“My husband and I went there for the first time today. We had the trotter which is a turkey sandwich with munster cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and thousand island dressing. It was excellent. “My fiancé and I stopped here on a Friday night for the first time. We had tried a handful of other bars in Newport that were all packed but when we walked into Bar 12 it was almost empty. I ordered the Secret Garden cocktail and was so impressed with the presentation! It tasted as good as it looked too! I stopped by again this past Friday with four of my friends and tried the lemon meringue drink this time. It was amazing- super sweet and tasted just like a lemon bar! The prices are really reasonable for the quality of the cocktails and the location. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night or small groups, the bathroom was super clean, and overall I’m just really shocked it wasn’t more crowded both times I went!“

The owner Paul is so nice and his staff is so friendly. I'm always greeted with a smile.

I especially love getting a juice from here after yoga around the corner, but from time to time I'll get a smoothie or the coconut bacon BLT. The BLT is just as good as real bacon, I think there's some kind of black magic involved in the recipe.

The atmosphere is nice, especially sitting out front and watching the people walk by. Very enjoyable on a nice sunny day.“

“We had a wonderful dinner during Restaurant Week. Without question, it was the best combination of value and we experienced. The $30pp 3 course meal was delicious. We had mussels and crispy tuna eggroll. For the main we had cod/polenta puttanesca and pasta w/white clam sauce. Both big servings and cooked perfectly. Dessert was crème brûlée and gelato. Service was friendly. The only negative was the noise level, a little loud and close. Still a very enjoyable evening. We will be back.“

“Atmosphere is meh. A lot of tvs around with basically 0 seating. Pizza was delicious but the crust could have used some more flavor. It was a thin but sturdy crust. Had BBQ chicken and it was lacking a bit on the BBQ flavor like it was only applied on top.“

“We came in Sunday evening for a small dinner and dessert and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and filled our drinks quickly. It was pretty empty when we got there but packed when we left. The food was AMAZING. We shared the short rib special and it was so good! For dessert we had the chocolate mousse and bread pudding which were also sooooo good! The restaurant itself was beautiful. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely dine here again!“

“There was a mess up on an order, I have spoken to the staff and manager 3 times. I've been waiting on an email to compensate me for the mistake. My understanding is that they use a 3rd party, well checking everyday for now over a week. As pleasant as Denise ,the manager, is follow through hasn't happened. No email, I give up, for people that know me....I never leave a bad review but try to deal with it directly.That usually fixes the problem. I won't go back and I'm not looking for the email anymore.“
