I think the broth could be better, it tastes a bit flat. But overall, it’s good value to eat in and have a bowl of noodles, especially as the weather gets colder.“

Just be mindful the roasted duck has many bones which was pesky to eat but it was very fatty and juicy. “I ordered takeaway tonight from a spot on St-Denis in Montreal and was pleasantly surprised. I went with the large pork wonton soup (10 dumplings) and the hot & sour cucumber salad — all for $17.22, which I found very reasonable for the area.

The soup was flavorful without being too salty, and the seaweed pieces added a nice touch. The cucumber salad was also fresh and tasty, though personally, I would have preferred a lighter hand on the garlic (you'll see what I mean in the photo).

The interior of the restaurant is simple but clean. It was a quiet Tuesday evening, so the small terrace hadn’t been set up, which was a bit of a letdown. That said, the service was friendly and quick — always a plus.“

The dumplings served here were the closest any restaurant has gotten to them and they have inspired new ingredients to our own family recipe. The service is excellent, they even proposed setting up a background birthday song as we had the birthday cake. Will be recommending this place to friends and family.“

“I've always seen this little shop next to c&t and we finally got curious enough to visit it. It is basically a takeout place. I highly recommend the cold noodles (liangpi). I've never had it before but it is very delicious and has a nice spice to it.

We also tried the pork bun, but it wasn't particularly amazing. They charge $3 for as is or $4 to prepare it for you on the spot (aka toast the bread and microwave the meat).

The owner can communicate with enough English to explain the menu (but probably more easily if you speak Chinese).“

“Best Chinese food restaurant in Montreal for Beef & Chinese broccoli; Cantonaise chow mein; Chicken fried rice; Sweet & sour pork; and Lemon chicken! Since coming from Vancouver I have been searching for a good, tasty restaurant and I'm so grateful I found this one. As soon as I walked in the door on New Years Eve at 7pm, I was warmly greeted. Without a reservation, I was still seated promptly and served water and tea instantly. The servers were kind, friendly, and super efficient. The food came out within a decent timeframe considering how busy it was. It was all truly delicious. We ate enough to be full at the dinner table and we both had enough to take-out for full meals later on. I also appreciated the freshly cut oranges at the end of meal. A sweet way to end a great time here.“
