LEAVES HOUSE (McGill) is a super cute and student-friendly cafe that offers a variety of unique drinks, including the highly recommended Hōjicha Latte and an excellent iced matcha latte. The cafe has a great selection of alternative milks, including macadamia nut and pistachio nut milk, along with interesting flavored syrups. Many students visit to work, so it's best to arrive early to secure a seat. The pastries are amazing, including a delicious chocolate chip cookie and a vegan danish that does not disappoint. The cafe also provides gluten-free and vegetarian options, featuring items like pâté de legumes (savory filled patty), blueberry custard tarts, and Indian lentil pockets. Leaves House has done an exemplary job transforming its space into a bright and airy cafe. While tucked into the lobby of a corporate building, the atmosphere is chill and inviting, making it a nice space for studying.
