The atmosphere was perfect.
The service was very slow when it’s about the main dishes.
Another thing happened is that, I added 5$ tip, however one of the servers didn’t like that and he told me politely that here we accept only 10% minimum as a tip. I didn’t like that reaction because after all he didn’t do anything special and I am free to use my money the way I like.”

“I have been going to Cafe Souvenir for decades. It has always been consistently great even when the ownership changed a few times. While the former concept was fantastic with the passport menu and more choices than you could ever try, I love this current ownership and iteration of the cafe and menu. It’s owner run, so they know what they’re doing and the attention to detail is there. Warm milk with your coffee, omelettes brought straight from the pan, to name a few details I appreciate. They know how to cook; French from France style. So many restaurants in Montreal have gone up in price and down in value. Not Cafe Souvenir! They are doing it well and I highly recommend them. Great, friendly service. One of my regular brunch places.”

“There is much to admire on the elegant, well-lit terrace of this natural wine-fueled, Catalan-inspired restaurant. Waitresses wearing plastic face shields as Hassidic men walked by in giant black fur hats created a vibe somewhere between science fiction and shtetl. But it was the creative, lovingly prepared food that I won’t soon forget: charred radishes, rotisserie chicken slow-cooked on a vintage rotisserie oven and grilled octopus with patatas bravas that momentarily transported me to the Spanish coast. All presided over by Lindsay Brennan, one of the best natural wine sommeliers in town.”

“Not helpful. Went in person three days prior to place an order for Mother’s Day. I was told that I could not order in advance, and that they stopped taking advance orders. Meanwhile the site states that I can. The person in charge told me that the site was removed. Meanwhile, the site is still there and customers were picking up their orders on Sunday morning.”

“It’s a very small branch of the Au Pain Dorée pastry/bakery!The bakery chain, which offers a variety of pastries and other culinary delights. They have a nice terrace for the summer and even now in the fall. Also inside we find a nice place to sit down, have breakfast, lunch or dinner, even for a little coffee...I tried their bocconini, pesto, arugula leaves and small balls of fresh mozzarella. A delicious and healthy mixture that makes us happy, their pesto is homemade according to the employee.”
