“It is a very popular spot, which doesn’t surprise me because the food was delicious. I got the pesto Benedict and it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, the staff was super nice, and we got our food very fast after ordering. My only ick is where we were seated. The table is way too low compared to the bench that it made it a bit uncomfortable to eat.“

The owners and staff deserve full credit for their warm hospitality and welcoming energy. While the entire menu is solid — everything is well-prepared and satisfying — it’s the vibe that truly makes this spot unforgettable. You’re not just coming for a meal; you’re here for a nostalgic experience.
By pure luck, I stumbled across this gem on one of my early morning walks while searching for a good coffee spot. I’m so glad I did. They open at 7:30 AM daily — perfect for fellow early risers looking for more than just a caffeine fix. 🫶🏻🌞

“Great breakfast spot with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was great and the vibe was enjoyable. The only downside was the long wait—almost an hour for my meal—which is why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. Worth a visit, but be prepared to wait during busy times! :)“

“Once again I did not come away disappointed. On the contrary, this experience that I received in this lunch place just reinforced my positive idea that I had for this franchise. Their dish was of the same quality. This to say excellent. The service was good although the waitress who served us unfortunately seemed more in a bad mood than anything else but I didn't let her ruin my time there definitely will go back.“

“Un petit déjeuner en famille avec un excellent service par Tina. Belle courtoisie, advenante, souriante, conscienceuse face à la réalité d'un jeune enfant. Elle a fait des petites attentions appréciée et qui selon nous devrait être un automastime en tant que serveur ou serveuse. Par exemple, elle n'a pas passer la carafe de café au dessus de notre fille, nous a donner son assiette avant la notre pour que son repas ne soit pas trop chaud, m'a donner l'assiette chaude pour que je coupe sa nourriture et qu'elle n'ait pas une assiette chaude pour se brûler devant elle. “Our experience at this restaurant was amazing. The waitress that was working on tuesday 12pm in particular was kind and fast. It wasn’t crowded and the ambience was really nice. As for the food, it was good and the portions were generous. I would definitely dine here again !“

“I live in Montreal and with all the buzz AM Breakfast was creating online I had to make the 6 hour trip down. Boy was i in for a treat, the second you walk in the door all the staff greet you with a smile. The decor and vibes of the restaurant are near unmatched for a breakfast spot. I would make the drive down every weekend if it wasn't so far but believe me the next time I even come close to Toronto I'm making a stop at AM for those delicious Dutch babies and to see the man, Chef Shane !“

“I didn’t expect such a fantastic breakfast! The roasted potatoes are hands down the BEST I have ever had at a restaurant specializing in breakfast items. Delicious, sweet and extremely flavourful. Prices aren’t the very cheapest but the portions are large so it’s deserved. Despite the restaurant being full at lunch on Saturday, they had enough staff and there was no wait time for a table.“

“I have been going to Cafe Souvenir for decades. It has always been consistently great even when the ownership changed a few times. While the former concept was fantastic with the passport menu and more choices than you could ever try, I love this current ownership and iteration of the cafe and menu. It’s owner run, so they know what they’re doing and the attention to detail is there. Warm milk with your coffee, omelettes brought straight from the pan, to name a few details I appreciate. They know how to cook; French from France style. So many restaurants in Montreal have gone up in price and down in value. Not Cafe Souvenir! They are doing it well and I highly recommend them. Great, friendly service. One of my regular brunch places.“

“J’ai fais mon shower à cette endroit. On avais une réservation pour 25 personne et tout a super bien été. Je suis contant d’avoir choisi cette endroit. On a super bien manger il nous on réserver un endroit pour qu’on sois tout ensemble malgré que ça sois un samedi et que cetais occuper. On a manquer de rien. Je recommande cette endroit a tout le monde. Merci encore pour nous avoir reçu pour mon événement.“

“Met a close friend for breakfast there. The service was excellent. My friend had a breakfast that was comprised of toast, half a waffle, eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. She loved it. I had two poached eggs and toast with a delicious yogurt granola, and fruit parfait. It was so good that I could have eaten a second one (I didn't!).
The coffee was free flowing and so good. We were pleasantly surprised because some breakfast places have bitter coffee.
It was a wonderful experience and I would go back there for breakfast again.“

“Ambiance décontractée et décor ludique tout à fait appropriés pour un petit-déjeuner / brunch de cet acabit (ça me change des brunches chez Boulud). Consistance dans la quantité et qualité des plats proposés depuis maintenant plusieurs années. Ma visite à la succursale du boulevard St-Laurent (coin Ave. Mont-Royal) a été marqué par une chose en particulier; la courtoisie et l’efficacité du service dispensé par un personnel attentif, charmant et très avenant qui tranche misérablement avec une hôtesse qui devrait être affectée, loin des contacts clients, à la plonge! Cette pauvre enfant semble éprise d’une sérieuse neurasthénie pathologique qui, selon moi, mérite une impérieuse attention (médicale ou autre). Malgré mon invitation à ce qu’elle arbore un sourire professionnellement cordial, au risque de nuire à une quelconque gerçure et à compromettre son regard de vaches qui regardent passer des trains, son comportement rédhibitoire s’est ajouté à sa triste prestation. En tant qu’ex-professionnel dans l’industrie hôtelière de luxe, en y songeant bien, cette employée ne mériterait même pas la plonge, mais plutôt la porte. Mais bon, il y a des employeurs qui aiment peut-être ça! Pas moi. Dommage pour les autres formidables employé-e-s de l’établissement; c’est une tache sur une toile blanche.“
