“I was here recently with one of my friends for a girls' night. We ate outside until it started raining. The bartender anticipated the rain and reserved us seats at the bar. The food was really good, but portions are kind of small. For it being a golf club restaurant, I was surprised by how reasonable the prices were. Even though it was very busy while we were there, the wait for food wasn't too long. I was pleasantly surprised to see a restaurant like this in my hometown -- a real diamond in the rough! “Was at Murphy's this morning for breakfast and if 6 stars was an option I would give it 10??????????. I ordered the Irish Breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. This was also the first time I had black and white pudding and I really enjoyed it...and yes I know what is in black and white pudding, but I don't care, it was delicious. The food came out in a very timely manner and was still hot, but not TOO hot. “A nautical-themed bar on Ives St, Captain's Seaweeds is a fun little bar. It has some elements of a dive bar, but I wouldn't really call it that. While they do have a pool table and fairly cheap beer, imbibers are generally from around the neighborhood, not really the typical dive bar crowd. I mean, there was a group playing with Beyblades when we came. They don't serve food, but there are a couple good options nearby and they'll let you bring in takeout. They do have an outdoor area when the weather's nice, but during the winter the bar tends to get pretty crowded. Lots of nautical themed decorations, which help give it a unique character. All in all, a good option if you're coming for a few drinks and then heading home, but it's a little out of the way if you're trying to bar hop or don't live in the area.“

“We stopped in on a Sunday at about 4:00pm because we had heard this was "jam" day. As I understand it, there are two alternating bands that let musicians/singers sign in and then perform in turn on their own instruments(except the drums for obvious reasons). I thought the band was good in all of its incarnations. There is a definite music theme throughout the décor. From the mural of rockers which covers an entire wall to the Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin base drums and the guitar shaped neon. If you wanted to watch the band and could not get a seat in the front room, there were a couple of cctv's showing the performers in the back and bar area. There is a full bar of about 20 seats with a decent selection of draft beer. When we were there the place was packed and the two bartenders were doing a good job of keeping up with the demand. There were about ten tables and no waitresses. You can order at the bar but I believe a sign is needed to direct one to the appropriate place to order. Food is available. The food, drinks and live music were all 10/10. The special egg rolls (Shepards pie) were AMAZING. We went with the intention of having an app & quick drink due to not living close by but ended up staying for about 3 hours. Will definitely be back!“
