste dishes accompanied by port which were very well recommended to us. There were 3 of us wanting to share everything, we ended up keeping everything individually because it was so good! Thanks, we’ll be back soon ?“

“A very nice place, very attentive staff. The worst thing was the wait because since the restaurant was small we had to wait a long time.
We had a luxurious dinner of grilled cod and octopus with baked rice that was brutal… highly recommended.“

“It has some good francesinhas.
It's a shame they don't have vegetarian francesinha, which they already serve in many places.
They have other dishes, both meat, fish and even vegetarian.
The service was good.
You need to go early, otherwise the wait might be a little long.“

“Great waiters, good location and live music on the street. We ordered the blood sausage broken eggs, which were spectacular, and the wild boar, which was dry, not recommended. They charged us €5 for the cutlery and the prices were high for the food we tried.“

“First day in Porto and immediately an unforgettable dining experience at Pátio 44. The staff was very kind and the service was quick. The presentation of the dishes was taken care of down to the smallest details. We followed the staff's advice and tried an appetizer each and a main course. The menu, as I understand it, varies depending on the seasonality of the products. Trust their taste: the chefs really know what they're doing! Each dish was balanced, fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend it to everyone.“

“Hidden gem in the city centre!!! Amazing and truly authentic Portuguese food, with very kind and attentive service. It’s like eating at a Portuguese friend’s house but better!!! Order the dish of the day, it will be delicious no matter what it is! Had the grilled sardines and they were soooooo good! The duck rice was also incredible. I highly recommend this place if you want to avoid the touristic places and eat great traditional food in a quieter, local street!!“

“On August 6 we met the restaurant Brasão Aliados, it was our first time there, we arrived at the restaurant without having reserved, they welcomed us directly with a smile and accompanied us to our table.
We ordered 2 cocktails as well as 2 drinks, 2 francesinhas, a portion of fries and starters. It came to us at €59, it wasn't expensive at all and the wait wasn't long.
The waiter Augusto was very cheerful and pleasant, we felt very professional on his part with a desire to do his job well. A very good person, thank you for serving us so well and for your kindness.
We had a great time in the restaurant.
We will not hesitate to come back, 100% recommended place.“

“Very pleasant place to have an aperitif with the late afternoon sun on the terrace. The interior is very welcoming and original. We liked the vinho verde, but beer was very popular on the terrace. Nice neighborhood place where you don't feel too many tourists (even if we were!). Great!!!“

“Very nice place! The person who attend us was nice, even in the last 45 min before closing. Thank you! He served us very well, recommended us... Food was delicious and local style, vegetable soup was surprisingly delicious, I also tried an amazing flan / pudding, hand and home made. I would like to repeat to try the main dishes, and we only tried what remains as kind of Portuguese "tapas". Totally recommended.“

“My wife and I had a great wine experience here! Very down to earth, yet knowledgeable hosts. I tried a crazy good white port wine here, the 20yo vintage white port. Prices are very reasonable, around 6€ per glass. We had 5 ports altogether, for the price of 42€, and we got some of the more pricey ones. You can sit outside, or inside in comfy and atmospheric tables. A must if you're into wine at all. ? Cheers to João, very cool host!“

“We used viamichelin website for a restaurant in Porto and found Apego. It was a good decision to go here, we enjoyed it very much. We took the 5 course tasting menu with pairing wines. Each course we found very tasteful, with the pairing wine further elevating the flavors. To us the key world was balance. Each course fitted nicely with the predecessing course. The crew was very nice, taking time to explain every dish and wine in both Portugese and (perfect) English and making us feel at home. A place we certainly recommend as the people here understand what tasting and pairing means!“

“We went to Aveiro on purpose to try the famous francesinha at Bufete Pós.
Personally, I loved the atmosphere, the service and the francesinha was 5*.
A typical restaurant (as it almost doesn't exist anymore) with lots of friendliness and quality.
It was at the top.
To be repeated without a shadow of a doubt.“

