“You will be greeted by a superb smile, the atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful. The service is unparalleled... but all that is nothing compared to the quality of the food, it's fresh, juicy, tasty, the dishes are magnificent and all for affordable prices. A must if you are in Boucherville or the surrounding area.“
“J'ai jamais mangé des poissons aussi bons et cuits à la perfection! les aliments sont tous d'une fraîcheur exquise et les vinaigrettes des salades juste WOW! j'ai plusieurs coup de coeur dans ce restaurant comme le riz aux fruits de mer et la bouillabaisse et un service vraiment excellent!!“
“We stopped by Ma Poule Mouillée for lunch during a day in Montreal. We ordered the #8 poutine dish and asked for it spicy (large order). Service was fairly quick and seating was available (offseason, after prime lunch hours). The dish was served in a tin container with a covered top so you can take it on the go if you wish. The serving size was more than enough for two people. The temperature of the food was okay. For it being prepared right there, I was expecting the food to be hotter than it was. It was just warm and the cheese wasn’t all melted very much. The flavor of the chicken and chorizo in the gravy was great! I wish there had been more of it mixed in to the dish. Overall, it was good, but a few things could have made it much better! Still worth a try if you’re in the area.“
“My family and I just had our Easter lunch here and it was delicious and plentiful. Served in platters for 6 people we had chicken, lamb, fries and salad. Can’t forget the crispy calamari, very good. An intimate pleasant afternoon. Thank you to great staff. Definitely recommend.“
“They seemed pretty busy today, but they were still crushing orders. While I waited for my chicken sandwich, I saw six full chickens get picked up. The reality is that they deserve the business, the chicken sandwich was phenomenal and the fresh batch of fries right our the fryer were perfectly crisp and seasoned. My girlfriend and I both think this is easily the best chicken sandwich in the area.“
“We were a very large group and we had excellent service. We had order different appetizers to share, everyone ordered something different as their meal with a salad as well. all of it was delicious. Dessert had a great variety and was amazing. I ordered the grilled plate octopus, it was a nice big portions and as dessert, I ordered the passion fruit mousse and it was light and refreshing. Great variety of wines and Drink were also very good! I had a gin and tonic and almond liquor with lemon juice. We ended up staying until restaurant closed. Great place and will definitely return!“
“For those unaccustomed to crowded drinking establishments (i.e. me), the experience can be disconcerting due to the decibel level far beyond tolerable, where patrons and music s strive to bury each other under a torrent of noise. We were initially assigned two fixed stools in front of the downstream counter, amidst the hubbub. Having noted the availability of a charming little table for two in a more remote corner, I requested a transfer. I wrongly thought that we would be quieter there, but where there were fewer people, a series of speakers helped to overload the space with more sound. This morning, my poor sensitive ears made me pay for it with a sigh, an annoying reminder of the fact that with sound, just like with drinks, you have to go in moderation. On the other hand, my stomach was happy. The Henrietta bar gave him exactly what he wanted: delicious little dishes full of flavor and good cocktails, all at a relatively low price (total: $55 per person). An excellent beef tartare (my number 1 of the evening), a chicken liver mousse that my friend cleaned like you clean a jar of Nutella, popcorn with Manchego which was decimated one piece after the other and, finally, a fresh and tasty ceviche. Three of the four dishes were accompanied by thin slices of bread toasted to near perfection, crunchy on the surface, but tender in the flesh. However, their multiple presence seemed somewhat redundant to me and perhaps there was a “concept” there. My eyes weren't left out either. The presentation of the dishes was sophisticated. In addition, the dining room is clad in elegance with its white walls, globe lights and mirrors. We therefore find the same good visual taste as in the Atlantic tavern, another establishment of certain owners of the place. My friend and I naturally wanted to take advantage of the aesthetics of the place to take some portraits of ourselves, but in the dim light, our faces obviously didn't stand out so well!In short, advice to cushy gourmets like me who prefer a little peace and quiet, it would be better to go there shortly after opening, during the week, rather than at 9 p.m. on a Saturday evening (!) Despite the protest of my eardrums, I wouldn't refuse to go back in the summer season for the terrace and to taste other little delicacies: the cheese sandwich, the deviled eggs, the Portuguese sandwich, the oyster mushrooms...Vegetarian options: Eggs, salad, mushrooms...Parking: Squares all along the street. After 6 p.m. on weekends, nothing to pay.Kid-friendliness: No. We don't serve Kool-Aid.Wheelchair accessibility: If you can climb four steps!“
“The restaurant is located in a hotel identified as a Student Accommodation Center. Apart from the magnificent view of downtown Montreal and the particularity that the restaurant is rotating, it could do with a refresh, at least in terms of the chairs at the tables (at our table of 6 people, they were all stained). The service and food were good but the bill high considering the experience.“
“My wife and I found this place by accident. It's a little bit out of your main place but it sure does worth the detour. The staff are all Portuguese origin and the food is so great prepared right in front of you. It's like being in a little eatery in Europe. For appetizer the grilled sardines and the octopus are amazing. Fresh and simple of the grill. For entrees, my wife had the fish of day and the osso bucco was enough for two meals!Price and great for the quality you have. We are hooked and will become regular for sure. Highly recommended!!!!!“
