I walked in and asked if I could use the restroom and the nice sushi chef brought me to the back of the kitchen and let me use what appeared to be a staff bathroom. I offered to buy something and he declined my offer and just said, “when you got to go, you got to go!” Thank you for your kindness.“

“I was struck with a rough virus this week (cough, cold, fever - the works) and I was pleasantly surprised to find a local soup shop nearby. Lily’s soups have kept me sane and fed! I especially loved the Chicken & Rice. The broth is very flavorful and rich. Highly recommend, especially if you’re battling illness.“

“AMAZING! Leanne was absolutely so nice and we go back basically just to see her and get the doughnuts. Cameron was our server and when I asked for more cheese he did not judge the mountain of cheese I asked for and when we asked for more chocolates, we go here now just for the service and food!“

“We almost missed this place again — tucked away on the mezzanine level, it is easy to overlook unless the auto rickshaw outside catches your eye or you are specifically looking for it. The windowless, dimly lit setting can feel a little claustrophobic at first, but once the food arrives, that quickly fades into the background.

We had tried Heng Thai about four years ago and had nearly forgotten about it until we spotted it again during graduation weekend. Despite being extremely busy for lunch, the service was excellent — quick, attentive, and friendly throughout.

One thing we really appreciated was the dedicated vegan menu, which makes ordering much easier for vegetarians and vegans. We ordered the Pad Kee Mao with chicken and tofu, Basil Fried Rice with tofu, and Green Curry with chicken. Every dish was flavorful, well-balanced, and properly seasoned. The menu clearly marks spicy dishes — and they genuinely mean it. There is absolutely no need to increase the spice level unless you truly enjoy heat.

Portions were generous, prices were very reasonable, and the food felt like excellent value overall.

The only drawback, if any, is the lack of waiting space when the restaurant gets busy. You may find yourself waiting on the staircase leading up to the entrance or out on the sidewalk along Angell Street.

Overall, this is easily one of the better Thai restaurants we have visited. The next time we are back around Thayer or College Hill, we will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.“

They were extremely busy.
I double checked my order from the car and was missing my egg roll order.
Without any hesitation the had the egg rolls out to me within 4 minutes.
Food was excellent and fresh.
Nothing was greasy and did not taste like old oil. It was excellent.

“We just tried out the new location in north Providence. It was absolutely delicious!!!! It was very clean, the service was exceptional and very attentive. They came over to us several times to make sure everything was okay. The manager Bob was super nice ! He came over to introduce himself and made sure we were okay several times as well! “The food is always fresh, the location is very clean, well decorated and cared for. The staff does a great job preparing your dishes. It's quick and easy unless it gets really busy. They keep things moving quickly if you know what you want. I have not had a bad meal or negative experience at Baja's. I guess this is why they are successful.
