Ramen Restaurants near Providence, RI

“Two things I don’t play at all about, are a proper chai tea latte and RAMEN. Ever since Providence lost Ken’s Ramen, we’ve desperately needed this noodly void filled, and in the footsteps of the legendary establishment that was Big King, came Pickerel, and boy do they go above and beyond the call of duty.

We had the Cabbage Ceasar (VITAL) and the Menma rice to start, both were astutely delectable, but the Cabbage Caesar’s mountainous glory is a MUST order, to simply behold, but also serves as the perfect palate opener for the deliciousity to ensue.

The kitchen cares and that’s beyond evidently clear, with the love and care and attention to detail in every cut of seaweed, every sprinkle of spice, there’s thought in every part of the Pickerel experience. Beyond the kitchen, even the bathroom’s aesthetic is of worthy note. The ceiling vents are even a noteworthy aesthetic detail.

We had the carpenter st and rhode island red bowls and i couldn’t recommend either enough — if you love spice like I do, the rhode island red hits the spot like none other!

hats off to the chefs, the bartenders, even the fellow guests felt like we all were in this together as appreciators of a quality culinary experience.

“Came here spontaneously for lunch, it did not disappoint!! I ordered an iced matcha latte and the lunch special Yakisoba + shrimp and tofu with a side of miso soup. My friend ordered the miso ramen with a side of shumai. All of it was so good. I am already planning on coming back!“

“Tori Tomo has the very best ramen I have ever eaten. They know me well. I eat lunch there at LEAST once a week. Get the Tom Yum Ramen with Chicken. It's very hot and spicy but not inedible! It's the perfect meal. So satisfying and tasty. Most gracious owner/ chef and lovely waitstaff are always keeping the place in perfect form. It's a literal "can't miss" choice.“

“Spotted this place and the signage and vibes bewitched me into coming in. The build-your-own bowl was great, and they charge a flat price for it. (Lesson learned, next time I’m filling my bowl up to the brim.) Ooh right, the rice is free too. We got one, but you can get free rice per each bowl. So worth your money! The veggies and stuff there are pretty fresh, and the noodles (no matter what kind you choose) are all so chewy! It did take a little while for my bowl to arrive, but the wait was definitely worth it since the soup was warm and comforting. Service is very nice, and the background music is relaxing. Stop by here and give this place a try!“