“Loved the place! With I could've tried all the food! Staff was great and the vibes of the place are awesome! Gets full quick though! Many vegan and gluten free options. Definitely going there for my brunch again!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and veganDietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“The pork was wonderfully tender and the atmosphere pleasant. Very good Portuguese tartlets. The toilets were clean and the waiter friendly, but the service a little slow. We often had to turn around and wave to the waiter to get attention. Obviously, it's expensive as a place, but like almost everywhere in equivalent restaurants these days. Very good for a weekday business dinner.Parking: Free city parking in the back, but not very big and limited in time depending on the times of the day and week (2 hours, 6 hours). Otherwise, parking meters on the street, from memory, and a few places with restrictions in the surrounding streets.“
“Delicious Portuguese restaurant. Let's start with the house red wine which is offered at a very affordable price and is, in our opinion, very good. Then, the seafood and fish are delicious. Always cooking just right. Meat just as much. A good restaurant, VERY good value for money. And let's not forget to talk about the owners/employees who are all smiling and who make the experience even more pleasant. Fairly simple decor, but which puts us in the Portuguese atmosphere. A great discovery in Rosemont! Good tasting.“
“Pretty good not going to lie. I had the choriso (no idea how to spell that) and my dad had the pork chop. Both were really well seasoned and tasty. The service was super quick (we were the only ones there) and the server was friendly. They dont really have fries its more like thick chips but it is really good. They are thick enough for you to still tase the potato but they still have a bit of crunch, I love them. The portions were big and it was not too expensive like under 20$. The menu could be a bit bigger. Anyways, I would recoment trying it out. Oh yea, also we had the sardines, they were good, crunchy and tasty. Definitly would order them again as appetizers.“
“I live around the corner from this place and for 3 years, everyday I’ve walked by. Honestly, I’ve never been inside but the men always sitting outside, yelling at each other while enjoying a coffee always makes me feel right at home. Café Centrale, never change.“
“Good chicken ?I rarely eat meat, but I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the cooking and flavors of the chicken breast that I had. The fried chicken salad dish is simple and effective. The quantities are generous. Prices are correct.A good little place for grilled chicken!“
“Grab yourself a Hot/Spicy chicken sandwichMake sure you ask for DARK MEAT, add peppers, spicy (it’s their hot sauce)it’s deliciousTry their potatoes and chicken as well but that sandwich is greatAgainChicken sandwichDark meatAdd peppersExtra spicy sauceThank meLater“
“J'ai passé par hasard voir cette boulangerie pâtisserie qui est pleine de choix.Des pâtisseries, viennoiseries et du pain ainsi que des sandwichs, des salades et des boissons pour emporter ou pour manger sur place.Ils ont des gâteaux d'anniversaire à petit budget !“
“Before their staff was stupid….Since the staff changed I give them 5 stars for the service for a small restaurant like. Theirs is a1. The food I have nothing to say I travel from St Michel to their rental when I want to eat good, well-seasoned chicken. Their fries their rice everything cooked there is good One of the best spot in town“
“We popped into Restaurant Jano after we spied the board out front advertising chicken quarters. We were happy to see many other delicious entrees on the menu. I ordered what turned out to be perhaps the most delicious lamb chops I've had in my life (one of my favorites whenever I have the choice). The host was welcoming and made us feel relaxed right away. The bill was surprisingly small for such good food. I could not feel any better about this place. 6 out of 5 stars.“
“A cosy little jewel of a restaurant with the most delicious menu and very friendly and attentive waiters. Their pan cooked cod melts in your mouth and is my absolute favorite dish here. The seafood is fresh and amazingly yummy. The Portuguese steak is fantastic and their bbq chicken and salad is delightful. Deserts are simple but fabulous. The restaurant is very small but very cozy and it feels like visiting with family when you go. There is a lovely little terrace as well in the warmer monthsfor outdoor dining.“
“I went to this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. The portions are generous as can be. The sauced and grilled squid is tender and not at all rubbery. The Fisherman's Plate is a treat and a great way to eat fresh, grilled fish that is so tasty. Great service. It has to be redone.Parking: Depending on the time, it can be difficult to find parking on Saint-Laurent Boulevard.“
“Wow the chicken is delicious! We took it to bring to Sainte-Catherine and it was hot and good as if we had eaten at a restaurant! I really recommend this Portuguese restaurant! The side dishes were also very good! Their incredible homemade fries! The tartlets ?Worth the trip! Thank you so much!“
“Three people, Friday evening, without reservation (reservation for group only).Beautiful menu with low and high prices, the same for the wine list. Good eponymous beers.Fish 'n chip: nice portion, good breading and cooked to perfection, crispy exterior and tender and juicy interior, good fries, good tartar sauce.Cornish chicken: "obviously small", well grilled, good piri-piri sauce, although light. Unfortunately, too many small bones in this little chicken, I would have paid a little more for a real quarter chicken.Mini burger: good breading, good buns, not much taste.Small potatoes with cheddar: good portion, very bland.Green beans and toasted almonds: good portion, good cooking, very good.Salad: good portion, light dressing, good.Pastei de nata: excellent, even if I'm not a fan of cinnamon, perfectly cooked, so tasty!Lemon tart: good meringue/lemon balance, doubtful, at first, a drizzle of slightly sweet and lemony olive oil, it was finally perfect.Bolo de bolacha: good consistency, good balance of flavor, surprisingly light.Good atmosphere, not too noisy. Prices for all tastes, courteous staff.“
