“We fell in love with this place, they have a great selection of food, wine and beers. The best part is the themed nights: Monday is comedy, Tuesday is swing, Wednesday is quizz, Thursday is live music and Sunday is improv.

“Amazing hotel. My family couldn’t stop raving about the showers (if you know, you know)! Very elegant with lots of little amenities and touches (for example, I love how the light switches are all connected so that one turns out all the lights. No need to walk around and turn off every one individually). The restaurants in the hotel are all top notch (the streak at Maggie Oakes was to die for) and it’s in a great location. You don’t really need to ever leave Old Town as there is a ton to do within walking distance.“

“The Goldfish are addictive, and the cocktails always impeccable. This place specializes in perfectly balanced long drinks, in particular cocktails mixed in Mason jars, such as their perfect classic mojito. We've been coming for years; it's a mandatory visit every time we're in Montreal. In fact, they inspired a major part of our cocktail program at our own cocktail bar (RIP This End Up). I hope La Distillerie lives on forever. Chin chin!!!

“Le milky way est un magnifique endroit avec une bonne ambiance pour terminer une soirée entre amis. J’ai commander le drink Preach’s peach pour sa composition et le magnifique verre annoncé sur le menu (flamingo). Malheureusement, le drink n’a pas été servi dans le verre tant attendu. Dans ce genre d’endroit, la présentation fait toute la différence pour justifier un cocktail à 25$. J’aurais apprécier qu’on me renseigne que le verre n’était pas disponible ce soir-là. J’aurais probablement opter vers un autre cocktail à un prix plus modeste. Ceci dit, le goût était bon. Nous ne recommandons pas les spritz sans alcool qui sont à notre goût fade et simplement amer. Un ajout de sirop simple pourrait probablement balancer l’amerture de ce drink qui est normalement délicieux avec du mousseux, bien entendu. Pour terminer, le cocktail bleu dont je ne me souvient plus le nom était le highlight de la soirée. Je retournerais au MilkyWay pour retenter l’expérience :) Au plaisir,“

Best bar in Montreal, hands down. And trust me, we’ve done the research. Jesse had already clocked out, but still dove into the depths of the back room to find a bottle of Japanese whiskey my husband ordered. Man was off the clock and still giving 110%. Legend status unlocked.

And let’s not forget Shane -funny, welcoming, and clearly running on vibes and pure charisma. Between him and Jesse, this place is basically the Avengers of bartending.

The atmosphere? Immaculate. But the real MVPs are the staff. Friendly, hilarious, and somehow all have the vibe of your funniest friend who also makes great cocktails. They’re the heartbeat of this place. I’d protect them with my life.

“Super Nice place! The atmosphere is really pleasant and the shows are delicious to watch. The price of the meals is still high (2 X meals + 2 X beer + 1 X Virgin Ceasar) total cost of $400). “I went there with friends and the doorman was so nice, I shook his hand and he thanked us for being so respectful, the staff was great in general, we left generous tips to bartenders for being so professional and the cocktails were absolutely delicious, even the alcohol-free drinks were incredible. “It can be a quiet intimate place or crowded. It really depends on the night and if there is a big event in town. The bar tenders are hysterical. Sylvain and Johanne have been there for a long time and they always remember us when we come back which is once a year. The drinks and service are excellent. I have not eaten here so cannot comment on the food.“

“We went on a Sunday, it was busy for a Sunday night but the waitress did an amazing job handling everyone we never had to try hard to get her attention. There was a burlesque show that was fun to watch. The murder mystery game was a good surprise. Great for groups we had good laughs and really enjoyed our time. The drinks were so tasty and the Brie was amazing as well!

“Date night with wife. Walked in around midnight on a Friday and was seated right away at the bar. Bartender was super friendly. Made me a few cocktails that were off menu. We ordered the popcorn (crazy good) and the beef tartar (also very good). We had such a good time that we went back the next night and had the popcorn again and tried the kale caesar which was also outstanding. All of the cocktails were excellent on the menu as well. Great spot!!“

Après avoir expliqué la situation au gérant Sam, il me propose des shooters gratuits en compensation, ce que j'accpate directement! Malgré cela, il me sort de l'établissement en prétextant la fermeture du bar. Aggressivement, et sur un ton très condescendant, il m'informe que le bar doit fermer à l'instant, et que je dois quitter sur le champ... Je n'ai jamais reçu ce qui m'était du, et offert!! House cocktails, Sous Bois and Fleurs du Mal were nicely crafted and well presented.Very relaxed atmosphere on a Monday, wish the music was louder because it wasn't really memorable. One of the sinks was missing soap and lots of graffiti in the washroom. I know they want to support local artists but not really a fan of the works on display which were all the same style.“
