“I stopped in recently and found the experience to be pretty easy overall. The atmosphere felt calm and settled, making it comfortable to spend time there. The staff kept interactions simple and professional, which helped everything move along naturally. There wasn’t anything that felt out of order or distracting. It was a straightforward visit that didn’t require much effort or adjustment.“

“I took my husband there for supper Saturday evening and as soon as we walked in, there was a fun vibe and good atmosphere. We sat at the bar for our drinks and supper. Our server was Raphael, couldn't ask for a nicer guy. He explained the different types of tequila we might like to try, so we went with his recommendation and enjoyed that part very much, lol. The food was excellent. Shrimp tacos, chicken panini. rice and of course some delicious guacamole.
All in all you can't go wrong there!

Nourriture excellent, sellers problem on availability commandé plusieurs types pour partager et ils ont amené tout en même temps et on avait pas de place sure la table. En plus les tortillas devenait trop mouillé parce-que ce nous prenait trois de temps pour les manger. Went for my birthday this weekend - absolutely amazing experience!

Not only was the food 10/10 (amazing spicy sauce maison, and best fajitas I’ve ever had), but the service, and the bartender’s spicy
Margaritas were second to none.

But the best part is that they have a grocery part with products that are kind of hard to find unless you live near those latino grocery stores in Montreal. Authentic and Mexican. “Tasty dishes and several products that I hadn't seen in a while. Fast service, perhaps a little too much because we don't always have time to savor and finish the starter or a dish to share before the rest arrives.Not many vegetarian options but possibility to adjust the dishes.Basically a relaxed atmosphere and we have a good time“

“My Fiancé and I went to El Gordo for the first time after reading online reviews. We were pleasantly surprised and agreed with the positive feedback. We found the atmosphere to be relaxed which was what we were looking for . The Sunday special for 2 of Chicken or Tofu Fajitas was our choice for our first visit ( but definitely not our last ) & we were very happy with it. It was delicious and a generous sizzling pan with the usual accompaniments of 8 soft Tacos , Pico de Gallo, Sour Cream, and Salsa . We chose a bottle of their house wine which was an Organic Bio Tempranillo from Spain. The price was very reasonable.

For dessert we had the traditional Churros and Flan and were happy with both along with an Americano/ Canadiano.

The service was exceptional, courteous, friendly , made us feel like honoured guests or family. We were especially happy with our server , Simon who is a definite asset to your Restaurant. He has the perfect personality for the service profession.
We would also like to give a shout-out to Malik. He too is great in the service profession. Personality wise, these two rate a 5/5 + 🌟⭐️

We will be returning and cannot wait for Summer Terrasse weather.

“REAL Mexican food, delicious and authentic. When I went through the door I felt the scent of a home made meal, took me back to my childhood at grandma’s house in Michoacán. My food was cooked at the moment and it was on the table surprisingly fast. I ordered “enchiladas Rojas” and they were the real thing! I asked for some extra spicy salsa, they brought red and green salsas, not too spicy but great taste, and the salsa macha is almost better than my mom’s. I’m going back with my kids to try the carnitas 🤤“

If you need someone to ask how your food is every 10 minutes, or if you need someone to leave you to enjoy your cocktail for 20 minutes, she’s got you. Beautiful and elegant, 10/10. “This place is amazing. We were taken care of from the time we booked our reservation for 11 to changing the amount of people (quite a few times). We were treated as though we were friends & family. We were seated quickly, able to order drinks immediately while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. Our waitress was so patient with us as well as so much fun. We were served our food quickly and it was delicious. Some of us even ventured in trying the brown (hot) sauce. The owner also came over to our table and gave us a round of tequila shots, delicious. These shots are one of their own recipes, we recommend you try it. We really enjoyed their margaritas, also a special recipe. We will definitely be back.“