“If you want to eat quality Portuguese food this is your place. The place is small but has a lot of charm. The cod is exquisite and the dishes are hearty.
The impeccable service, the treatment is unbeatable. He removed a plate from us so that it wouldn't get cold on the table, even when we saw that there was a lot of food, he removed one of the plates without a problem.
The key lime pie is delicious.
If I return to Porto I will repeat.“

“Someone said that this is an insider tip... totally right! Delicious food, great location and super nice service. The homemade lemonade was great and the risotto was highly recommended. The three of us with two small children only paid €70... crazy!
Vegetarian options: There are some.
Parking: The parking situation in Porto is chaotic anyway. Everyone parks where and how they want and no one cares about it.
Kid-friendliness: Super sweet, just like in all of Portugal.“

“Food was very good and excellent (local blue fish and the salad—yumm!).
“Discretionary” tip is not discretionary; it is on the bill (listed clearly), and that is what is charged (10%).
Extra treat at the end of the meal❣️
Love the place, will eat here again.

“Whenever we happen to get to Porto, we never miss dining in this excellent restaurant. Last time we went back twice to eat the same - they were so fine: grilled octopus (the best in my life) and salmon. The staff is absolutly helpful, kind and cheerful. The background music is cute. The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxed. The prices are reasonable. Warmly recommended.“

“It was well worth diverting my trip just to have lunch here as I would say it's the best restaurant I've been to in Porto. The service and location are impeccable but what shines is the food, as it should be. We ate croquette, carrot, beetroot and tartar and everything was surprising, delicious, subtle with each flavor just right, and that is a mastery that few achieve.“

“An address to share, for the summer (very beautiful terrace with a view of the Douro, unfortunately closed) as for the winter, the interior being cozy with tables a little far from the other guests to enjoy the moment. Note a beautiful large round table inside with a view.
Very pretty card, with elements to share, or not! We fell in love with the veal tartare, and the excellent blood orange dessert. Very kind and attentive service.
Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian dishes on the menu“

“Stumbled on this place. Wow! Authentic and ridiculous value for money. There's a meal here called Rocket dish. Thought it would be a salad. Turned out to be the best pork dish money can buy at €3. Bar man is a legend too. Didn't stop and gave us top advice on each dish.“
“Bad weather, so eating inside on the second floor of the hotel. Nice room with quiet atmosphere. Menu was interesting, definitely not for children, though. Very reasonable priced wine list. Attentive service with a sense of humor and the server had excellent English language skills.“

“So grateful to have discovered this little gem. This kind of authentic restaurant has become rarer in Porto over the last years.
What makes it so special, besides the fantastic food, is the fact that Miguel runs this restaurant as a one-man show. He stands behind the kitchen and serves all the tables. Dinner started with a delicious fish soup, and then I chose the “polvo cozido” (boiled octopus), which was super fresh and delicious.
For dessert I chose the “pudim” which was also delicious!
I will definitely be back. Don’t be set back by the 60-70’s style interior design. The food is authentic, everything homemade and fresh for very fair prices.
Unfortunately my phone’s battery was empty, so couldn’t take pics.“

“Had the set price lunch menu which included wine or beer. Served by Julia & Natalie who were welcoming, helpful and respectful. Food was served quickly and was good quality. Just right for lunch. Nice setting in old cobbled non tragic street location. I would recommend.“
“All opinions here are personal, therefore... Great bar, excellent place with good people, great service. It's worth experiencing. Remembering that it is a bar and sometimes crowded, things can sometimes take a while, but it is worth the experience.“

“As good as hyped. Food is very tasty Francesia has a wonderful balanced spicy and indulgent sauce. Chocolate cake is nice pure chocolate and goeyness as hyped. Do take the port recommendation.
We essentially trusted the owner on suggestions and were well rewarded. The table wine was a fair price and delightful. Would highly recommend and come again. Mind we popped in around midnight. The food on its own is worth it so very friendly service is just a big plus. Not too many foreigners either.“

