“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.“

Try a pisco cocktail and the dulce de Leche dessert (not even heavy to finish with). Personally we couldn’t hear any music and it felt a little cold. (We went on a Tuesday).“

“This is our 2nd time at Le Cartet. The waiter has such great memory and remembers our family. He is friendly and warm. We ordered Canton, Lac Brome and Nordique. All 3 dishes are excellent but Nordique stands out the most. I love the cream cheese spread and their choice of the smoke salmon. I love their coffee as well.“

“One of my favorite hotels ever!! Right in the heart of old Montreal, and a short walk to everything that Old Montreal has to offer. It sits on a beautiful cobblestone street, and is in an old, historic building. The rooms were beautiful, with windows that open to let in some great fresh air. I loved their little breakfast, which consisted of different breads each day, spread, cheese, and some cold pressed local juice. Just a top notch experience, and affordable too!“

“We decided to try Osco! for dinner after an enjoyable day of touring the city of Old Montreal. Our host, Rene, seated us quickly, even though we did not have reservations. Our waiter, Ivan, made some excellent suggestions for our entrees which we agreed to try. The food was delicious & Ivan’s attention to our dinner made a nice ending to an already perfect day.“

ITHQ has a nice location and staff was very welcoming.

The magret de canard was what you would expect of the dish. We had turbot with couscous and strawberries, which I found a bit too sofistaced. I think that real talent shows when you can work with a limited number of ingredients.

“Spent a week in Montreal. Visited over a dozen restaurants; this place was the most fun. The staff loved their food; tempting us as they sang its praises. Menu was gorgeous and inviting; food was top notch. Dessert was too good to pass up.“

“Such a hidden gem!! Waiter was great and the food and service was outstanding. We ended up having the Venison pot-au-feu style, which was this delicious deer with potatoes and veggies in a broth. We told the waiter that I love Pino Noir and so we ended up with a bottle of the Morgon. Will definitely come back next time we visit Montreal.“

“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“

“I'm surprised this restaurant doesn't have any reviews. We stayed at the Hotel Bonaventure December 30 and New Years eve. Made reservations at the hotel restaurant for 4 people both nights. Both experiences turned out to be excellent, however New Years stood out. The service staff is next to none like I've seen before in a hotel restaurant, they work fast, in team spirit and very intuitive to the diners needs. Very professional and knowledgeable staff. Our waiter Djamel was top notch, I'm sure its just a matter of time until he gets picked up by another restaurant or business. The food was very well presented and delicious. What made it more that just exceptional food and a great spot was the waiter Manuel. He has been there for 35 years and his service was extraordinary. I hope he is appreciated by the owners.
