“Went to Montreal recently for a bachelor party and after one of the guys got too drunk, I needed to go out for a meal on my own. I found Diablos and it was the nicest surprise. The ambiance was exactly what I was looking and the food was delicious. For Montreal, it was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had.“

“I generally don’t like to complain, and in fact, this is the first bad restaurant review I have ever written. However, my experience with the management at La Milsa Laval was so predatory that I feel I have no choice but to warn others. We had a large booking of 23 people and paid a $500 deposit in advance. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, only 12 people were able to make it. While I understand that a change in group size can be an inconvenience, the restaurant’s response was completely unacceptable: They "stole" our $500 deposit and refused to credit a single cent of it toward our final bill. Essentially, we paid for our full meal on top of losing the $500, meaning the restaurant pocketed a massive amount of money for services and food they never provided. The Legal Issue To the management: You should be aware of Quebec’s Consumer Protection laws regarding "No-Show" fees and deposits. In Quebec, it is generally considered illegal for a restaurant to charge a "no-show" fee or withhold a deposit unless a specific contract was signed that meets very strict criteria—and even then, the amount must represent actual damages, not a flat-rate penalty. Taking $500 for 11 missing people while 12 others are still sitting there paying full price is a blatant violation of consumer rights. We were looking forward to a great night, but instead, we left feeling cheated. I strongly recommend avoiding this location for large groups unless you want to risk losing hundreds of dollars. We will befiling a formal complaint with the Office de la protection du consommateur (OPC). Quebec“

“Un immense merci à toute l’équipe de Aylwin Barbecue et en particulier à Annie. Nous avons reçu 36 personnes à la maison pour une fête. Plat traiteur pour emporter. Le professionnalisme, la qualité des produits, la gentillesse, le prix et surtout le meilleur barbecue que nous avons mangé. Tous nos invités ont adoré. Visiting from Toronto with my mom and two daughters. My kids are super super picky so for me I would have ventured to various restaurants in Montreal I decided to settle for something i can guarantee my kids will eat and im happy we did stop at chalet bbq.

“Very clean. Seems newly renovated but the ambiance and decor was exceptional. The food was freshly prepared. We had the vegetarian thali plates and the servings were generous for the price - all under $20.
The food was spiced according to our requests and the breads were freshly baked. Our server was attentive and well acquainted with the menu items.
Will definitely be going back regularly.“

“Visiting from NB and our cab driver recommended we try! We ordered the mixed plate with extra hummus, and halloumi plate. Everything was on point. Two of us could not finish the meal and had enough for both to eat for lunch the following day. Staff were friendly, environment was cozy. Highly recommend!“

“Fast food but on the healthier side.
I like that you several choices to create your meal to your liking.
It's rather affordable compared to other fast food restaurants.
The meal was a lot more filling than I would have thought. Ate everything around 1pm and didn't feel the need to eat in the evening. Probably because it still has lots of calories.
Tiny bits of the chicken were a bit burned but meal was good.“

“Very vibey inside like you're in a street market in Asia. Also each table feels a little intimate in setting and there are wall separators so it's not too loud.
Each table has a range hood it's not too loud and it's super efficient I didn't come out with my clothes or hair smelling. You get a bunch of side dishes you can refill unlimited and the food was all really good. Our bibimbap bowl didn't have the crust at the bottom but they corrected the issue. The meat all tasted really good. We also ordered a marinated meat but got the unmarinated and was charged unmarinated meat so nbd but I would say to double check your order to be sure it's what you got and up to your standard. They're accommodating.
Service was great, you can flag down any server and ask for what you need.
We got the short ribs, pork Jowl, pork shoulder. All delicious, different, tender. Various sauces too. Next time, I'd probably not get the bibimbap and just more meat.“

“Service was fast and friendly from the get go. I got the chicken breast combo with fries and salad. I had never tried Portuguese before, but that sauce was on point. “Staff are very nice and if you ask for the duck not to be chopped up, they'll do it for you, you can even ask for a different meat in place of the duck or pork with the 2 meat combo.
