“An incredible place to have a good time. Incredible bistronomic food. Very good and affordable beer and cocktails. Chill and pleasant atmosphere. Smiling, kind and competent staff. Allow +- $100 but it's worth it (it varies depending on what you eat/drink)“

“Another exceptional meal at Monarque! All the dishes were perfect, from the smoked cod croquettes as an aperitif to the éclair for dessert.I highly recommend the butcher's cut (from the onglet), tasty, crispy on the surface and perfectly rare. The dessert was a perfect balance of flavors and textures“

“Le Serpent in Montreal presents a pleasant dining space, yet the ambiance falls short of expectations. The cocktail offerings are adequate but not standout. Culinary highlights include a well-prepared octopus appetizer and a decent Angus AAA steak, though the steak's presentation and value might disappoint, particularly with the sauce not served separately. Overall, while the food is good, it may not fully justify the price, especially for the steak.“

“Very good place. Impeccable and personal service, well played and diligent. This restaurant is not for the small budget though, check the prices. A suggestion: while charging $15 for a beer, it would be good to offer an original local micro beer, we have excellent ones in Montreal (Brewskey, Messorem, Toltek). Excellent food and worth the price (it's relative!). It should be noted that a very beautiful private reception room is available and welcoming for 50 people in the basement. In short, I recommend it for a chic evening before a concert or to mark a birthday, etc.“

“Small, friendly microbrewery, a little tight, and the products are not numerous, but the quality is there and the prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and the experience is interesting, it’s an interesting place that has its charm.“

“Excellent bar, drinks, service and atmosphere! Even though the place was packed, we were very kindly greeted and the staff did their very best to find us a table. The French fries were perfect! Overall, this was quite a welcoming and comfortable experience. Try the Yuzu Rice beer.“

“Really cute bar to chill with friends or play games. The terrace is very pretty and there's a lot of indoor seating. The menu is a bit confusing, but that's no big deal. It's well located to stop by when passing by the canal. The only downside was that the live band can get a little loud.“

“Great ambiance, nice staff, clean, spacious but crowded between [email protected] menu, vast selection even thu there's only one blonde beer option. I strongly recommend the beer taste before ordering a pinte. Next to metro Jarry. Parking on the street. Take the time to go to the restroom and enjoy the “

“Boswell is a solid brewpub. The food was standard, the fries were delicious. Served was animated, friendly, and efficient. The only comment I have is that the music was a bit too loud. There were times when I couldn't hear the people at my table due to the music being too distracting.“

“Super nice place! Great ambiance, friendly staff and amazing selection of Belgian beers. Even one from my local city in Belgium, which was surprising to see! We didn't get any water at the beginning, which was kinda strange, but overall a great bar that we'll revisit for sure! Can also recommend the Mac & Cheese, which was amazing (chef's kiss quality).“

“Thanks to their free wifi, they saved us to allow us to retrieve the codes of the accommodation we rented; codes that you only receive when you arrive and when you don't come from Canada, you don't really have a Canadian phone plan! In short, thanks again to the White Horse!!“

“Really cool place. We've never been to the events, but we really like the food, either for brunch, lunch or dinner (now I understand they changed their opening hours so please verify). Tasty and generous portions, with an effort to serve local products. The atmosphere is nice, gigantic place with high ceilings, making it easier to enjoy the moment than those packed places. We enjoyed the choice of music as well. We recommend!“

“Cozy place. Went for a private meeting. The place is beautiful. You can see part of the brewery from the windows, and it is next to the park and the canal. The bartenders were very nice. There's parking on the street and the next building in front of the terrasse.“

“My wife and I dined at Labarake on Saturday night - I think we got the last table, so best to make a reservation. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was very good: we couldn't make those dishes at home, but they weren't over the top pretentious either. Fresh ingredients, good combinations, great taste. Atmosphere was warm: I checked a couple times, all tables were deep in conversation, no one was looking at their phone!“

I took advantage of the terrace on a beautiful summer evening to find myself alone with a friend. From where I was seated I could see the interior of the bar and catch a glimpse of its signature design, and I figured I'll have to come back to appreciate it from the inside.I was able to enjoy a mijito without alcohol, very pleasant, very good service. The only downside is the fact that the Société de développement commercial de la rue Masson stubbornly refuses any form of pedestrianization in the summer, we were condemned to hear cars and trucks pass less than a meter from our table. It was then that I remembered why I preferred to enjoy a terrace on a pedestrianized street in the Plateau.“

“Belle découverte pour un brunch dans ce bistro super sympathique à l'image du personnel, dont notre serveuse Manon. Beaucoup de choix au menu déjeuner, dîner et table d'hôte. Les portions sont généreuses, les plats sont très bien présentés et servis avec un beau montage de fruits frais. C'était un pur délice au juste prix!. Merci encore Manon pour ton accueil chaleureux et ton service personnalisé qui est remarquable. On se sentait à la maison. Première visite et non la dernière.“
“Very friendly staff and very good service. The atmosphere is rather relaxed which makes it easy to have discussions with friends. The price of drinks is also very reasonable. The only small negative point: A renovation of the toilets would be a good thing to TO DO.I highly recommend and will return.“
“Started my gluten free journey after developing an unfortunate allergy, really enjoy trying new beers and drinking beer in general up until it feels like I’m burning and itchy after drinking one. After some research I found the entire line up, and tried the Blonde. It was surprisingly good, and tasted very similar to a local favorite of mine here in Texas. Can’t wait to try the others in the line up. I’m grateful I don’t have to give up beer completely and don’t have to settle for something that tastes horrible.“

