DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
My daughter and I rented jet skies next to the one in Narragansett and saw a lot of people waiting in line to order. So we thought that it would be a great place to eat. First the online prices are different from what they actually charge, you guessed it they charge more at the location.
We ordered:
1. One dozen Clam cakes- they were disgusting, No clams in them and greasy. We both took a bite and spit it out. I don’t think the oil was hot...read full review
We've been going to Monahan's in Charlestown since it opened a couple of years ago and have been loving it. This year, though, things seem to have gone downhill. On a recent visit, the clam chowder was full of sand and the lobster in the lobster roll tasted like it had been picked up off the floor or something - didn't taste like lobster at all. I hope they check this out and look into it so we can go back to enjoying Monahan's!
My clam chowder was good/decent but it bore a very strong resemblance to chunky canned clam chowder so for the price huge disappointment, my lobster roll was fair but had very little flavor and dry. They really skimped on the butter. Husband and I had both ordered the same and he strongly agreed food is a 1 star. Service excellent as you serve yourself and right on the water for a beautiful view. Save 100$ bring a picnic
