Boulangerie Chez Fred Reviews
I went several Times with my small dog on my arms and have spent lots of $ for the past couple of years. The one time I went and I forgot to take the dog on my arms the asian woman kicked me out Even after I apologised for forgetting and immediately picked the dog up.
No signs or anything that says not allowed and still not my first time buying with my dog in my arms. Never going back not cause of the dog but cause of the rudeness.
Like having a baguette in Paris but with way better service. Staff is always kind, courteous and efficient. The croissants and chocolatines are buttery and flaky and their chouquettes are like eating buttery sugary air. A must try in my books
Everything there is fresh and delicious

Boulangerie Chez Fred is a charming French bakery in Sherbrooke West, offering a breath of fresh air with its high-quality, freshly-made pastries. The friendly and accommodating staff create a safe and classy atmosphere, with a pleasant aroma and no loud music. The bakery is especially known for its croissants, which are often described as the best in Montreal—crispy and buttery with a rich, custardy filling. Customers also praise the quality of the coffee, which stands out compared to other bakeries. The chicken sandwiches with onion sauce are very good, served on a real French-style baguette. The almond croissants are highly recommended, appreciated for their buttery texture, though the plain croissants are also very good. The sourdough bread received praise for tasting perfect, with a crusty, airy, and chewy texture. The bakery also offers solid chouquettes, burger buns, and an egg and cheese sandwich that many enjoy. Despite a smaller size due to shrinklation over the years, the taste remains consistent and comforting, making it a favorite for those who love butter croissants.