“Great time with friends for a dinner on the terrace! The food is honest, the beers are extraordinary and the service unfortunately makes the place lose a star...Nonchalant waiter and not so much smiling that we have the impression of disturbing with our questions and hesitations...I will definitely come back to drink "a tree" of tasting because, I really regretted having only had one (excellent) pint seeing the magnificent selection of my friends...“

“This is my lovely local, been the go-to at the end of the night for almost four years. There aren't many other spots that are as absolutely reliable (opening hours+)& friendly, and I must shoutout the staff that are as incredibly on point & welcoming as any small town bed 'n breakfast. Antoine & Emy are beacons of light, always steering the ship into the shoreline. I couldn't imagine a better spot for a weary traveler in need of a last pint or several shots. Peace to Bea as well, and anyone else who's provided exceptional service! MAD RESPECK“

“I would definitely not recommend Brasserie Le Manoir St Jacques restaurant!! The staff did not acknowledge our presence. When we communicated with the waitress, she said that she would have to get the manager. When the manager addressed us, he was obnoxious and dismissively said that due to being short staff, they could not serve us. When we said that we would wait the 30 minutes, that he initially stated it would take, he came back to question why we were still there. He said it would now be longer than 30 mins. We were a group of nine black individuals who would have appreciated being addressed in a more hospitable manner; possibly offered coffee while we waited… All to say, it left a very bad taste!!!! Short staff or not, there is a more respectful way to treat customers. Proper training is REQUIRED!!!!!“

“The Henri Brasserie Française is usually always a sure thing for brunch. Everytime we come we always have a great time and experience & Mimosas are yummy. With those reasons we came for the Easter brunch. They had a special Easter menu and we ordered one of everything creating our own tasting menu, plus the seafood tower and an additional dessert. The seafood tower was a great way to start our meal. Including lobster, shrimp cocktail, and oysters that were fresh and perfectly clean and shucked.Easter menu:The rabbit croquettes were fresh and crispy but left a bit to be desired in the taste profile. It was more of a crispy mini arancini with I’m assuming bits of rabbit. Couldn’t really make any meat out to be honest I could only make out the rice. The rabbit must have been busy delivering Easter eggs because he was MIA in our croquettes. Also a very small dish, we got 3 croquettes total, and 2 of them were the size of a large marble, the third was even smaller. The dish was mostly shaved cucumber. The chicken and waffles were delicious. Chicken strips were fresh hot and crispy, waffles had a crispy exterior and soft and fluffy when you cut into them, and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. All drizzled with maple syrup. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender and rich, the mashed peas were very pulpy in texture and a very dense. It would have been nicer if the peas were blended with fluffy mashed potatoes. The bitter chocolate tarte dessert was refreshing with the citrus gel and wine foam.La goutte chocolatée was just the right amount of chocolate with the chocolate biscuit and chocolate cream mousse. A nice balance of textures with creamy and crispy with almonds crisps and cocoa nibs. The restaurant is beautiful with all the architectural details from the molded ceilings down to the stained glass. The service was good! Our server Dom was great and friendly, only opportunity was having to ask for a refill to our water glasses. To conclude we had a nice time as usual, but there were a few things that could’ve been better. Still recommend for brunch though, and valet is a plus who like hunting for a parking spot.“

“The food was all delicious. Appreciated the clearly labeled gluten-free options, especially the sticky toffee pudding desert made with a heavenly date cake base layer. The smoke screen was one of the smoothest variations of an old fashioned I have had, and the medium rare filet was cooked to perfection. It's definitely worth a visit.“

“We were staying in Place D'Armes Hotel (upstairs) and decided last minute to have an early dinner but had not made a reservation. There was bar availability for the two of us, as tables were of course all booked up on a Fri evening. We received engaging, attentive service from William L. as we ordered cocktails, dinner, wine and a shared dessert. Everything was delicious, from the savoury whipped butter to the steak to the creme brulee. Food was fresh, piping hot, beautifully presented and plentiful, drinks were refreshing. At one point, William heard us wondering about one of the bottles on the bar and gave us some info to check out a Quebec small batch distillery. It's apparent he loves his job and meeting/serving people. Not sure when we'll be back in Montreal to visit Brasserie 701 again, but we'll remember a wonderful evening dining here and William’s good care. Thank you!“

“Enjoyed delicious breakfasts here a couple of times and decided to try their lunches today. What an amazing surprise to discover their range of gluten-free options. Not just, remove stuff from your plate, but gluten-free burger buns (+$4) or lettuce wrap (+$2), gluten free pizza crust (10 in) and pasta (+$5), as well as a server who was knowledgeable enough to let us know that the BBQ sauce on the ribs had gluten and offer to serve it without. Also, to top it off, there was a gf dessert option!!!! So nice to be able to eat out with my family again and actually have a choice!Dietary restrictions: Great gluten-free options“