“Leuk restaurant met veel 'to share' gerechten. 2 keer gegeten. 1 keer helemaal top, 2e keer duurde het wel langer omdat erg druk was en leek er minder controle. Dat was jammer. Bediening bleef wel enorm vriendelijk, dus ik zou zeker weer gaan.
Vegetarian options: Voldoende vega - opties met salade, kaas e.d.“

“One of these days we remembered the Nanda restaurant and the good fish fillets with tomato rice. We haven't been there in years and we're curious to go back. The works in the space really turned out well and the materials and light were beautiful,
There is still a lot of good traditional Portuguese food, and great service too - but unfortunately it is no longer a restaurant for Portuguese people with Portuguese prices as it once was... and on this day we were even surrounded by tourists - as they don't mind paying these prices. And not having house wine was a bitch.“

“This restaurant and the owners are just amazing! The location is charming and we had a lovely table facing the street. People would stop by the window and look at our food which was probably the best Italian food we’ve ever had. The warm welcome by the owners as well as every item we ordered was outstanding. You receive fresh bread with olives and olive oil as much as you desire and it was scrumptious. For appetizers, we ordered a salad and chicken meatballs, and they were very delicious. For dinner, we had the salmon, Bolognese, a veggie pasta and they were cooked to perfection. The absolute star of the meal was a mushroom pasta: it was decadent and like no pasta we’ve ever tasted! The owners ( husband and wife) were SO sweet! We cannot wait to come back to Porto and eat at this absolute gem of a restaurant again!“

“The lady who served us Fernanda was so sweet and genuine. She’s one of the best waitresses we’ve had on holidays so far. She was polite and always smiling. She was friendly and professional. She made our experience wonderful. The waiter who provided us complimentary wine was also great, very friendly. Everyone we interacted with was lovely. Views and ambience was great, food was delicious, only downfall was portion size. The lamb my hubby got was super small considering the price. Overall it was a lovely dinner though.“
“Delicious ! The products are of quality and the welcome is very friendly ? We enjoyed this meal with the bruschetas and pastels de nata ✨ We spotted the place because there were premises on the terrace in the evening, not missed, it's validated !!“

“The food is pretty good, but if you want cod… it's not the place. Original flavors, acceptable service and a very good atmosphere.
It is at the edge of the corridor in the Ribeira. A place to enjoy. I advise arriving before two or after three thirty. If not, wait for a table.
A curiosity. When you enter the premises you can see the floor below through the floor.

“A must try in Porto!
We booked a meal at Flow for the last night of our holiday in Porto and it was excellent!
It is a beautiful restaurant hidden away off one of the cobbled streets. A lovely interior theme to it and great ambiance.
The food was delightful, we had starters, main and deserts and all were delicious. Standouts on my meal were the chestnut fondant served with the pork and the peanut and salted caramel cheesecake!
They had many staff on, who were all attentive and we were mainly served by Rodrigo who was very jovial and friendly!“

Delicious dishes, of course I expected something good but not to eat so much good, definitely the best pasteis de bacalhau in Portugal. “During our stay in Porto, my girlfriend and I found this small, traditional restaurant. It was cozy, a bit noisy, but the food was really delicious and very affordable. The staff was friendly, and even though you might have to wait for a table, it's definitely worth it. A true hidden gem!“

“What a hidden gem this restaurant is! The outside doesn't do justice to what's inside. And what's inside is a wonderful host, smiling people, good food and beautiful plants along the windows. If you like Portuguese cuisine (and you know you do) you will enjoy stopping at this place. Amélia's Kitchen is a great place for dinner - very private and peaceful. “Only getting around to writing this review now but would highly recommend this hotel. My husband & I stayed a the grand for 4 nights over Easter & it was just great. The hotel is very grand, spotless clean, central & the staff are all so lovely. The breakfast had a good choice & we had booked a suite which was so worth it as we never heard a sound & we slept well. The rooftop terrace was getting renovated when we were there so we didn’t get to see it but there is plenty of lovely areas to sit & enjoy a drink in the hotel. Would definitely stay here again if back in Porto.“
