“I don't think that I've ever left a review at any restaurant I've ever been to but when I tell you as soon as I took a bite out of their food my face lit up. this was possibly the greatest steak sandwich I've ever had and the fries were perfect. there's really nothing else to say besides the fact that the staff was the best and kept checking if we needed anything, the food and drinks came out fast too. I would come here all the time if I didn't live so far away.“

“The food was fantastic. Specifically the surf and turf and the Mozambique sauce were excellent and the portions are very generous . The owner and her daughter were very friendly and the service was great. If you’re looking for good traditional portuguese food and a great family owned restaurant - I highly recommend this place. “Went to the Foxes Hill neighborhood in Providence to try out a Morroccan spot, but it ended up being closed. Luckily, right around the corner was Aguardente, which is a Guatamalen & Portuguese tapas restaurant. Love the interior decorations and warm welcoming vibe. We started with quejo de cabra, rellenitos, & the minha caiparinha. Then we had the batatas fritas, empanadas de pollos, polvo grelhado, & almondegas. Everything from the service to all of the dishes being seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing.“

“I loved everything at Barcellos! I went last night to have dinner with a friend. I had the chicken broccoli Alfredo, it was delicious. The moment we walked in the door we were greeted and made to feel genuinely welcome. The service was supreme and the food was perfection. I definitely recommend checking it out. I will being going back for sure!“

“This place is definitely a hidden gem. Can get busy during peak times so make sure to call as they take reservations now. If your ordering catering sized portions, the small sizes are huge. If you order the lombinhos, they will ask you if you want them fried or grilled. Most places around here won't ask, but definitely get the fried. The grilled are dry with none of that awesome brown sauce.“

“Place was super good. Wasn't expecting much when we pulled up but what a great place. Food was fantastic. We ordered a side of Cacoula recomended by another customer. So glad we did, fantastic!! Pancakes were great and our waitress was all over it. Great start to our day!“

“Excellent turkey club sandwich and fries. Didn't know how I was going to eat as it was packed with good plenty of turkey, bacon, cheese , tomato and lettuce. Also gluten free bread. Ladies room very clean. Friendly staff that all work nice together. Definitely will be coming back“

“Easter lunch with the family. Owner Paulo is great in service making sure all his clientele are happy. Food was so delicious. Had the baked stuffed lobster and the stuffing with that garlic butter season sauce I could eat that with just bread. Parents did buffet which was such a value. Definitely going to visit more often“

“I was taken to lunch there today and was blown away with their food. We ordered, well to be honest my friend ordered for me, their Bacalhau Gomes de Sa-sautéed codfish - meal & the Ameijoas a bulhao pato - appetizer and both were absolutely delicious. On top of that their staff were great and the service was second to none.“
