“We were craving Jamaican food, looked for a well-rated restaurant on Google Maps and ended up at Faybee's. Faybee's Restaurant offers Caribbean cuisine and has many Jamaican dishes on the menu. One of the cooks is Jamaican.
We had the jerk chicken, which was one of the best we have eaten outside of Jamaica. It is grilled over charcoal, which brings the typical taste. Well seasoned but not too spicy. The sauce is served separately, with extra spice added. You can adjust the sharpness yourself, which we found very good. There are also rice and peas and fried plantain.
The portion is generous with the included small salad. We also had festivals that were similar to those we know from Jamaica. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
Faybee's Restaurant is more of a snack bar in size. There are 2 tables for 4 people each and 3 seats on bar stools by the window. In summer you can also sit outside. The decoration is like a diner in Jamaica. A lot of it is take away, so there is a lot of coming and going, but it's fun to watch. Faybee's Restaurant has many regular customers.
We received a very hospitable welcome and service and had an overall pleasant and enjoyable experience at Faybee's Restaurant in Montreal.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes are also offered.
Parking: We came by bus, which stops almost in front of the door.“

“First time trying ox tail and I have wasted 26 years of my life not eating it the day i was born 😂 it was so delicious 😭😭😭 no wonder the lady that was there was so confident to make me try it right in front of her because it didn’t disappoint! Husband loved it too (who is by the way, a very picky eater 🥴) 10/10 ✨❤️“

“I've been thinking about this food ever since I had some weeks ago. I live about 1.5 hours north of Montreal, and this food makes me wish I never moved out of the city.
I love Caribbean food. I have tried every spot I've heard of in Montreal. I've loved two restaurants the most. One of them sadly closed down. The other place is this one.
I tried the Curry Goat, Jerk Chicken, Roti, Oxtail stew, pineapple tarts, Chow Mein and those awesome donut-like desert things and they were all excellent. I ordered all this at one time. I had food for days, but it wasn't enough.I can't wait to get back for more food.
House of Taste is delicious. Food has great flavour, no fillers, not oily, not overly salty. Taste like home cooking, and makes me miss my mom.
The service is genuine and friendly. The owners love what they do, and it shows.
Yes, you should eat at this restaurant. No, this is not a fake review.“

“Wow, waited in the car while my lady got the food. Did not take long at all , was not fast food at all ?. Fresh, tasty, hot & flavourful. We got a goat roti & doubles. The doubles were delicious, the chutney was amazing I think it was mango chutney. Gave it a nice sweetness but wasn’t overpowering. The goat roti was very flavourful, the goat wasn’t tough at all. Would definitely recommend & next time we’re getting a plate ??“

“A fantastic authentic Caribbean restaurant in Montreal ❤️ It is the perfect venue to host banquets and parties 🎉 We went for dinner and had Poulori for appetizers and each bite was just perfect ❤️❤️ For the main course I had the Dholl Puri with Boneless Goat while my partner had Jerk Chicken served with rice and plantain 🥰🥰 Each bite was beyond delicious with a huge portion size and we finished it all ❤️❤️ For desserts they had the topical fruits ice cream and we had Mango and Pistachio ❤️❤️ The service was great and the owners are always smiling and welcoming and answered all our questions 😇😇 A 11/10 restaurant to come with huge groups of family and friends and just enjoy the great hospitality 🥰🥰 Cannot wait to come and try other items on the extensive menu !“

“Super friendly place, particularly the guy running it. It's been years since I had a roti, and this place makes a really good one. Definitely worth trying out if you're in the mood for some Caribbean food. I'll be going back to get some jerk chicken and to try the fish cakes.“

“Had chicken rotis from Greenz and they are absolutely incredible - best we’ve ever had. Spicing was tremendous with its own personality. Chicken was super tender and the stew was creamy. I’ll be heading back for seconds. Recommended 200%!“

“Best Carribean food I've had in 25 years!!!
Took recommendations for goat rotie and I couldn't eat the whole thing, so delicious ? and homemade hot sauce (scotch bonnets??) was worth the extra heat! ??
Took the rest home for lunch or Kate night snack. Recommend you get off the Decarie for this.“

“Simply the best patties and food all the time, consistency is their thing! With an updated menu!
Ps their soup is crave worthy... any time I visit my friend off island I HAVE to bring her their soups. It's wanted all year round and especially when I don't feel well, just makes me feel so much better“
“Visited here on a return trip with my 14yr old to show him my go to spot for patties and Rock cake back in the 90's. Sadly though the patties aren't the same anymore but I'm happy to say the rock cake is just as good as I remember, you can still smell the aroma of them baking in back of the store just like I remember as a kid growing up. This is a must stop for me to grab a few packs of rock cake to take back to Toronto.“

“I've bought sushi from here a few times over the year, it is always delicious and fresh. Not all sushi places let you get a full vegeterian plate so it is appreciated. The place is small, but nice and I've never had any employees that were anything other than professional and kind. However, please do fix your opening hours because I walked 30min to get to you and arrived around 11:30 and you were still closed.“
