“This review is from our trip to Portugal in June 2023 where we accidentally stumbled upon this cute family owned restaurant. Honestly this was the best food we ate in Portugal and even most of Europe, we still think about it to this day. The owners are so friendly, and take extra special care with the presentation and atmosphere of their restaurant. You MUST come here if you’re in Sintra, it will not disappoint. I believe food is a powerful way to express and share culture and we definitely felt that at Tira Tapas! The Baba Camelo dessert is amazing !!“

“Located next to the station, in a nice old building. The salads and sandwiches were great and very tasty even for my pocky kids. I really fancied a local soup, the soup of the day was not of my taste. The owner lady was so nice to make a special apple and spiced soup, just for me. It was so nice, we really appreciated the hospitality. The interior is decorated with local flamboyant and colourful ceramic pottery and souvenirs, which can be bought too. Really enjoyed the experience.“

“Really happy with the food here, kept ordering their dish of the day, had their horse mackerel yesterday and the rabbit cooked in red wine and it was just delicious. It’s more like a simple home cooked meal and their soups were hearty. Will happily visit this place again when in the area“
“I was in Sintra visiting the Pena Palace and the tour guides highly recommended Tulhas, especially if you're looking to try seafood rice and I was! The restaurant is small and tight, decorated with tiles and wood, located between the tourism office and San Martin Church. The seafood rice was good, filling and hearty, though I would recommend this dish only for fans of seafood.“

“Très bien après avoir visité le quinta da regalieira. En contrebas du palais national de Sintra. Plat du jour ( Poulet au four, ou brandade de morue) à 12,90€. Service pas très rapide mais je pense que c'est parce qu'ils préparent tout en direct et maison. Toilettes très propres. Font aussi des Steak, burger,...“

“I will say one thing, we were trying to decide on the order, no one came up to us, they gave us cards, took drinks and disappeared, when we finally came up it turned out that from the entire menu you can only order from the first small page, in general it’s not right, but I recommend the place, The color is definitely consistent, I wasn’t able to try it, but the place is interesting“

“The food is prepared with care and cooked to perfection. I recommend the beef cheek with gratin. The fried seafood mix is also a great pick. Service can be slow due to being overcrowded, yet it is worth the wait and the staff is kind and professional. This location has both interior and exterior seating, keep “

“I went back to this restaurant yesterday with my fiancée because we had enjoyed it the last time we went there. It didn't disappoint once again. On the contrary. We were very pleased with the food and service, which makes it one of our favorite Indian restaurants in the Lisbon area.“

“Delicious vegetarian food. The presentation is beautiful and the dish is very tasty. There are several options available. The menu is the dishes served on a large table and they explain what each one contains, suggesting according to what you want, there is a starter and the prices are the same. Interesting.“

“What a delicious açaí, everything with perfect açaí flavor, chicken drumstick with catupiry, chicken pie with catupiry, coconut brigadeiro. Perfect service, polite people, lastly the value of everything is super. I will definitely return to the açaí tribe whenever I return to Lisbon. I highly recommend it.?Parking: Parking at the door of Tribo do Açaí.“
“Tradition, the best homemade and endearing food.It is the most authentic you can find, we have been coming to eat for more than 10 years every time we come to Lisbon, run by some very nice older people. Don't go in a hurry, good food takes a long time to come.“

“Really tasty food, very friendly owners who were very welcoming! The menu had a large variety of meals - many gluten-free and vegan options as well as local seafood, meat and produce alongside a great wine and drinks menu. Wonderful night out.“

“Today I was in probably the smallest restaurant I've ever been to!However, the “Taberna Economica de Cascais” proves that the size has nothing to do with the cuisine and the feel-good factor! The sea bream was great, the steak was on point, the homemade Ginjiha was super tasty, and even the espresso was excellent!Super-friendly, family atmosphere and of course the rustic ambience in this very small, cozy restaurant, which opened in 1967, complete the experience!“

“Very pleasant space with the possibility of staying on the terrace on sunny days!I tried two starters: mushrooms à bulhão pato and falafel. Both well prepared and seasoned. Nothing exaggerated. My main course was the vegetable bowl and I can say that for dinner I was quite satiated. However, I couldn't resist trying the vegan dessert, chocolate and peanut butter cake accompanied by strawberries and ice cream. It was the icing on the cake. That same week I went back there and tried the chickpea curry. Which I also recommend, but by adding a little homemade spice, it gives it a great taste!!I also recommend it for non-vegatarians, whoever went with me tried chili and feijoada and they both liked it.Vegetarian options: Bowl, bean burger... Among others“

“I order Açai from Oakberry 3-4 times a week via delivery. Açai is great and certainly the best in the Cascais region. But the delivery service via Uber Eats is very bad as they promise delivery in 15-25 minutes here in Cascais and in reality it takes 40-50 minutes. This needs to improve.“
“Bom Dia is an excellent local Portuguese restaurant in the heart of historic Paço de Arcos. The food is made with heart, always fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and attentive. On a street with many expensive options this is a great place to truly have a Portuguese dining experience.“

“I had the Açaí cup with 3 topping which goes for about 5 euros as of Oct 2023. Fruit toppings and some nuts always work well with Açaí. The quality of the Acai itself wasn’t that high. It was decent at best. But the combo altogether with the toppings for that price point is worth it Ona nice sunny day on Carcavelos. The two serves were polite and attentive. Service was quick and the cup was given tow within 5 mins.“

“A true hidden gem in Sintra. The staff is super friendly, and flexible too if you have specific dietary restrictions/wishes. The food is simply amazing, it's like there's a sprinkle of extra love on every plate! It's a cute, small establishment but definitely recommending to stop here for a drink and food!Dietary restrictions: My wife can't eat some foods due to sensitivities, the staff was more than happy to substitute elements of her dish so she could still enjoy!“
