We visited Brasserie 701 this past weekend and had a wonderful time and our waitperson, Melissa, was amazing! She has the perfect personality...cheerful, professional and a joy to be around. And our meals were "spot on"! And the restaurant has a great vibe with lots of friendly people and old-world charm...we will be back soon! Cheers, John & Jean
I was there with my spouse. The food was mediocre and the portions were small. There was not much place between us and the next person so we were not comfortable. Our reservation was from 6 to 9 but when we arrived they told us that we only have 2 hours. We accepted that. At 8, we were still talking and trying to enjoy ourselves when a woman who seemed to be the manager told us that the person who had a reservation for 8:30 is there so she wanted us to leave. The food is ok…but a bit bland. Portions are small and pricy. The service is bad. Workers are very rude. There is not a lot of space between you and the person next to you. They had a large space that was not used but they crammed the customers that were there. I was literally sitting super close to the person next to me. Avoid this place. There are restaurants in Montreal that are so much better.
