“Blast off to Sci-Fi!Set back off Putnam Pike in the Pinewood Plaza in Glocester, RI you'll boldly go where no deli has gone before. As you step inside you're greeted by a mash-up of Star Wars and Star Trek memorabilia that would make a Trekkie feel right at home. My sandwich was a fresh and tasty reuben and I added a "made in Mexico/real sugar" Mandarin orange soda for a warp speed lunch to go. This was an unexpected fun stop that I'll visit again for sure.May the forks be with you!”

“The food is wonderful! Don’t miss out on the cheese, bacon, and potato kegs. They are super tasty. Maybe due to the lighting (there was a live show that night) The buffalo chicken wrap looked like coleslaw in a tortilla, but it had great taste, texture and heat. We can’t wait to eat there again.”

“Really good food and large portions. Service was slow, but they appeared to have just one server. One member of our group was finished eating before the rest of us even got our food. The fries were salty, just the way I like them. The fish was delicious!Definitely will return to try a couple of dishes that looked good. Just perhaps earlier when it isn’t so busy.Wheelchair accessibility: I didn’t see a ramp, but the stairs are wide and easily accessible. It was raining, so if there was a ramp, I just missed seeing it.”

“Enjoyed a delicious blueberry cheesecake muffin on my last visit. Everyone at the table loved their meal. It's not cheap but it's very good. Muffin and two eggs make a cheap breakfast option though.”

“I usually order takeout or delivery and 95% of the time it is delivered early, piping hot, and correct!! Our favorites are the spicy Italian and Aegean Special grinders, Greek salad with grilled chicken (Tons of feta!!). I will say that when there has been a problem that they make it right IMMEDIATELY and are very professional and courteous about it!!”

“The best homemade cheesecakes ever. Delicious with an assortment so huge l have a hard time choosing. My favorite is banana. I love the individual cupcakes. They are a good size. Not mini. The coffee served is a local roaster so that is a plus for me.The restaurant is a good size and there is ample parking in the back. Nice friendly service, too in a great rustic area to shop for antiques or a nice walk.”

“One of our favorite hidden gems. The food, service, and people are all amazing. The only thing we wish we could have as an improvement was a location closer to our home. Whenever we are in the area, we try to visit and are never disappointed. Whether it's the specials, lobster bisque, or the Portuguese Steak, you honestly cannot go wrong. “Amazing ?This review was from a year ago. 2023now I'm editing to add my review from this year.2024I couldn't ask for a better luck with this bakery! they make cakes to perfection. I ordered a cake a month in advance and was beautiful it was exactly what we were hoping for and more. we had a bad experience with a restaurant dropping the cake and we didn't got a chance to eat it, but after explaining the situation to them they were able to do a second cake, last minute, same day, it was a more simple one compared to the first one but I was impress and with endless gratitude because I would not expect any baker to make a same day cake and specially as nice as the one they did. they went above and beyond on the experience, the flavor of the cake is great and the detail they put on their work is amazing! could not recommend them enough!Thank you!”

“Pizza was uniquely fresh. The veggies were so clean and fresh. Not overcooked but cooked just right. Flavor was spot on. Obvious use of fresh herbs. I loved it. Some folks stock up on milk and bread before a snowstorm, we go to Socrates to load the fridge with Italian food. ?”

Particular favorites (that never disappoint): Shrimp Mozambique, Baked Haddock, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Baked Seafood Trio, and any of the steaks. The Fish & Chips is good, but not like Irish pub good; The Chicken Parm on the other hand coulda come outta a place with Chianti bottles hanging from the ceiling.”

“I finally stopped by today for a cone of ice cream and was super excited that they make homemade waffle cones....I got the chocolate one which was so absolutely perfect....I've had them at other places before but they didn't taste like chocolate but the one I had here was perfectly chocolatey.....and the purple cow ice cream was delicious ???? they have all kinds of candies also, candied nuts, fudge, etc....this place is definitely at the top of my favorite list now!!!! ???”

“Great way to spend some time before or after lunch. Was looking for a nearby place to do a wine tasting after grabbing lunch in the area. Thanks to our Yelp friends, we found this spot! After lunch we took a drive to a quiet unassuming winery in Johnston. Don't get me wrong, we were a bit skeptical driving down a sad lonely dirt road leading to the Verde BUT we were pleasantly surprised!! Keep in mind, we went at the beginning of the Spring season so it's not peak weather by any means! We parked and made our way to the wine tasting room - it's not as clearly marked but once you enter it'll be the door to the right. We were met by Jim, the owner. An elderly and whimsical man who is so proud of his craft! We ended up doing the full tasting at $12pp. Jim took his time going through every option they had to offer and was extremely open to all comments and questions. He showed us his method of smelling, swirling and tasting. We walked away with 3 bottles and a whole lot more knowledge than when we walked in. They do tastings Fri-Sun 11am-5pm. Great spot for a little wine tasting without the drive down south.”

Most items are very fairly priced, there are a few items that are a bit more expensive than I would think. But it's well worth the money, and well worth the ride if you're not from town. “Family friendly restaurant in a strip mall area off the highway. Super convenient for the indoor sports place next door as well.Food was yummy. Drinks were good. The interior has expanded significantly, offering plenty of seating while maintaining the charming, rustic atmosphere and small-town feel.
